What Does This Key Do !
ELFGT350 replied to maclarenf1's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Yep that thing near the key is the transponder for the imobiliser. Car wont start without it. Funny, just looking at the manual little while ago and it mentioned somethin about a Rear Curtain button near the VDC control. But obviously not the case..unless curtain was removed. But I'm sure Chris is right wbout the heated glass option. cheers -
Hi Andy just noticed the message below..that caused a big Doohhh--software developer not looking at anything after 04 ??. The functions on mine 11/05- looks the same is the firmware that different ?. Any chance developer will look at them further down the track ? Cheers QUOTE (Stel @ 9 Jan 2009, 09:02 AM) Hi Guys, Any idea if this translation will be compatible with an 06' model v35? Or if there are any other options in any case? Thanks We don't believe it will be. At this stage we believe it will only work up to late 2003 or early 2004 models. Cheers Andy

Has Your V Been Mistaken As Something Else?
ELFGT350 replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Just a head up guys since thread is active. Cops are out breathalising just got checked three times between east/Suburbs and parramatta rd Ashfield !! Be Cool on the booz Cop sussed my car out from back to front and was speechless for a few seconds its was funny. As for the kids knowing the Skyline _I'm not surprised -they work everything out real quick, computers, whos who in movies. They have sharp eyes and keen senses. By 10--I knew every car made here, every spec, every engine output, it was scary !!..Then came girls..and thats why I'm writing at this time..!!lol -

Has Your V Been Mistaken As Something Else?
ELFGT350 replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
There are some f-- geniuses out there lol..and the last was the least.SOME red necks in their v8 commodores/utes.. Sorry boys Again SOME of these guys are the only tossers who have had anything negative to say about the car. Have encountered three (two ute owners) who give the car the "snub" and I actually overhead one arse-wipe in a VE 6lltre-say "jap shit" to his passenger. Couple of other Commodore V8's just buried their right foot at traffic lights--Says one Thing They must be just scared of us hehe.!! Funny never got that response from the FPV's-they just give me the thumbs up ! -
Has Your V Been Mistaken As Something Else?

Note also many younger guys who are into cars -18-24- think they are way too cool to be seen to be interested in your car..you know the whole attitude thing - Whereas the older dudes are a bit more personable. -
Has Your V Been Mistaken As Something Else?
ELFGT350 replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Absolutely !- Most of guys who stopped to talk about the car were older than 40.And the guys who really loved it > over 50. Plenty of young guys too--mostly wanting a run though or justing curious how quick it was. From their line of questioning .I sensed most young blokes werent quite as interested in the style as the older guys. -

About To Get V35 350gt
ELFGT350 replied to [[d a n n y]]'s topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Danny, hope you come to your senses and buy one of these great cars. If not mucked around with--they are very reliable. Servicing is cheap would be cheaper than Lexus-Mines got 38K klms. now and mechanic says still have anoth 10 before I even look at brakes. Consumption is around 9klm(11/100) a litre on busy syd roads or 15klm(<7/100),/ highways. I cant work out how people think toyotas or hondas are better. My brothers 3.5 ltre Aurion albeit auto-does not get this. & Auto CRV Honda 2.4only slightly better.Mines manual but from all I hear the auto is very little diff. -

first few months I got mine.. Compliments everywhere.."f**king nice car mate .." thumbs up all the time. One time this guy stared so hard he nearly ran into the set of light ..his missus nearly slapped the shit out of him LOL.. Have heard 350z, GTR,. One guy at the servo said it looked like a sports C class at the front--I can can see that. !Most people commented on how much they liked the colour--lakeshore blue. -
Question For Skyline V35 Track Owners
ELFGT350 replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I reckon your mad if you dont have a spare of some kind. Tyres have been my ONLY curse in 25 years. I've ripped a sidewall and got a puncture at the same time once. Had the v35 one year and already encountered a puncture. -
2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible
ELFGT350 replied to FlyingEL's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I peronsally think most convertables look worse than the coupes their based on and the 370 is no different. Strangely the SC430 looks same/better as convertible same with a few others-- lamborghini, corvette and couple of others. I dont agree with Mr Eps either..Just cause you have folding roof dont make the car "classy".. Nor whether it sits on 20's and has a loud system does it change. its the overall styling that makes the car classy. The 370 is classy coupe but no better in convertible. I think that Jays not getting any more bites here because Skyline owners (especially v35) know what classy is and the argument of .."is the new V series a skyline" the only answer is drive them & find out. They go good, handle unbelievably well, yet still ride good-- is that or is it not a Skyline your honour ! -

The Excitement And Quickness Of A New Car
ELFGT350 replied to 3LGODZILA's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
You may have some issues with the car. Never found my one slow- owned R33gtst 7 years and only first few days working best engine revs in each gear.It was only a stocker--but it was healthy. Still miss it.Even though the V35 is better all round. -
20 (us) gallons (75.71 litres) is also what they are quoting on Infiniti v35. I filled 70.8 the other week- So must stand corrected-BLUPP thats the sound of my nuts crashing down. Must be tricky accessing the last five litres. Has anyone filled more than 77 litres? As nissan spec say 80.
-
Well got to your bmw page & f/off.. mate
-
Mate--Dead set drove on the warning light for more than 60K's (waited for fuel sign to STAY on too so more like 80K's)--starting to hesitate round corners. Had travelled 550Klm (mostly city driving). Trip computer showed 20k's left I filled up 69 odd litres (to the Lid!). This is definetely a 70litre tank in the 6mt Coupes No two ways --I'l bet my balls on it !! Dont waste your time. you could stuff-up the fuel pump or computer driving that low. Do not drive more than say 50K's city/80 on highway- when the RED FUEL SIGN comes up on your navigation system & you will fill up about 66+67litres. Sedans are different altogether.
-
Even after driving 60K's on the Fuel Warning Car light thingy. Car only takes 67 litres max. I know down to the last cup-full on every car I've owned and despite how I've driven them- exactly how much fuel is going in (call it a gift), with or without trip metres . The 05 Manual Coupe is definetly 70 litres Only. The Autos/Sedans I will bet are different. BLISTC is an 04 Manual, and he is spot on in what he is saying. Interesting though everyone is quoting 80 on web. P.S. I've conked out at the bowser three times on previous cars -now thats pushing your luck !
-
Hey N15Mo-Interesting-maybe as yours is a sedan ? Have never filled more than 68litres -20ks left on metre-(and I'm really bad for running on Empty). Perhaps too Auto/Manual is different. I'am seeing 80litre on the web/ but they are 03 Mods also prob Autos.
-
m6 is ugly tank. This one must be heavily modified to do that. GTR is good for 309km/h without the limiter. So am a little bit surprised.. Anyway he destroyed the M6 where it counted !!
-
Hey mate they are 70ltr tanks.
-
Hey Geoff, dont quote me, I would doubt you would have a manual adjustment. (sort of defeats the purpose I reckon) A japanese friend translated the buttons and I certaily dont recall anything that does this. Short of a changing a sensor I would just use manual. Have to admitt the auto dimmer on the dash lights was a surprise when it I first used auto lights.. But its fine.
