  4. Don’t know if anyone is interested or not but I was contemplating getting rid of my tyres for something a little better. Description: x2 Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD2 tyres Condition: Came from the front 70 - 75% tread (I will confirm this when I get home today) Size: 225 x 45 x 17 Reason: They are ok in the dry but I want something a bit grippier in the wet. Am looking to get some Toyo T1-R's Price: not really sure I was thinking maybe $110 for the pair ??? Cheers Leigh

  7. Hey all I was just wondering if any of the importers could give a rough price break down on what makes up the total cost of a vehicle eg I was looking at the following on Jspec 1999 Skyline Coupe GT-RVSpec engine: 2600 trans: 6 speed manual milage: 32,000 km's color: Purple grade: 4 .. start price 3,100,000 yen .. SOLD for 3,808,000 yen (car cost only) .. around $57,900 landed, excluding compliance I imported my gts-t 2 years ago but can’t remember what the costs break down was. Car price 3,808,000 yen = $44,251 broker fee is what around $1000 shipping I have no idea ??? customs i have no idea ??? what else is before it even gets to compliancing??? Then for compliance do most places refer to just the compliance plate or do they mean tyres, change of fluids, other misc things + the compliance plate??
  8. I agree however in this case which i have pointed out IT SHOULD NOT MATTER... if he is not at fault and as long as he had 3rd party insurance his insurance company should be doing ALL the work. I know when i got rear ended by some woman in a BMW with my first car i only had third pary insurance however i got her licence number and rego details passed them onto NRMA and they sorted the whole thing out all i had to do was go get a couple of quotes to fix the damage... Although it would have probably been fixed quicker he had full insurance ps this is not rage at anyone here it just amazes me that andrew has had to do some much of the running around himself considering he was not at fault /end rant
  9. hey cowie appreciate the info yea i have checked then tension and it usually only sqeels for 2 - 5 seconds and then stops it's also not all the time... maybe at times a little bit of moisture is getting on the belts and causing it to slip a little who knows. also gtrgus cheers for the other idea but sounds like a bit of a band aid fix ot me i would rather just get the belts replaced if needs be It needs a general checkup anyways i just replaced all fluids and did the general checks but some stuff is better left to someone who does it every day. thanks again for all the help people

  14. yea well i am aiming low 14's also i have a set of 16's however they have tyres on them which i want to keep. Worst case scenario if you cant find anyone to buy off i will lend you mine just fit your tyres and then swap em back over later on
  15. god damn that sucks royal i still dont see why you had to do all the chasing your insurance should have done that even with 3rd part
  16. wont be running the 18's at WSID then ay
  17. hmm i think i might just take it to a proper mechanic to get looked at
  18. rebuild ??? i thought it had already had a rebuild the fact you were running that monstor turbo or did you just want to freshen it up ???
  19. cowie i thought that too but when i got my brakes inspected they didnt seem to indicate that it was the cause eg glazing. The more so put it down to the hard pads... however in saying that what Pal has said was also mentioned to me by another guy who just popped up on the forum he said that putting a bit of grease between the shims might also help so i will probably give that a try in the next week or two as its getting really bad...
  20. Hey all, Every now and then when i start the car it will squeel really loud. Now obviously its a belt but i am having trouble trying to work out which one it is. I have checked the tension on all 3 belts Alternator, Power steering and AC and they all seem fine. So it is making it hard to work out which one may be slipping a bit. I figure i can count out the AC because it will still squeel even if the A/C is turned off. Is there an easy way to identify which may be the faulty belt without replacing both of them ??? Cheers Leigh
