  1. Yeah that was to pull the joint apart clean, inspect and repack it, then fit new boot. A boot kit is about $40-50 but then you do the work and buy the joint grease. I thought it was a fair price.
  2. Just ring up your local driveshaft workshop. Be easier as prices will vary but I did pay around $100 to replace a boot only. I removed and refitted the shaft myself.
  3. Hey guys Does anyone have the diagram for the power windows for the M35? At the moment when I switch off the ignition I can still operate the drivers power window for around 45 seconds but only the drivers window. I want to able to do the same with atleast the front passenger window via the drivers switch. If I can also do both rear windows that's great but not a must. So if anyone has the wiring layout or has already done this can you please post up some info. Cheers
  4. So you would want it out of a marine type carpet? The factory one isnt carpet, it's a thin fabric with a thin rubber back. I'll see what they can offer.
  5. I was thinking of taking my mat to a trimmer for a price on getting the made. might try this week.
  6. Can you still buy the hks camp system?
  7. Luckily I have both of the factory mats, the rubber mat and the mat that runs up to the back of the seats for when you fold them flat. About 2 months ago I did see a set of mats that covered the wheels arches that matches my mat but I forgot to bid on them. Never seen either of the mats before or after that on yahoo.
  8. Ok, so there is no hard fact the Nissan bypass the cooler when in manual mode. This makes sense as its stupid to not cool the fluid when you are working the trans harder.
  9. Always. E10 doesn't need a debate, it's safe so use it and at United servos they have E10 100oct.
  10. So why do guys think it doesn't cool the fluid when in manual mode? Did they find something in a manual stating it doesn't or just a hunch? How are you checking oil temps in the trans, Do you have an a/market gauge fitted? I'm keen to know the outcome on this as I never use manual mode as too worried I'll over heat the trans.
  11. Yep. Just read that PDF. This kit isn't what I was thinking it was. Atleast I don't need to rip out the valve body again. So is there a way to have fluid running through the cooler when in manual mode at all then?
  12. Looks like you will have a lot of valve bodies to pull out again! Wish I knew about this at the time I did mine.
  13. Damn. Has anyone fitted this kit? Pricing?
  14. MV automatics are in Blackwood SA.
  15. Ah, so it's not actualy 3M shielding, it just uses 3M adhesive backing. Wondered why I couldn't find it on the 3M website.
  16. Thanks muchly.
  17. Nice work so far. Very interested to see the final outcome. Have you got the name or part number for the 3M heat shield and cost/supplier? Cheers
  18. Can you get those wheels in a +20? I think they will sit in the guard a little to far in the size your looking at. Not sure if you remember where mine sit but the size your looking at will sit inside another 16mm from my 18x9+30. Mine sit very flush and don't scrap at all with my tyre size and ride height.
  19. Ryan on my 18's I run 245/45-18 and the speedo is now only out about 2-3km instead of the previous 10km I had measured. Deffinately go a 245/45. So when the speedo shows 60 I'm now doing about 58 actual speed, before it was closer to 50 actual speed when speedo showed 60.
  20. Is this the factory Bose spare wheel sub into a non Bose factory head unit? Please PM connection details if it is. Cheers
  21. Won't a good tune give him that! I've seen a few SR20de+T tuned by my mate and never had an issues with detonation as you tune it safe and correctly for each set up and situation. It will be fine on 98oct
  22. Ill pick 212rwkw.
  23. $165, I hope they are washing the car for you, lol.
  24. He is in NSW. Just go to MV Automatics, you won't regret it. They fitted a shiftlkit and 3000rpm stall in my 180sx years ago when it was still auto. Great job and back up service.
  25. I use Pedders at ridgehaven. They do great work. They charge $110 for 4 wheel alignment but over the years I have learnt that you get what you pay for. I recently took my M35 to a tyrepower twice and got the worse job I've ever had! Only charged $60 but also chewed out the inside of all 4 tyres by setting it up with a shitload of toe for some unknown reason. So I went back to Pedders and now all good again. Should have stuck with Pedders from the get go like I usually do but tyrepower are closer for me, never again.
