on the skyline i run 235/40/18s front and 265/35/18s back...car was in for a check up at a suspension/tyre specialist few weeks back and all was well...apparently still life in the tyres after over a year of driving at 40 psi..

muhaha...love your posts as always nark.. just concerns me though that you participated in a game that you thought was gay...with the dry humping the same sex and all... and you would rather watch a gay game with blokes humping each other than AFL... as for the bandwagon jumping, i been involved in the game in some way all my life and love every world cup...and this time it is the most exciting as we are in the great comp...as for others who may have jumped on, good on them..

i think the people bagging soccer here have either never played the great game or understand just how clever/difficult it is to score a goal..thats why the players go beserk after kicking a goal... i played in and watched some awesome 0-0 games in the past with great excitement.. i love AFL to bits, but it should not be compared to soccer, the greatest game in the world in my and a billion or so others opinion..

So finally the day has come...i been looking forward to this day since Aloisi's famous penlaty shot blasted the Uruguay net... I have taken 4 weeks off work and i will be going to various venues to watch the games, i also converted one of the living rooms downstairs at my house into a 'world cup games room' with a big screen, heiniken on tap and spare beds in other rooms for mates to crash overnight... I would have loved to go to Germany but didnt work out...so what are you guys doing and where are you guys watching the games?? maybe some of you dont even care... Anyway...best of luck to the aussies....

hey alan.. i was and still am in a similiar situation since about a year ago, and i was considering a lotus elise(i know its not in the above list) for a daily drive and maybe some track days...aparently they handle rather well and have a good power to weight ratio...and in my opinion they look good, different and are relatively rare.. the only downside that i can think are the size which may cause practicality issues, the lack of electronics like power windows(which i dont overly mind having less buttons around) and a hard suspension(again i dont mind that much)... but it is over your budget, 99-00 models range from 40-55k.. and of course it would take away some of the home-sickness that u may still experience from time to time just thought i would add something different to the list..
