  1. I would be keen to get one if you can confirm that they will take standard R33 injectors and have everything needed to fit up to the RB25 easily.
  2. You will be pleased to know that the car was originally black as expected, the paint code is GV1 which is 'black pearl' the same as R34 GTR's. Please understand that we do not expect anyone to buy a car without knowing things like this if they are unsure - in this case our client got more than 200 photos showing every detail of the cars condition so there can be no doubts that it's quite a decent car and absolutly worth the price. If we get permission from the new owner of this car then we will even post the pictures for you all to see. Auctions are unpredictable so there can be some really amazing bargains around if you are in the right place at the right time, like a Skyline R32 we got for 100 yen (around AU$1.25) a while back. Obviously there are also cheap cars around that are priced low for very good reasons and that is exactly why we check cars out properly before buying. I guess the bottom line is that anyone not willing to even ask more about these cars, or anyone who would rather just assume the worst because "imports are all dodgy" will simply not have a chance to get that bargain of a lifetime ... if you fall into this category then that's your loss but please don't ruin others chance to get a genuinely good car at a bargain price with speculation.
  3. This car has been put on hold for someone now.
  4. I should also mention that we have additional high resolution photos (1600x1200) available to anyone interested, so you can see the condition clearly prior to purchase. Anyone seriously interested should note that there has not been a single black 350GT-8 sold in Japan at anywhere near this price in the past 6 months at least ... this really is a 'needle in a haystack' type deal.

  6. errr, it's a little upsetting to see people making comments like "clearly resprayed" when you actually don't know ... please keep in mind that we are having this car inspected properly before anyone has to make a firm decision to purchase, this will include more than 150 extra photos so the condition will be painfully obvious to whoever buys it. We go to every effort to tell people accurate information about all cars we list, thus comments like "mileage may not be genuine" yet we get attacked for being honest ... I am sure you wouldn't prefer us to be like our competitors and simply leave out details like that which may seriously effect your decision to purchase. I guess my point is that if you are interested in the car then please take the time to call or email us with any questions, we will pass on all information available honestly and dig to find out anything else that we don't know already. With cars like this that appear 'too cheap to be true' we will always stongly suggest to our customers that a mechanic inspection is a very good idea and in most cases they work out to be good cars because we have done our research in advance, spoken with the seller, searched previous auction data for information on the car, etc. Anyway, it's all pointless because this car seems to be already sold to someone now - we will know for sure by the weekend when his 150+ photos and detailed condition report arrive from the mechanic.

  13. We do get discounted prices from some suppliers because we buy for our customers fairly often - just one of the many hidden advantages of buying through us
  14. There are obviously a lot of things that need to be included but here is a basic breakdown of the costs involved for this specific example: $44,175 - car cost (3,808,000 yen at around 86.2 yen exchange) $ 1,160 - FOB fee (100,000 yen @ around 86.2 yen exchange) $ 1,000 - J-Spec Imports fee $ 1,800 - estimated shipping cost including port fees, etc. $ 4,535 - import duty @ 10% of FOB price $ 5,200 - GST @ 10% of CIF price $ 45 - luxury car tax (complex calculation!!!) ---------- $57,915 - total landed estimate On top of this you will need to allow for compliance at around $3,500 plus tyres, although this price will vary a fair bit depending on who you get to do the work for you. Most compliance workshops will quote compliance including all servicing, etc. but excluding new tyres, brake pads, cat converter and anything else that might be required ... for more exact information you should call around a few workshops personally.
  15. If you mean the red thing with puffy guards and badly slipping clutch  .. that was me. I ended up stuffing the clutch so bad on my first skidpan run that we had trouble even getting up to 80 km/h on the drive home, it took a lot longer to get back home than on the drive up there that morning. According to the results I still managed 3rd fastest overall on my next run using reduced throttle with the clutch slipping badly - I was only beaten by an R34 GTR and an R33 GTR, so it would have been nice to get a shot at the other events too. Next time I will have a good clutch, new rear tyres and maybe even switch on the boost controller - I am really looking forward to it.
  16. More often than not cars in Japan with questioned kms are due to having aftermarket speedo fitted .. also most auctions houses cut the grade down when they suspect it has altered or incorrect kms. On the other side of the coin we catch export agents, other Australian importers and car dealers winding back km's on cars all the time .. I strongly believe that most winding back is done by exporters and/or local dealers once the cars arrive in Australia.
  17. Those who were interested in this bargain priced R34 GT-T coupe will be pleased to know that our first customer couldn't raise the money yet so the car is still available. We have already had the car inspected by an independent mechanic so we have a detailed report of condition and more than 120 extra photos ... overall the car was reported to be in very good condition and well worth the price. The additional photos can be viewed online at http://www.j-spec.com.au/clients/index.php?ID=4957 and details of the report can be emailed to anyone interested.
  18. Looking for an R33 GTS25t series 1 passengers seat and power window switch cluster from the drivers door .. prefer pickup from Melbourne for the seat but postage is fine for the switches.
  19. I am keen for a set of H4's and maybe some H1's soon .. when is the cut off date for the next order?
  20. It seems that whoever advised you of this fitment for an R33 GTS25t was talking about the maximum you could fit in the perfect conditions. Spacers that bolt to the hub are at least 12mm wide, but usually more like 15mm i order to be strong enough so that they don't snap .. obviously this would make the wheels stick out a lot further and almost certainly have clearance issues on the outside. I am assuming from your post that it's not rubbing too badly to make a lot of noise or to be undrivable - if it's only just rubbing enough to leave a mark on the shocks after driving around, then you might only need to get a few mm more clearance .. one way to do this might be to look go to a 255 width tyre or look at another brand of 265 as there can be a different in 'real' width of up to 10mm between brands. On the other hand if it's rubbing badly on the tyre or it's actually the rim that's hitting then you need to look at other options. Also don't forget that you might just be able to adjust a little camber out of the rear depending on how it's currently set up.
  21. The owner actually wants 2,180,000 yen car cost, thats around 2,300,000 yen FOB including a mechanical inspection - often the desired price is quite a lot higher than what they will actually take, especially if the car fails to sell for weeks on end. It will be interesting to see the final sale price, especially compared to this 1993 model V-Spec also with seriously low km's @ around 2,940,000 yen ... http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/1098
  22. The car actually passed in becuase the seller has a reserve price set which wasn't met - it has been relisted again and is due to finish on Friday 24th now. We can contact the seller directly and make an offer before the auction ends if anyone is interested? .. we can also arrange for a mechanic inspection to verify the condition of this car.
  23. We have actually sourced a few cars now for poeple in Sweden and Norway - we have special rates for European customers, please email me directly for more information.
  24. Yes, that is true - ALL aftermarket parts will have to be destroyed or re-exported with evidence provided to keep the RAWS out of hot water when they get checked out by the DOTARS. At this stage it appears that this may even include stupid things like gear shift knobs and additional gauges .. nobody really knows how strict they will be with enforcing these laws so it will be a case of "better safe than sorry" I would not personally suggest importing any car with modified parts unless you are prepared to lose them and wear the cost of buying stock parts to replace them .. trying to "sneak" anything through at this stage would be just plain stupid for you and beyond belief for the RAWS workshop.
  25. Lozza150 - I think you would be fairly close with that answer..
