  1. Only downer i can see is the missus moaning about the heat hehe!
  2. "but why bother with the old and in with the new go with a clutch-less steel fan go 2 http://perma-cool.com/Catalog/Contents.htm" Bottom of the pages says "Not for performance engines" also notice the stated loss in fuel economy and operating revs! Obviously not many have seen the damage an over reved "Flex Fan" does under the bonnet when the rivets let go. Stick with what the factory supplied or go electric thermos
  3. Only another 6 days of it though (or so they say). Must admit nothing better than working on the car with the sweat running off you quicker than you can replace it! And you know its bloody hot here when Roxby only got to 44 today!
  4. I was using United's boost98 for a long time but have recently changed to BP Ultimate. Roughly about 400km's stop start and short trips, but did Adelaide to Hardwicke Bay on just over 1/4 of a tank! Have been told to stay away from the local Shell, dirty tanks!
  5. Now thats the stuff, maybe today tonight could use this somehow aswell!
  6. Try Japanese Import Spares or Viva Garage in Adelaide.

  9. Highly recommend Darren Lewis. Had alot of work done by him and really cant fault his work. Only drama is he's at Mt Barker!
  10. Thanks Charles, just the answer i was looking for. Patch up the cracks and back on she goes!
  11. This does seem like a step in the right direction maybe, but as part of a larger group we must also be careful. I think SLED pretty much sumed it up though, you have to remember that this is the guys job and as a club we can not change SAPOL or Regency Parks perogative. All we can do is voice a valid concern about import drivers being classed as hoons by the media and offer him a view point from our perspective. Maybe a little more communication between SAPOL and Regency could be a good point to raise, as there seems to be alot of descrepencies between what the two state on defectable items. I know we had similar problems with CCSA and SAPOL back in the day. Normally once you put some valid points forward and commend them on their assistance they sort of see you in a different light. But all the best to those attending and hopefully it has a good outcome for all
  12. Just did 100k service and weighing up the pros and cons of refitting the front under tray. Any one have any idea on whether this affects cooling or under bonnet temps ?
  13. JMW

    Bags!

Yeah have also known people who have cursed putting bags in their car, smoother ride but the handling of the Bismark
  14. take the door trim off and drive around, will be easier to find whats causing it. Almost sounds like the rivets that hold the power window assembly are starting to wear.
  15. There is an ENFUE in Pt Wakefield! Surprised the hell of me! Yeah you need to tune if your running E85- car can use near on 30% more fuel, so i've heard.
  16. Absolute freaking gold
  17. Not sure if anyone has posted this one?
  18. Sand drag bike by the sound of it, use to be big at Ponde!
  19. Yeah no worries Danny, great to hear the comp was good too! I should be about most of tomorrow, also fixed the PM thing too
  20. Pretty much! Have a play around with the pre-load on the spring and the bump and rebound adjustment once you've got them on the car and driven on them. But yeah, as long as the spring is captive as a starting point.
  21. Yeah that's me! Was another sedan getting around the area too, seriesI with what looked like an EastBear kit on it. Didn't mind the look of the kit either!
  22. Holy Crap! You are really lucky it was just the cover and not the flywheel aswell! Almost looks as if the cover was out of balance and threw its self apart. Really sorry to hear about it, and not good news for a clutch builder either!
  23. All i did when i fitted my JIC's was take the tension up on the spring so it wasn't loose, then adjusted the height from the base, Bennett is spot on! Dont forget to secure your ABS sensor cable either! I just left mine on the original bracket then cable tied it to the strut in a similar place (where it wont rub on a tyre or rim) But in all, easy as to do
