Stock manifold (untouched when I replaced the turbo) It's a split dump/front pipe, but not one of the shitty JJR ones, it's got a huge long split for the wastegate gasses. I also checked when I had it disconnected that the wastegate flapper doesn't catch on the interior of the dump (like on the JJR ones)... but that may have changed when I put it all back together..... I'm thinking maybe the gasket could be sitting shitty or something? The wastegate is completely shut at idle.

WTF I pressurised my intake system again... all my piping seems fine. It seems like there's an air leak somewhere around the rear of the motor, on the turbo side, kind of around the back corner of the rocker cover. One of the screws there was half a turn loose so tightened that but realllllllly doubt that was the problem. I already packed up the compressor etc so I didn't check again but I doubt it did anything. What other pipes run around the back of the motor that carry pressurised intake air??

*yawn* Dude, apply on seek until you can't anymore. Then, turn the computer off and go into some physical shops/warehouses/offices etc. You'll get rejected from 99/100 of them, but that 1 that doesn't send you away crying could be your new job. I love you martin -
I removed my AFM and replaced it with a full baked bean can (clamp it in tight) Then I pulled the cooler piping -> actuator vacuum hose and replaced it (on the piping nipple) with a bike tyre valve on a piece of hose and all clamped tight, then hooked that up the my compressor set @ 10psi. Worked a treat, cost me $7 hahaha. Oh, plus the baked beans. But now I'm gonna have them for lunch so it's win-win!
