  1. Some would say it's raining. I think it natures answer for drift lube for bitumen. And it'd probably be branded GM. Apply liberally and take mums car for a spin.
  2. Hmmmm, good point there.
  3. I think it's more a case of the only cars running the passes that are in the 10's or better are the purpose built cars so for someone in a street car to get there has probably raised a few hairs on the back of peoples necks. Just keep getting faster BK and try do everything to the ANDRA regulations rather than CADRA. If it's at national spec then there can't be any arguement. If they do pick on something I would assume it would be for the safety of yourself and the other racers. I can understand what you are saying about running that time at a test and tune though, it should have been left until a bracket meeting before something was said. Test and tune is exactly that, testing your equipment and making any changes required. See you out there when my new gearbox is in.
  4. No, the next test and tune scheduled for the 14th has been brought forward to the Saturday afternoon for a trial of afternoon meetings. So instead of being Sunday the 14th it will now be Saturday the 13th from 1pm. Racing will commence around 2pm. It will also be grudge matches, so admission for spectators will be gold coin donation as a gesture of good faith to support the club. So if you have a car, know someone who has a car and want to have some fun in their everyday car, rope them in for a afternoon racing. The more people attend these meeting the faster or facilities will improve.
  5. Another box was sent to car parts heaven this afternoon.
  6. I think you should come along Nathan, you car is miles straighter than my car.
  7. Just a quick note, if you are free on Tuesday the 12th may and race at the drags and want something put forward, then be at 43 Dixon Rd at 6pm. Pizza is provided, B.Y.O. any "BEVERAGES". Contact is 89532224 for any other info.
  8. Chumbie has all the forms but I think it early arrangement. CG's performance works cars will be there.
  9. Typical government, misleading people because they are too lazy to state the most important part.
  10. Even nathan's car did well. New pb of 14.5.....
  11. Champ photo's ozzy, fab did a massive job with his burnout. Was so big I couldn't see anywhere in the staging lanes. Third gear ftw
  12. You should've asked yesterday jimmy, I had a spare place. I think everyone ran new PB's today. Oz was the fast jap car with 11.4, I ran 12.2 and craig ran 12.6 Cheering
  13. I dunno craig, once I get traction I catch him faster than you
  14. I think that MR2 would be about on par with Craig I'd say. Once I gets starts sorted I should be able to go faster.
  15. As soon as I sort out what's wrong with the idle solenoid then she's good to go. Bloody mid mount MR2 got faily good launch or what. Pretty keen to seen him run at drags. Should run high 12 I think.
  16. Gotta love backyard knowledge. Count me in for easter drags, planning on being out there for saturday and sunday. Wanna run a new PB if I can.
  17. What'll drive you nuts is warming the engine up before you want to go for it. That'll be the only time people would be in front of you
  18. Gearbox arrived this afternoon. Just have to fit it now and get new tyres for drags
  19. So pretty much lost it on the return from being sideways and bounced off whatever he collided with and into something else that was metres away
  20. Sure it wasn't a dog or something?????? Hmmm, both rims on the same side of the car? Must've been flying to damage both or nah? I've had a couple benders and the only way to f**k both rims on the same side is driving like a spanner. Speed and gutter don't really look good when it comes to trying to explain how it happened
  21. Not me, working and my car spat third gear saturday night. New box is on it's way
  22. Here's how I fixed this issue: The guys that installed my alarm told me that the yellow wire on the (viper) alarm harness was what sensed if the engine was running or not. They suggested to cut this wire, but after I did, the alarm thought the engine was never on, so it would start arming while I was driving. Obviously this wasn't a practical solution... So I busted out my voltmeter. What I found was that the yellow wire has 14V running through it when the engine is on, and 0 when the engine is off. I needed to find something that was 14V when the engine is on, and 0 when the key is removed and hook that up to the yellow wire input of the alarm. I tested the wires in the TT harness, but they didn't change when the key was removed, only when the engine turned off. Then somehow my eyes rested on the parking brake wire... Testing showed that the parking brake wire was 0 when it was pulled up, and 14V when it was released. If I hooked that up to the yellow wire of the alarm, when the parking brake was pulled, the alarm would think the engine had been turned off, and would activate as soon as you opened and closed the doors (I have auto-lock and auto-activate on). So I ran a wire from the gray wire of the parking brake sensor to the yellow input of the alarm, and it works perfectly, assuming of course that you pull the hand brake every time you get out of your car... The best thing was that the wires I tapped into were in the alarm harness and the TT harness so I didn't have to touch any factory wiring... Hope this helps...
  23. Wanting to see how your car turns out jordan. Mine don't have a wing now.....
  24. Was contemplating gearbox conversion
