  4. I've got an SBC unit on my GTS-T. Is yours the spec S or spec R model? Basically in off mode you are using the standard boost that the car can produce (I'm assuming this is 7psi, however figures are never bang on depending on how hard you push it etc) Using the mode knob you have channel modes; 1, 2, 3, 4, m, off -> after this one I believe you have the limiter (its a red screen) which if you tap the Volume button on this limiting screen you get a % of how much to close the solenoid once the limiter hits it's mark. You set this up first, to ensure you do not overboost you car. For e.g. my car is limiting at 0.74/10psi with a drop % of 14% (this due to the fact it was running crazy gain). Now, how much boost you get out of the setup depends on the % in the channel you set and the gain. You realistically need tune this, so you are getting you max boost towards higher rpm band. If you give it too much gain, you will reach your peak very quickly, however you will most likely overboost your pre-limiter setting as it does take under a sec to calc (you can check this with the gauge/peak gauge provided in the controller itself). If you don't put as much gain, you either need to push you foot to the floor pretty damn quick and hard to reach your top boost, hence why we adjust the gain up a little. It's all about balance. All those figures with just numbers are percentages. So, if you figure out approx if you put your foot to the floor and get a reading on say 10% then you figure out how much boost 1% is, you can approx calc your right boost levels, of course this is done with a lot of testing. Once you find the right setup, your all set. FYI - I run 10psi almost perfectly with a responsive setup with minimal overboost, 28% channel set up + 32 gain - limiting @ 0.74bar/14% Remember: running a higher gain will be more responsive, if your using std turbos you will wear these out much quicker then running with a smaller gain hence why they say to run 5-10 gain.
  5. FET TB-206 turbo timer $70 Parramatta/hills area. In good condition + cables. Would prefer pick-up.
  6. Actually now, if you touch the screen too much i.e. in one clip to brake etc it will fail you. I failed touching the screen like 10 times in the one clip when braking from hazards. Apparently you are only suppose to touch it 3-4 times max in a clip. Remember anyone can sit there and tap for braking constantly in a clip, so you need to think more realistly within the question on when you would actually brake.

    Need Help

Sounds like it might be a misfiring towards the top end. Do you hear any weird noises after you reach 4500-5000rpm? Are you running higher boost from standard? If it's a misfire it will sound like this: Most of the time it's due to spark which there are a few threads around the forums on how to fix the issue such as here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fi...mp;hl=4500-5000 It doesn't have to be your coilpacks, it could just be you need to change/regap your spark plugs, but find out what your dealing with first before you go to try and fix it.
  8. Yay for missfires! I've got another question to throw into the bunch; I've always heard when people are recommending spitfires that they are designed for a higher boost (1bar/14psi >) where standards are designed for a lower boost setting like near standard (7psi). Is this true? Or do you think it is more due to the stock coils age? Geoff - If your not sure, tube a short video, I'm sure someone could confirm if what you hearing of a morning is a missfire or not.
  9. Home use I would recommend just going with inkjet as laser isn't really worth it unless you do a tonne of printing or need the quality. Plus, you can normally buy refill kits where you can refill the inks that save you about 30%-50% by reusing the cartridges. Np, I work in IT, so this is part of my day job.
  10. +1 - More moneh to waste on purchasing more cameras to create even more revenue. I'm all for a stronger police presence over cameras anyday as cameras can't determine everything that's going on in every situation.
  11. Laser is obviously better, however pretty expensive for higher quality/yeild/colour/speed. Ink jet is of course a cheaper option, but you can still get some pretty good quality prints out of them, just you have to change or refill cartrdiges more often and are sometimes a little more costly. It really depends on your budget and what sort/style of printing you are doing and the amount of printing you are going to be doing with the printer. Edit: FYI - you probably should have posted this thead in: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/PC...ussion-f16.html
  12. From what I believe/was told, seeing as these cameras have a dual purpose and a new name there's rules/laws for these type of cameras over a regular speed camera. Speed cameras have a main purpose of checking speed, and under the law requires 3 signs/notifications before the camera (if I remember correctly). Saftey cameras or at least signs saying Saftey cameras ahead have been out for a while with the law stating they only need x1 sign/notification before this sort of camera. So basically it's a loophole. They have called these cameras 'new' saftey cameras to get out what they want the cameras to do. I have nothing against this, as if they really want to do it, they will find a way. No point complaining about it. /2c
  13. Thanks mate, will do.
  14. Yeah, cool thanks. I figured it might be due to the move. Just giving you the heads up incase you were unaware, and so you know I'm not trying to spam teh forum with empty topics Thumbs up in the choice of hosts, I run a box or 2 at the same host - there pretty good
  15. Oil Filter Block for RB26DETT - has/uses the same gasket against the engine for an RB25DET (Just Jap stock and sell the gasket for $10 a pop) Selling for $170 Prefer pick-up from/in the parramatta/hills area. P.S. Sorry about the other thread.. there was an error when creating the thread, check the bugs forum.
  16. Hey guys, I just posted this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...&b=1#entry0 However when I was posting it took about 5 minutes to create and it seems like my connection dropped with the server for a few minutes after as well. Anyone able to delete that thread? Will reopen a new thread.
  17. If you have no luck with Hi Octane Racing, let me know. I've got a custom made one for a R33 GTS-t. It doesn't have a spot for a front mount intercooler however it might fit a R34 GTT I'm in north rocks, so if you want you can drop round and see if it'd fit your R34 GTT. Can email pics etc if required.
  18. Had a nice little cruise with a white R33 past North Rocks shops this arvo around 5:30. Plates BBS something. If your on SAU - nice car mate, were they stock rims? don't see too many R33's with em these days!
  19. = Telstra cable
  20. Think I spotted Slim this morning on my way out, it was just before 10am at the M2 bridge crossover before the dipper into bulko... nice bright orange wheels, they really stand out!
  21. I'll be doing this myself soon, shouldn't be too hard to get done. I'll however make sure to make use of my solid iron ramps & stands, thanks Beer Baron.
  22. Tiens are very nice. I mate of mine has them, and I'm actually going to buy a pair myself very soon. Downfall is they are a little expensive, but if you have the cash (and the kev rudd cash ) go for it. They also come in a wide range of adjustable features, so it something becomes a problem you can always adjust them to your needs.
  23. This looks interesting! I don't think I can make it though as I've got to do a few things to the car. I might come next time though
