  5. I used Rhemac for my machining, they also do assembly also, however they are a bit pricey. Other then that I would suggest Lewis Engines, I shall be using them for my head work. Boostworx, and Willall also do assembly as far as I am aware.

  15. I recently had all m parts machined up, RB25 Block, RB26 Crank, CP RB26 86.5mm Pistons. The pistons were protruding from the block by 0.015" on a dummy fit, the machine shop then decked the block which took off 0.004", so now the pistons protrude by 0.019". I think I will be looking at a 1.5mm 87mm head gasket as they don't make 86.5mm.
  16. 11th May 2011 Rhemac delivered my block, and other parts back yesterday afternoon. So today I had a day off and decided to set my gear up at Horsepower In A Box and begin working on the block. Today consisted of cleaning the bores, applying oil to the bores and test fitting the rings. The 2nd rings all had a gap between 0.022 and 0.024", so they were fine. The 1st rings were about 0.012", so these will surely need a file fit which may be done this weekend. So here is a few pics of the shiny goodness The block after machining, you can see the 2nd rings in the bores, the girdle in the background with the crank next to it. Hmmmm, Shiny
