  1. Lol i know the rules ash thats why this is only an EOI if it becomes a GB i will post in the GB section. Thanks for your concern though
  2. Honestly James, best thing to do is get it online (even from the US with the exchange rate) but make sure you try sizing first (just go to any shop and see what you want and try it and just order online) but if you really want to buy here Peterstevens has a good selection and the clearance center is a good. I've never been here myself but I've be meaning to check them out, you should too http://amawarehouse.com.au/. If you need any advice or help James you still have my number yea? PS. When you get your bike let me know we'd love to have you on our rides PPS. I have a friend at peter stevens who could most likely get you 15% off on all gear (excluding clearance) if your bent on shopping here and not online
  3. Battery could you take some pictures and upload them to give us a better idea on how much it is actually protruding. Also do you have the one with the nipple or without?

  9. According to this http://cgi.ebay.com.my/MAGNETIC-DRAIN-OIL-PAN-PLUG-SKYLINE-R32-R33-R34-GTR-/160501240692 12mm with a pitch of 1.25mm I will double check before I place an order too but the ebay link says F-103(12mm-1.25) fits Nissan: 1990 & on all models(Sentra, Pulsar, Maxima, Stanza, Wagon, 200SX, 300ZX,Gas trucks, etc.) Birdds you smart nutter you, yea I wanted to get the one with the nipple....giggidy....but they advised against it for low cars <<< Thats the one...I thought I could be even more lazy by attaching a tube to it getting rid of the need for drain pans...buutt probably should just use the normal one
  10. Hey Guys, If you guys are like me you change your oil every 5-10K's and I know its not a big deal when it comes to draining your oil but I saw this valve which will make it just a little bit easier. Its not expensive shipping is cheap but since I'm going to order one anyway why not save you guys a few dollars, even more if we have a large interest, but otherwise if you like it you can just can go a head and order it otherwise if your intrested in a group buy show some interest and I'll organize something if we get enough people. 13. Does anyone know where to get one of these? http://www.amazon.com/Plastics-Group-W78-Drain-Container/dp/B000HEBYYU It's basically a screw top drain pan so you can store it until you make a trip to the tip, no mess no fuss. It doesn't have to be this exact one but the only other one I saw in Australia seems like absolute shit. I first saw this at a friends house in Brisbane where he said he got it at a local Repco but I've been all around town here and cant find it for the life of me so I'm hoping you guys will be able to help me out -JR

  15. I find this bit PARTICULARLY interesting Parking inspectors said they were "horrified" to learn the multiple booking of cars left in one place was illegal. The controversy stems from an email sent to parking officers last month that told them to ignore their training manuals and 11 years of practice and stop issuing multiple infringements to a "vehicle that parks in one place and doesn't move the next day".
  16. Drivers face $25m Melbourne Council parking trap UPDATE 10.24am: son of rajab Mayor Robert Doyle has apologised to motorists for double booking people for parking tickets, even as the council embarks on an aggressive push to raise $25 million more from motorists over the next four years. The mayor today claimed Melbourne City Council's bid to slug an extra $25 million from motorists over the next four years, was not about revenue but "turnover" of car spaces. The new plan which will use high-tech underground sensors to detect motorists who overstay their park by just minutes. But even as the council planned to introduce a new high-tech system to nab more motorists, Mr Doyle conceded 42 individuals had already been reimbursed over multiple fines. The son of rajab Mayor said the council was embarrassed by the blunder, that saw motorists pinged twice for parking in the same spot. Council documents seen by the Herald Sun reveal hundreds of parking fines have been handed out illegally over more than a decade due to bureaucratic bungling. The mess could extend to other local government areas and is expected to lead to a flood of refund claims, totalling hundreds of thousands of dollars. Parking inspectors said they were "horrified" to learn the multiple booking of cars left in one place was illegal. The controversy stems from an email sent to parking officers last month that told them to ignore their training manuals and 11 years of practice and stop issuing multiple infringements to a "vehicle that parks in one place and doesn't move the next day". "I apologize to anybody who has been multiply booked and we will refund the money," he told Radio 3AW. "I think we should be embarrassed about it, I am frustrated by it, but it is the right thing to do." Meantime, news of a $25 million grab in parking fines using new