it was making 173rwkw on a car with 11psi, pod and cat back in AUST... we figured that it would make more on this engine with FMIC, turbo back zorst/dump pipe and more boost..... no matter if it doesn't the parts were there to try..... no harm done

As it states ive got a MINES ecu from a S1 R33, which have the ignition module above the coil packs. I tried to put it in a car which obviously is a S2 RB25 (this doesn't have an ignition module, wether its built into the ecu or the coils i don't know). anyway plugged it in and it started but ran like shit etc etc........ POURED fuel out the exhaust.. Straight away my thought was Z32AFM, cos the car the mines ecu came out of had one on it. Ive got a Z32 sitting here and we are gonna wire it up once i get a plug, but then i thought maybe it was something to do with the ignition module problem??? any suggestions would be great, we just want to get a bit more power out of my mates car before the weekend.....

Wow thanks, i just took it to a knowledgeable mechanic in the end and he separated it for me.

A good mate of mine runs water methanol in his supercharged HR Holden... made a bit of difference, but it affects your air fuel ratios so you would need a tune. totally changes the induction note when it operating

ive heard a mates car with TD06 and ext gate with screamer and a stock exhaust he had to put back on after a defect, car was silent stocker till loaded up in 4th

I think you have come to your own conclusions and seeing as your going to be in japan it may as well be worth it, if you can afford it.... me personally i see it as buying the Tomei name more than anything, there is plenty of mechanics in australia more than capable of building an engine to that specification, i think most of them have sussed out by now the quirks of building a good RB... I did once get a quote for an N1 block but my mind fails me as to how much it cost, i know it was an 8 week wait from the land of the rising sun. PS you can buy a bare N1 Engine assembled (no manifolds or accessorys) for $12,500.
