  1. Woohoo, manual conversion. Way to go will be worth the wait. Should have thought tho' we could have done a dual entry on the day rather than you pulling out. Not that my "rb18det" scuse me using the acronym, would be much of a comparison but at least it's manual.
  2. All vibes appreciated Juliette. Interesting re parts, is that because of the age of them or that they are specialized bits? If you guys want a lift up for the day trip, I'm sure I can fit at least two more in the Lancer, otherwise good luck getting your mechanical problem sorted.
  3. Sorry to hear that Juliette. Hopefully the Lancer can fly the FWD flag for this round.
  4. I'm taking one of the Lancers on Sunday. First HH for me, should be great. I've heard so much about it. Is there anyone else heading out there thru' Dandenong on the morning?
  5. Cheers guys, looking FWD to the 20th for sure.
  6. More Hmm'ing from Clive Small here, I paid as well at the same time as faxing the entry. Let me know if you want a PM'ed copy of the receipt.
  7. How did I miss this!!!!!!!!!! I've put myself down for the CSA Haunted Hills instead, not seeing anything else attime. Should be good tho' I'll keep an eye out for round two.
  8. Just a thought "hood" synonym for "tax your ass" vis the +3km over the speed limit rule. wtf my speedo doesnt even resolve 3km easily, tho' that may be my closup vision While there are masses out there they will be taxed somehow. if it's not for hooning it will be for jaywalking, singing too loud, looking too sad/happy, wearing socks with sandals, (insert your own thoughts here), etc . shit on it I say, but dont worry be happy.
  9. I got a silver Lancer with SAU stickers on it and, yep I look like a dad. Also, I saw four Skylines cruising up Canterbury rd yesterday looking very cool. Not sure if they were SAU but cruising very nicely I must say. Made me feel a little bit sad, but decided not to join in on the back of the line in my wifes Astra
  10. Sorry re the crap description for the entry. It's my 2000 silver 1.8l turbo CE coupe I used at last years events. The evo is down and out and looking like staying that way. I prefer the coupe for the motorkhana's anyway.
  11. Yep, it's a BP and it does have Ultimate.
  12. +1 again, I'm sick of having the label hoon attached to, as quite rightly pointed out, we car enthusiasts. I'm up for standing outside Spring St and making a presence felt. There are too many examples of the system picking on people who basically are not doing the wrong thing. Being a skyline owner should be a joy not a sentence.
  13. +1, great post, Also, I'd rather be on the same road as a hoon than a drunken driver. Tho' I think the track is the place for hooning not public roads.
  14. Sooo, pissed off about missing this DECA. I'm doing a full pull out the motor, replace the clutch and play with boost stuff over xmas while it's too hot to do anything else. Really looking "FWD" to the 1st DECA next year.
  15. Ah, you're kidding, maybe the r34 is telling you it's time for a change. I'm thinking of fixing/selling the evo then getting a 34 for next year.
  16. Yep, walking is for recreation not commuting. I'm sure you can hold the flag for us Juliette. FWD=FTW I'll def be back first round.
  17. After another engine failure in the Evo at Winton Saturday I'm left with only one car, so I have to pull out damn it. Good for the reserves tho' Have a great day all, as always, and see you at the first DECA in 2010.
  18. God, how many times have I been stuck behind ALL 3 lanes of Canterbury road blocked by 3 trucks side by side doing 40kms/hr? Most days. Today, in fact,
  19. http://www.tracksidetyres.com.au/tyre_breakingIn.html +1 for this, I managed this for my re55's and now they stick like s**t. Use a practice day to get them up to temp, then "practice" the rest of the day on your roadies.
  20. There's generally lots of competition for that title, especially me this time. I'm coming with my daily, a CE Lancer with a few performance, but no handling mods. I will be faxing my entry today.
  21. Another great SAU DECA. Thanks to the organisers and volunteers once again. I'm glad to hear Juliette got home ok and hope the Pulsar doesn't take too much to fix. Beats me how you guys manage to organise such great weather too, looking out the window this morning but keep it up and I'm looking forward to the November round.
  22. Thanks Wayne, for organising the cruise, had a great day and it was good to see familiar faces and meet new people. Feel a bit like a pimple on a plate being the only non Nissan but hey what the, looking forward to the deca in the next few weeks.
  23. oops my bad, must have clicked submit twice. sorry
  24. Hey Paul, I did my best time in the last run as well, but still recall seeing your car disappearing into the distance down the straight. btw I recall doing two super sprints but can't see both in the results. Is s21 the combined runs or was only one timed?