high-tech sensors was not about revenue, Mr Doyle claimed, but turnover of car spaces. "What I want is turnover of those car spaces," he said. Mr Doyle said the council would be happy to reap no extra money if driver's adhered to the parking time limits. Melbourne City Council councillors will next week vote on plans for a hardline approach aimed at reaping an additional $6.4 million in fines every year. This will push Melbourne's annual revenue from parking fines to almost $50 million. A month-long trial of new in-ground sensor technology showed almost one in five drivers overstay their time period. The new technology is expected to nab an extra 150 cars a day, or 53,000 a year. The technology, first reported in the Sunday Herald Sun, will be able to alert parking inspectors seconds after a metre expires. Melbourne's parking officers last year issued about 460,000 parking fines to the 11 million cars in the CBD. "The new technology will deliver a higher level of PINS (parking infringement notices) issued than the original budget estimate," the council memo said. "Allowing the recovery of once-off costs, the net return over a four-year period is estimated to be between $7.6 million (conservative scenario) and $25.7 million (aggressive scenario)." Parking fines in the CBD range from $60 to $119. son of rajab Mayor Robert Doyle is looking to install 4500 sensors across the CBD, Southbank and West Melbourne to boost revenues. But business owners are worried the crackdown will drive shoppers out of the city. [email protected] - with Anne Wright 105 comments on this story
  17. Pretty much any electronics store (Dick Smiths is ridiculously overpriced but it's your best bet for a sure thing) also most camera stores will have them too
  18. Thanks for the replies guys, I called them today and basically said it was slightly unfair and basically told them how shit their assessors treated me and how they wouldn't tell me anything how they were fixing the car pretty much came out made an assessment and said I could go I was like wtf??? So told her if it was reversed (their client hit me) would they let me say well take it to 2 different panel beaters and I'll choose who i want and she said "well no" and I said exactly, she basically said ok, just get the quote that I want and she said she'll put a note to basically authorize my panel beater (as long as its reasonable of course)
  19. Hey guys I have a small questions when dealing with these insurance people, my car was hit while it was parked at home (get was busted had to park it on the street) when I got home I found that my neighbor had backed into my car when she was pulling out of her drive way, very nice lady left her number and reported it to her insurance the very day. My question is that AAMI is asking me to either 1. Take it to their guys to fix or 2. Take it to one of their guys and get a quote AND take it to my panel beater and get a quote, I think its fairly obvious to say that they want the cheaper quote but this isn't right why should I have to get a panel beater to do a shit shop just because they quote less her client HIT ME!! Does this mean if I ever get in an accident with someone else I can say ok well you take it to YOUR panel beater and take it to this guy and I'll choose which one I want to pay for, it doesn't work that way so why do I have to do it for them?
  20. Haha story of my life Birds, when we catching up again anyway?
  21. Hey guys I know I've been a little scarce as of late, if you know me you know I travel a lot and your probably relieved since I haven't been posting anywhere as much as I use to but anyway, I just wanted to post up some photos of an epic trip that me and a buddy of mine did about a month ago to Tasmania. You probably have heard over and over how amazing it is but really the roads and sights are phenomenal and no amount of pictures or explanation would do this trip any justice so if you ever get the money and the time DO IT, it's probably one of the best advice I can give you. http://www.facebook....23&l=a04e44f838 This album was the start of the trip (obviously) boarding the boat, if you get a cabin (as opposed to ocean recliners) don't get the window you pay extra but see shit all and is not worth it since you'll probably be drinking on the deck anyways. We arrived next morning at 6am and proceeding straight to Stanley (after having a quick stop and Penguin where ironically there is no more Penguins (they have left but you can still see them in Stanley apparently) where we climbed (....fine took the chairlift) up to Mount Nutt Reserve (yes walking around in leathers on a Mountain in 30 degree weather is ridiculously hot) afterwards we spent the night at Queenstown and double backed to Strahan the next morning which is a place I definitely wouldn't mind retiring in if you do travel to Tassi, try to book a hotel here for the night. If you get the chance there is a Train that goes through the mountains in Strahan that looked beautiful