Agree with BLISTC about 7.8-8.3 in Heavy Sydney Traffic is right. By the way--the Screen is Spot on- I can gauge every last drop going into the car on every fill. You have to reset on each fill and you find you averages work overall. Dont just look at one point. On the Highway you get over11K/Ltre Tip- guys-try the BP Ultimate--it continually gets 30-40K more than any other 98 petrol !

Welcome fellow lakeshore blue owner. Nice Ride. The spoilers seem to suit the 4 dr better i think. I was wrapped with mine as not many coupes have only the small boot spoiler.

V35?...will It Become As 'over-crowded' As The R33?
ELFGT350 replied to superspit's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Had R33GTS'T for 7 years. Still miss it in some ways. But V35 is definitely a Step up. Do not be fooled- this is definitely quicker than a R33 (gtst). about 1/2 second to hundred & the qtr.-Its refined, better bottom end torque and still revvs to 7 grand. So shes extremely flexible. Handles as well (if not quite as sharp). The balance, steering and braking of the car is much better and easier to live with. Obviously if you want the "bullet" you go the GTR's, but thats another ballgame. I dont think the V35 will sell as much as the R33 as the R33 was more ..."racier" and had a broader appeal to younger guys. But the V35 is a better car all round..looks included & I thought I would never say that. -
V35 Import Brokers
ELFGT350 replied to Stephen Thorpe's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Geoff, Your right some of those dealers have their head stuck up their arse..Bout a year ago I saw Prestige near the ironcove bridge -gladesville.Had a really nice 03 with 30000 klm. He wanted 49. He pretty much offered me nothing on my r33gtst and barely budged on price. I should drive up there now and show him my 05 Premium (5 grade) which had 14 on the clock and cost a lot less on the road. ='Tokyo Geoff' date='2 Nov 2008, 09:55 PM' post='4235848'] I spent the whole day yesterday looking at V35s and was stunned at the attitude of a few sellers. The first was a piece of shit and had imo had the speedo wound back as it was gutless, corroded and an overall disappointment. Never mind. I dropped into a Parramatta Rd dealer who had one and had a chat but said to the salesman I just want to check the 350Z over the road before I take his for a drive. When I crossed the rd and asked about the 350Z and asked for a drive the salesman says "Sure, I'll get the keys" and goes inside. Returns a minute later "Sorry the 350 sold yesterday!" Bullshit! I then went to a guy who advertised "Darling Harbour" only to fond he has a warehouse in Camperdown. 4 other V35s on my list to see later that day from different suburbs were in the same warehouse and were being sold by his relatives! Some lovely cars but did not match the description on Carsales.com.au which a wise friend told is how dealers use just one add to keep advertising different cars by changing just one bit of info at a time. They wouldn't budge on price at all which is odd considering the economic meltdown at present. Oh well lucky I'm not in a hurry. Geoff -
V35 Import Brokers
ELFGT350 replied to Stephen Thorpe's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Most of the looks/comments I'm getting are at night. Guess it comes down to the car, wheels, etc. The day I test drove a silver one--there were six other v35's,- red, white, silver, bright blue, black. Everyone there( 10people checked the black & silver) not one person looked at the white or red.- they were pretty standard though and I guess thats why ! But whatever does it for you-all good. -
Anyone Seen These Wheels Before ?
ELFGT350 replied to manda23's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Here is my o5 coupe. Not sure what the chip is. I know all standard V35's pull 206kw.Add the exhaust & chip and the I few a saw/test drove were all quoting 221kw(298BHP) which is easy to believe. You loose about 30% to the back wheels. (so near enough). Look at the wheels another way-Check what you would get for em now & if its alot less than a decent set of 19's you will be out of pocket anyway. Better to hang on to them. otherwise choice is yours.. -

The Black and the Lakeshore Blue are absolutely stunning both in the pics & the metal. Imported the first Lakeshore Blue coupe into Syd and could not believe the looks I still get not to mention comments.. The dark grey & silver are okay. The red & white are horrible (sorry) The rest you can take it or leave it. The R series cars colours were all very nice & suited the shape not so in the V's. -
Anyone Seen These Wheels Before ?
ELFGT350 replied to manda23's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Sorry-they are 19inch rims-Just unusual to run 35 profile. Normally run 40 for 19's. But shes running slightly wider fronts 245 (i/o 225) so guess that offsets. -

