  1. website and Phone number - 0407 077 414
  2. +1 My tuner used him to remove some of my broken studs
  3. Not too sure yet, maybe a Cometic MLS 1.5mm, I need to use a slightly thicker headgasket as the pistons protrude the block by 0.19"
  4. I am only saying the rods are the same length
  5. RB25 and RB26 Rods are the same length, the difference is in the Pistons - gudeon pin is a slightly different height on the piston as the piston deck height is different.
  6. I called into Rhemac yesterday (Monday 2nd May) and spoke to the guys there about the progress of my machining. It is all pretty much done, just needs a slight clean, and the grub screws installed into the crank. Also got to see the block and parts, it looks good They also showed me around their machine shop a bit, got a nice set up there. Once I have paid for the work, which turned out a bit cheaper then I expected, they will deliver to my mates work, where I can pick it up, and begin to give it a final wash and begin assembly Hopefully more updates towards the end of next week.
  7. Nah, not me tonight, got work in a bit
  8. for all you haters of Epic Meal Time...I bring you Epic Meal Time - Kids Edition
  9. +1 Aren't GTR Rods and GTST Rods the same? Its just the pin/deck height of the piston that changes? Anyway, get some GTR rods (or use stock if they are the same) and replace the bolts with ARP2000 bolts. New ACL or good bearings of your choice, and CP pistons (could also use JE, wiseco, etc etc, but CP are good). If you want to replace rods then either Eagle or Spool are good for money, noting wrong with the brand names like Tomei, etc etc. If you search on Ebay America you can find CP and Eagle Rod combos for less then $900 I think, ARP2000 Mainstuds and head studs would be a nice addition also. But if you are only after that power range, you shouldn't need a built motor. Stock is generally good for around 260-300rwkw (350-400rwhp), just upgrade the ECU, Injectors, Fuel Pump and Turbo. Check out the RB25 Dyno thread and see what power levels people are getting and what mods they have, link.
  10. There isn't one. I am using Virtual Box with an old copy of Windows Xp, if you were to go down this path, you would need to acquire a copy of Windows XP from somewhere.
  11. Nope, Friday night
  12. I should be there on Friday, need to hopefully pick up some car parts
  13. Have you already booked to go to Time attack yet Krishy?
  14. Got word from Rhemac today about the progress on my block and parts. Machining is almost finished. The R.E.V Rods only had standard ARP bolts installed, but had ARP2000 bolts loose in the box. So they installed the ARP2000 bolts and checked the bigend's, due to the extra clamp loading there was some variation and distortion, so they had to be honed again. This may have been avoided if I had gone with Eagle rods, as they come manufactured with ARP2000 bolts. Piston oil squirter notches elongated, as the stock ones came rather close to the squirters. Block was faced at the minimum of .004" to clean up the deck. This now means my pistons will protrude out of the block by .019"-.020" with a 1.2mm (0.51") head gasket, so a thicker head gasket (1.5mm) is now on the cards. They are also going to install new oil gallery plugs also. Should hopefully be able to get the block back sometime in the next 1-2 weeks
  15. I am sorry Pete...but how was it Krishy vs Abe? It should be the "Krishy and Abe", as we were not versing each other.
  16. Don't forget Horsepower In A Box if your down south (Whom I use), and I also hear Classic Perfrormance Dyno Centre isn't too bad either.
  17. Got a phone call yesterday to say my Pistons had arrived, so I went and picked them up today, so here is some pics. Box of 6 R.E.V I-Beam Conrod's with ARP Bolts My box of CP As far as I know about the block at the moment it has been Line Honed, as the Machinist has been held up with other jobs, and they have been waiting for me to give them the rods and pistons as they can do everything else. They should have the rods and pistons in the next few days, and work can continue on its way.
  18. Lol, it is the link of my Avatar...meh, its getting old...I'll go change it.
  19. That is true, when I was told the results by someone else, that was the words that were used, so not knowing of what else to write, used the same. + 100
  20. I most certainly do, got 1 left out of the few I was given but Shane still has a few more left. $15 and it is yours, will have to organize a time to meet up.
  21. Thanks again for the lift there Robbie 1. Sebastian Lip (by default) 2. Someone in a Porsche Turbo S 3. Tristan Catford (clipped cone in final round +5sec penalty) from what I heard/understand. Our own Matty T came in 19th in the end, a very good job on his first hill climb, and especially after just getting the car back 1-2days before the event
  22. You better, and don't forget that entry either.
  23. I'll hold you to that now
