  1. There 52cm or 2 1/16. The boost gauge is mech but the air/fuel is elec. Cheers.
  2. These gauges came with the car but I'm looking for gauges that are a bit more jap looking, would keep them otherwise as they work fine and look pretty good. Back light is red. Eoi at the moment as I'm not going to take them out of the car if there's no interest in them. Price: Around $150 for both including the pillar mount, just throw me some offers. Located in Vic but will post, shouldn't be more then $15 to post.
  3. Bump. Heres the carsales ad. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...ts2&trecs=3 Not open to swaps anymore as I have already bought a car. Cheers.
  4. Looking for a standard airbox for a r34 gtt. Cheers.
  5. Thanks heaps .
  6. Can someone please check 6U90000ER34026391 Thanks .
  7. The GTR would absolutely rape the wrx, wrx's arn't 'that' quick anyways.
  8. bump. Will accept 12k with rwc or feel free to throw me an offer without a rwc.
  9. Hi all, I need to get 2 new tyres but can't decide which to get, the a drives i can get for 175 fitted and balanced and the dunlops are 235 balanced and fitted. They don't have to have insane grip or anything, its only for my daily but they still have to be a good tyre. Any thoughts?
  10. I vote GTR . The Evo's are cool but nothing beats a GTR imo. I hate the interior on the Evo's, so boring.
  11. Totally agree, I work on euro trash everyday and when i work on my car or a friends jap car its a real pleasure .
  12. +1 BC sport. I used them in my aw11 and they were great. Apparently there made in the same factory as Greddy.
  13. I wouldn't touch any 32 GTR under 20k, all the half decent ones I've looked at over the past few months have been upwards of 25k and for that money I'd rather get a r34 GTT. You can buy a standard GTT for around 20k now from dealers(in vic anyways) or around the same price with a few mods privately. I've seen a few r34's for around 18k but they were not exactly clean examples. I still don't know why there is such a price gap between 33's and 34's, i mean a series 2 33 can be had for less then 15k easy, but a bog stock 34 you looking at 20k plus. Yes the 33's are more common but so what, they still look good and there isnt really that much difference mechanically. You could buy a 33 for say 12-13k then spend the extra money on mods and have a 250kw atw car for under 20k easy. I say 34 if your willing to save up or just buy a really nice 33, OR you could get a stagea .
  14. DT panels i can vouch for. A mate of mine had his car done there and the work was really good and it was cheap to. Don't go to cheap though as it will be a crap job and only look good for maybe 6 months to a yr if at all.
  15. I went to Apollo Bay last month, fantastic drive, to bad it was raining when i went. Atleast you had great weather . When i went there must have being a chaser/vip cruise or something. I spotted like 10 in a row plus a few random cars like a wrx and a r34 GTR tagging along. Man did the GTR look hot though, it was red with a carbon bonnet and i think it had gold wheels.
  16. Go red, offsets the white and black on the car really well i reckon. Good choice on wheels, they look hot in white.
  17. Check to see if your have a leak from your sump as it can run down and drip of from the front of the gearbox, basically try and find the highest point from where the oil is coming from. If not then it looks to be a rear main. Its not really a problem unless it leaks onto your clutch or if the seal lets go completly and dumps a crap load of oil everywhere and potentially stuff the motor.
  18. I love the sound of that exhaust, makes me like v8's a little more .
  19. OMG thats a clean example. Good luck with the sale .
  20. Bumpage. Just gave it a service and a clean today. If anyone has a manual r33 GTST and want to swap let me know. Cheers.
  21. It depends on what your after. If you want all out performance and handling then the GTR is a clear winner. But if you want a good looking daily that has decent power and is fun then a 34 is the go. A GTR will always be more expensive to repair and insure and its always going to be a thief magnet. Its a hard decision, I'm kinda going through the same thing now, do i get a r32 gtr, a cheaper r33 gtst, or a newer 34 gtt. If only i was rich i would have them all . I wouldn't buy a GTR unless it had a rebuilt motor though, I'd say 90% of original motors still running have done 200,000km's plus, and just the thought of having to spend mega $$$ on a rebuild is enough to turn me of one.
  22. Sounds like belt slap or something, like your timing belt is loose. I doubt its internal, piston slap is a completly different noise and bearing noise is normally fairly obvious. If it were a big end i dare say it would have gotten a lot worse by now. I'd check to see how old the timing belt is and either replace it or atleast retention the old belt with a new tensioner. If the waterpump looks ok (ie doesn't have play in the bearing) then when all the accessory belts are off maybe run the motor and see if it still does it.
  23. Hi all, I was going to go for a drive next week to JSA to have a look at what they have but after doing a quick search I've read nothing but bad things about them. I know your not meant to post bad things about companys on here but if anyone has had any bad experiences with them or any info on them please pm me. I'm going to check out SSV and GTA to but they don't have any r33's atmo . Cheers.
  24. I wouldn't spend 15k on your first car. Spend maybe 5k max and save the rest for your next car, just buy a cheap commo wagon or twin cam corolla, something cheap and realiable. But if you really wanna spend the 15k get a ae86 or maybe a type r integra, you'd be surprised at how big the boot on a ae86 is. Much fun can be had in a ae86 trust me.