ELFGT350 replied to manda23's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Manda-those wheels are hot dont loose them just yet. The biggest issue is the fact that they are 20Inch which means rubber is expensive. etc. fact is you will scratch any rim at some point. Worry about it only when you've knocked them round a bit.(swap them if you must for 19's) My 05 premium is chipped (not sure but must be Impul from all I see/hear), and has the slightly bigger exhaust. It runs like a Dream on 98 Oct so dont panic. No problems starting at all !. The power output at the engine with the chip & exhaust will get you around the 221kw (298Bhp)or over 200 hp at rear- no problem. Compliance cost 3K+GST. (three people quoted exactly that figure)). Exhaust changes will be at cost to remove then replace once complied. +Tyres separate. As others have said check they are doing everything. -
Hi Guys, all the little extras look nice and go fast bits are great on the 35. But for f--- sake its a SKYLINE not an Infinity- thats something the egotistical yanks want to own .Stay true to its origins. Die Hard Skyline fan-owned-R30, R33GTST, V35. Not to mention C119 (240K'). They are unique and should not have their name changed by anyone.

Whats Your Fave Model Skyline And Why?
ELFGT350 replied to Thanks Japan For Nissan's topic in General Automotive Discussion
1.R33GTS-T By far the best looking. I'm sure more of these were sold than any other by a Long shot. 2.V35GT350/GTR-V35-Hot Fresh new look. GTR Lost 1.st spot for me on the Weight 3.R30-Very light extremly reliable.Best Value car you could buy. 4.R32GTR-wedge lights and squarer body suite GTR flares etc, Good light weight performance 5.R34 - gts or gtr- bit too short Square at rear- overdone big tail lights. 6.C110-great dash Performance wise- lets face it guys- you get whatever you want done to all the above. So you really have to look at the original design and purpose and how each model performed. Then its individual tastes. I miss the R33 but my V35 is slowly taking over ! -
Yeh sounds good Mark.

V36 On The Docks In Wa Who Has Photos
ELFGT350 replied to a topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
You cant compare a Lexus IS250 or BMW (exceptM's) to a Skyline. The Skyline has a more sophisticated and efficient 3.7Litre engine and out handles both of them. (EASILY)The Skyline weighs around 1.55 tonne- you can add at least 150kg to both the others, even though they smaller cars. The Skyline looks like a sports GT the others are at best luxury cruisers. (very common looking) Not too sure about the 370GTs bootlid but somehow the back looks a bit more proportioned than my 05 350GT. As for the Interior- I think it is streets ahead of anything else anywhere near its price range. The design philosophy of the aluminum inserts are based on rice paper blending brushed aluminium look which offset the dark interior looks sensational. There is NO space in a IS250 lexus and little more in a 3 series.AND these are 4 Doors !! THe 370 will be in the 45-48K by mid next year. I wouldn't look twice at BMW or Lexus or anything for twice the amount they ask for !! Sorry boys go the BMW or TOYOTA or f___ HYUNDAI or anything else if that takes your fancy NOT the Skyline page.. -
V35 Differences Betwen Years
ELFGT350 replied to devram's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
USDM-V35 is spot on. I imported a 11/05 V35. It had the factory 19" Alloys for the 06 spec. The 06 has slightly different tail lights- a little sharper tapored and has the external boot release. The front of the 06 I could not pick the difference. Though dealer mentioned headlights--Maybe difference between "Projector/Reflector" headlights. My Interior trim is exactly the same as the 06. which was a hugh bonus. -

V35 Skyline, What Do You Know?
ELFGT350 replied to kralster's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thks n15m0 !- hows the 350z suspension. Is it really firm ?. Did you do the mods or where they on it? Just want to compare to standard one - which is fine- a little soft on the limits- but her limits are much higher than cars twice the price !!
