  1. Hey Brian, Not sure if you can point me in the right direction and I have heard from others that there is probably not alot I can do but I bought some DBA 4000 slotted rotors about 8 months ago for the front along with a new set of Race Brakes DB74 I think. Anyways the last two months braking at low speeds they squeal like they have just been raped the only way I have found to avoid this is to brake quite firmly as I am stopping then it does not do it. Could it just be the compound of the brake pad eg the low braking pressure is causing it to not really bite in hard enough and as such squeal alot ??? Any advice would be good as this did only start happening a month or two ago. I am going to pull the wheels off later this week and make sure the shims and all that are still seated correctly. Cheers Leigh
  2. hmm thats major dodge as they are very narrow roads and alot of blind corners... so many stupid people on the roads
  3. you missed out stinkypoo it was a very good turnout i thought
  4. black is the sexiest colour ever its a known fact thats why i got one... in saying that though i will consider getting another black one but it is a BITCH to keep clean as others have said you really need to wash it and put it in a dust free room within a day or two its looking like it needs a wash again which sucks but its the sacrifice you make for a sexy colour
  5. True but that has its advantages at least you know no tool will be overtaking you
  6. cheers to mrbenno for posting up about the places he called. i normally dont check this area but am glad i did. Called up vigils and the premium is like $30 more than i was paying with Just Cars however my excess has come from $2000 down to $1000 so i figured i had may as well change. So i am much happier now well i will be if i have an accident anyways other good thing was the agreed value, free 24x7 road side assistance and all my mods are covered (Note they must be legal). One other thing is anyone actually insured by Vigil i wouldnt mind hearing some feedback. The customer service seems good the 24x7 road side assistance is a bonus only downside was having to wait on phone for a good 10 minutes but i guess thats a good sign they are busy
  7. hmm i had a look on there site do they actually have it listed there... if i dont find it soon i might give them a buzz cheers for that
  8. both Macquarie pass and Kangaroo valley are good i remember on a pulsar cruise we headed up to robertson which is from memory you just take a turn off after sutton forrest. From Robertson you head down some cool hill that is steep and sharp corners and yea it takes you to kiama... it was good fun lets do it while its still warmish
  9. i am in a similar sort of position with the oil temp someone mentioned a while ago about getting an adapter plate that you screw onto where your oil filters goes on wouldnt this give a more acurrate reading of your temps than the bottom of the sump ??? only trouble is i have not been able to find this adapter plate
  10. spotted me picking up my new clutch woot i really dont even think i needed one but meh this one is meant to have a little more clamping power... you can never have to much clamping power
  11. good to hear it is being resolved.
  12. i have met oscar before and he seems like a genuine guy i dont think he is the sort of person that would rip people off.
  13. I will be attending as well
  14. oh andrew you brought a tear to my eye hehe you have a good point though its the people that make this site and the meets interesting sure the cars are good but at Jerra in particular its not like we stand outside looking at the cars. We go there to chat, eat drink and suck at trivia
  15. musy say those volks gt-c's look awesome on that car... Also not a fan of the decals but i am guessings its show car so meh
  16. i agree if you are going to remove it either get a stealth wing so it makes it looks flush at the back or get a new boot
  17. if you are not going to mod the car i wouldnt worry about it. upping the boost a bit might cause it to run a little richer though. I guess easiest thing is do the mods that you want chuck it on the dyno and see what the afr's are like. If they are really rich then buy one if not dont worry.
  18. so 1/2 the people that go to jerra dont have lines yours just is not working so you already better than them
  19. i was tempted but alas no the effort of having to get up out of the couch was to great
  20. i have never heard of it is it a new product ???
  21. it was well priced things have gone up a little but they are still pretty good menu items are now alot fancier now though i say bring back the steak burgers damn it
  22. so how about that weather last night I know in the barton/forrest area it was very strange... the amount of successive lightning strikes was unbelievable they just kept cracking right overhead every 10 seconds or so. Also one must have hit literally 20 - 30 meters from our place scared the crap out of me
  23. i am really surprised stel that your car was running leaner rather than richer... every line i know that just has boltons it richens up like no tomorrow did you have a bigger turbo or something ???
  24. one advantage to buying your car out right... not having to worry about no stinking bank i guess i was lucky plus saved like a bitch Congrats though i wish i could say the same about our house loan only a couple of hundred thousand more to go haha
  25. I can vouge for that considering i was dumb enough to stand like 10 meters from it last dyno day and get absolutly covered in shit
