I had an exam on my birthday for 4 of the 5 years i was at uni... and I spent another one 1200m underground waiting for the access cage to start working again! Happy birthday though.

Mine is going to be on a hoist at Boostworx tomorrow at some stage. Do I get more alcohol if he doesn't have to lift it?

Adelaide Stagea Cruise/get Together November 2010
Grungle replied to RubyRS4's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
We (that's me and the dog) missed this one, but I saw big Fella heading north on south road sunday morning. Keen for a lights cruise. -
I've got a similar stereo/TV setup in mine. I have contacted Pioneer directly, and they say there's nothing they can do about a conversion. I'll check what model it is when i get home.

Looks like this one:
-
sounds good, i'm in no hurry.
-
I'll take one. Mine is at 99,500km, so I'll probably have a good opportunity to change it when the turbo goes... Already have a custom cat-back.
-
Are you still going to be in perisher this weekend Andy? Looks like it's going to be a good one...
-
cool, if Trans max Z is a viable substitute i'll give that go. It's just on the low level - the light only comes on when i park it on a hill. Otherwise I guess I can just get genuine Nissan fluids from a Nissan service place? Thanks for the PMs - i'll be there tomorrow. Hopefully there will be a few M35s!
-
Can someone please PM me with the start location? Also, any chance someone could bring along a few millilitres of "Matic D" to top up my attesa reservoir? Damn 4wd light keeps coming on...

Spotted a dark blue M35 with gold wheels (Dunc?) on Cross Road today, and a silver Axis on Briens road yesterday.
-
I'll be there from the 28th of August to the 1st - if you see a silver ARX in a ditch on the way up please get some photos! This was what I had in Canada. NEVER got it stuck. We were driving this thing around in 60+cm of snow regularly - it was fantastic. It certainly surprised a few canadians with it's offroad ability. You're right though matty - fresh, deep snow is easy. We could drive that thing around in RWD all day without any problems after a big dump. It's only when it starts melting/freezing (or it's parked overnight) that you'll start to get problems.

Sorry, I posted this orignally, but it looks like SAU took a shit this morning and didn't save my original post: So I'm heading over to Perisher in a few weeks (from Adelaide). I know M35s (and espcially the ARXs with their LSDs) shouldn't need chains, but I don't want to be the guy that bins it because "it's AWD, I have INFINITE traction!!!!" and ends up walking his family back down the hill.... I lived in the rockies in Canada and the US for a couple of winters, so i'm down with snow driving - i just don't have as much faith in my 18" Federals as I did in the studded snow tyres I ran on my Delica over there. Plus the little bit of research I have done says if you stay overnight you must carry them on ANY vehicle. So I'm going to get chains. Does anyone know where you can get them? Do they generally have fixed sizes, or are they fully adjustable? Are there certain types that are better than others? I have stanard ARX springs, so clearance shouldnt be too much of an issue. Better still - does anyone have a set they don't want anymore?

Our New " Sports Waghoon" R36 Passat.
Grungle replied to msports180's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Fair enough. It's interesting going from jap to euro (I went Delica -> BMW -> Stagea). They put emphasis on different things...not necessarily better or worse...just different. It looks great. enjoy! -

So for my own curiosity - what made you choose this over an M35? Looks? -
Parked right in front of a silver m35 (Steve?) at ingle farm shopping centre yesterday. It was gone when I got back, so I guess you saw mine? I went out of my way to park there!

Wow. Living in Alberta, that thing could only go outside for maybe 5 months of the year. That front lip would make for a good snowplow though!

Spotted RS4V with a black skyline on the trailer in traffic this morning. Looked very cool wedged between the tradies utes and getz's that inevitably fill up south road at that time of the morning.
-
Spotted a silver S1 (?) leaving Mt Compass shops on Monday morning heading towards Adelaide. I was towing the red morris van on the trailer. Towing with the hilux instead of my stagea though...
-
Apologies in advance for this, but... I was looking into B5 S4 avants or B6 A4 avants about a year ago and ended up buying an M35 stagea. Bigger, cheaper, faster and easier to find a good one. I owned an E36 BMW a few years ago too, and servicing wasn't bad. Replaced the radiator, water pump etc and didn't cost too much. As with anything, just do your research and wait for a good one to come along. try www.ozaudi.com - that's where i found a couple i was interested in, but in the end the stagea was a much better option.

Spotted "Stage6" at Tea Tree Plaza last night (Silver M35 ARX). It was parked about 50 meters from mine - identical, except mine doesn't have a sunroof!
-
I got mine replaced at Sinergy in Adelaide about 3 months ago. I went away for a week and they diagnosed the problem and fixed it while i was gone. Not sure where they got them from. Cost was about $700 for all 6. I did wonder where my old ones went though, there were some that were still ok...

So i've been looking around for some roof racks for my M35 ARX, without much luck. had a search in the forum...no love either. Has anyone fitted roof racks to their M35? if so - where, how and how much? I have tried ARB and Roof Rack City (in adelaide) but neither are very willing to help out if it's not in their magic book of standard products. Only looking to carry a couple of surfboards/snowboards, so no massive loads or anything. Do roof racks from any other model fit the M35?