but we had a schedule to keep and didn't have 5 hours to go on the train. http://www.facebook....23&l=267a7a05b7 The end of album one and the start of this one is probably the most amazing road I have ever seen; its a twisty road behind Queenstown which is a mining town and the road is maintained by the mining company so it was absolutely perfect the bends were amazing and really the view from the top was breathtaking. On our way to Hobart we passed a reserve which we stopped to take a break from the ride and decided to see what secrets it had to offer, and it had one hell of a secret. We didn't know to expect until we actually reached the waterfall it was nothing we were expecting to be so close to the main highway but it was one of the highlights of the trip (I know it was just a waterfall but you had to have been there). Once we arrived to Hobart and dropped off our gear and went to Mount Wellington which towers 1271m over Hobart, unfortunately it started to rain when we got up there but never the less the view was still remarkable we wanted to go up again the next day (we spent 2 nights in Hobart) but it was still raining, hopefully if you go you'll have better luck then we did. We ended up missing the ride to Strathgordon where all riders we met on the trip raved about so make sure you don't make the same mistake we did. The next day we went to a wildlife reserve (ZOODOO) located near Hobart(ish) since we wanted to see some tassi devils and got to see (and feed) a whole range of animals, the white tigers, took us by great surprise. http://www.facebook....23&l=66fc5ff9ba This album contains more images from the zoo and a Motorcycle museum we found on our way to Launceston from St. Helens (I think, it could have been from Hobart to St. Helens) http://www.facebook....23&l=be1ed0a60f After spending the night at Launceston (and getting really really drunk) we went to the Cataract Gorge Reserve if you decide to go here BRING SOME BATHERS! Hot sunny day it would have been perfect, of course we didn't really know if we were going to swim and with limited cargo space we had to skip this part but trust me for all those single guys out there you'll want to bring a set, and if your not single....look but don't touch . After that it was back to Davenport where we could only wish we allocated more then 5 days for the trip. Trust me this is a trip of a lifetime if you can do it you wont regret it Now I took the bike here but I could just imagine how incredible it would have been with the car as well if your keen for this trip check out Hamish's Tasmania POI thread its been on there for ages but if your interested let him know and hopefully we can get some interest on this to have an SAU event for it. JR Edit: Grammar and spelling retardness
  22. Haha I know I was so pissed with the quality of Silverstones I went back and told them I don't care if you give me something a little more expensive just don't give me this shit again, in terms of quality vs price its the best I've found so far
  23. I wish I could go with Shannon's :-(
  24. Just putting this in there Just Car are DICKS, it might not be relevant but some late 30 year old woman was picking up her kid from school when she decided to cut in front of my on my motorcycle and have me run straight into her this was 6 months ago she's trying to dispute the claim and said I was trying "undertake" her which is BS cause it was a 2 lane road but just because the parked cars were taking up the left lane she assumed she could turn from the right. Which the on scene officer clearly pointed out (Which was quite funny really: "I thought it was 1 lane" "No it's two" "But the" "It's Two" "are you sure?" *silence*) ANYWAY your probably thinking how this relates to justcar well despite i have the POLICE REPORT saying its her fault and she obviously has paid the fine for it they are still trying to dispute it. Six months later my bike is still scratched, my leathers are scratched my helmets scratched just because those dicks wont admit fault. They keep telling my they wont take FULL responsibility but are willing to pay for some damages, I wish i could find the guy handling my case and show him what it feels like to get hit by a Land Cruiser on a motorcycle. That goes to say my car wont be re-insured with them again.
  25. Sorry to say this bud but IMO Silverstones are craptastic, yea they are ok when you first drive on them and you go "Hell yea these are awesome value" but seriously not even 20% worth of wear and they become absolutely shocking especially in water, I have a fairly stock standard car only with a few mods pushing ~200rwkw and no shit when it rains these tyres would pretty much always spin even before hitting my stock turbo it got so frustrating I ended up starting in second just so I didn't look like a dick to everyone around me if you want budget i think my best experience has been MAXXIS don't remember which ones but I was fairly impressed moving on from Silverstones to them
