I don't understand. You buy a boost controller to increade boost, so you buy one to run factory boost? Or am i reading it all wrong.. Don't bother increasing the boost on a rb25 unless you are getting a tune. Just stick with the factory solenoid until you get it tuned etc.

R31 Rb30E Afterkamarket Recommendations?
Ad's replied to LayneGXE's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ok only because im a nice guy ill go through it with you. Coilovers can be made to what ever height you like as they are adjustable. They also have the options on damper and camber adjustment apart from the rears witch are height and damper. If you went Angry's coilovers you will have to take the coilovers and your old struts into a workshop and have the "base, feet" what ever you want to call them welded onto the coilover. If you wanted bigger brakes you could go down a few paths the path i chose was R33 turbo as they are ALOT bigger than the shit 31 brakes and are reasonably price second hand, then you would need bigger rotors to suit witch would be R33 GTST rotors. (I can help with standard or slotted rotors as i work for Nissan) Because these rotors will be 5 stud you will have to get them re drilled to 4 stud to suit unless you done a stud conversion. Now to get these rotors and brakes to work with Angry's coilovers you will need the G7 hub adaptors witch i am running too, they are by far the easiest and cheaper way of getting bigger brakes in a 31. http://www.garage7.com.au/home/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=277&category_id=383&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=53 Of course you don't have to go R33 GTST brakes but that's upto you pretty much anything with a floating hub. You will need to read this before installing the brakes: http://wiki.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?title=Brake_Upgrades_Miscellaneous Now because your brakes will be bigger the next question will you current rims fit? Im smaller than eg R33 GTST rims 15inch? Then your 31 depending what width and offset will need 15inch or bigger. Get some new wheel bearings and repack the bearings whilst your at it so it's all fresh. If you wanted to go down the S13 front end conversation: http://wiki.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?title=S13_Suspension_Conversion Alot more money involved as you require more parts to get pretty much the same result. If you went the s13 way you wouldn't need the G7 adaptors as the s13 hubs will fit the R33/R32/S14 etc rotors and caliper's will bolt up. Not overly hard if you are mechanically minded. I done a full coilover and r33 brake upgrade on my coupe and it has been fine. Just follow the links and you shouldn't have any issues. Coilovers aren't legal unless you get them signed off by an engineer. Varies from state to state. I think i covered everything.. -

Ok i know i might get flamed for this but i have had a look around and i can't really find much and answers im looking for. Long story short i bought this turbo off a mate that converted it from bolting onto a SR by putting a OP6 rear housing on it, whilst doing that he rebuilt it and got it highflowed by Adelaide turbo services. Turbo is no blown and in my possession and im at the point where im going to get it rebuilt bigger or to similar specs soon, only problem is im not too sure if i should go bigger as im chasing midrange and more responce. The engine is a rb25 so i know what you are thinking "why more responce" i shift around the 4-6000 rpm and ill be using the car for hill climbs and motokahanas once shes all back together. The turbo was on his rb25 and he said it would spool up really quick witch is what i am after. The turbo from what i can tell is a 2860rs with a .63 rear housing. Doing some searching this turbo will choke on a rb25 up top end but im not chasing top end power. What type of power should i expect from this turbo if i rebuild it to it's current specs? What do people recommend if i decide to go bigger? Something around the 3071r 3076 etc? Anyone got dyno print outs or have fitted one of these to their car? I have attached some pics below: I tryed looking around before posting as i hate reading noob threads . Thanks Adam

These are awesome fun. Mate and i both have one and hes got a massive shed that we clear out and go crazy! Then i bring it in our workshop and the apprentice has one too so we have drift battles haha. Im in SA though.. -
I think some r33's have rev limiter in the factory computer so you cant rev them right out! But i could be wrong. Stock computer by any chance?

What series motors? Do you have engine looms left over? Pm me if so -
Im doing the quote for Steve to give to you to pass on if you get the go ahead for steering coloum and lock etc. I have no idea why they put concreate bocks in the back seat, and it's even tore the seats and door trims up. As soon as he rang me saying i needed to come down and quote on a stag i thought it may have been your car. Hopefully everything goes smoothly for you.
