  2. Hi all, selling my Mines enhanced RB20 ecu, car made 147rwkw at 14psi with standard cooler, injectors etc etc. The ecu has no rev limiter, no speed limiter, no boost or fuel cuts. Is in perfect working order, I'm upgrading to a Wolf soon so no need for the Mines anymore. Location : Vermont, VIC Price $200 ono Contact via pm or post. Cheers.
  3. I'm after a rb20 viscous fan, mine shat itself today. Cheers.
  4. Ok I'll look into the GCG ones. Would 3 bolts be enough to hold them? A mate at work said to not buy ones with 3 holes like the HKS (GCG are the same I think) ones as they tend to slip. But if you lock tight them they shouldn't come loose.
  5. Thinking of getting some cam gears but don't know which brand to go for. You can get Tomei's for around $400 or you can get ebay specials from as low as $130 a pair. My experience with cheaper brands gears on my old 4age where not the greatest, they were Fidanza and the color faded after a few months. Is there any cheaper brands that are good? Or should I just cough up the dough and buy the real deal?
  6. I'm after a power fc for a rb20 motor. If anyone is selling one or knows someone who is selling please let me know via pm. Cheers.
  7. I would say the power fc would do a much better job. From my experience with my mines ecu the mixtures are uber rich, and that seems to be the way with all the 'tuned' ecu's from japan. I'm getting Nistune very soon, from what I've read and heard it seems very very good, better then power fc even. I personally wouldn't trust that Impul ecu if your gonna do mods purely because you dont know what the ecu is tuned for.
  8. HR31 1986 Nissan Skyline. Current engine is an R32 Silver top ECCS RB20DET with VG30 turbo. Engine currently has 90K on the clock The half cut came with a MINES computer which is currently installed (No boost cut, no rev limit, and no speed limiter @ 180km/h Turbosmart Mechanical Boost bleeder "T". Currently running 12psi Car has been dyno'd at 143rwKW with fairly rich AF ratio's due to jap MINES tuning at 12psi and 147.5 at 14psi. K&N pod filter with new R32 flow meter Uses the factory R31 "side mount" intercooler. R32 GTS-T gearbox Exedy HD sports clutch Autometer Boost Gauge mounted on steering column. GoFastBits plumb back blow off valve Recoed power steering rack New ball joints, and castor rod bushes 4 x Bilstein shocks (with the big shaft), fronts have just recently been serviced by Quadrant and are in excellent condition Viscous R200 LSD GTS-R BBS alloy Japanese wheels with Bridgestone GIII tyres Factory 4WS is currently operational. Air-conditioning has recently been serviced and re-gassed EBC green stuff pads on the front, Bendix Ultimates on the rear. Full 3" exhaust from the turbo back with CAT/resonator and stainless muffler. Sounds EXCELLENT 6 x new spark plugs fitted Water pump has been replaced, and the timing belt has been replaced with a GATES belt. Has a Panasonic head unit with Panasonic 6" speakers in the front, and 6" in the rear. Also has two amps and one 10" Kenwood sub in the boot in it's own box. I've always been meaning to remove this to get more boot space, but never got around to it due to building the 1600!!! I had big plans for this car but since I'm now saving for a house and have a wedding to pay for I don't think I'll have the time or money anymore and could really use the extra coin so I've decided to sell it. Price: Looking at offers around $8000, rwc depends on price. Reg till Aug 2011. It will come some spares inc. standard turbo, standard ecu, standard airbox and also log books from Japan. Please no low ball offers. Contact via pm.
  9. Yea I know, siff pay that much for second hand coilovers.
  10. I dont think fuel goes of that quickly, it would take a few months atleast. It might depend on weather to? I think in the summer it may go off quicker but still not in a time span you would have to worry about unless you wern't going to drive your car for like 6 months. Even then it should be fine. I have driven cars straight of the boat from japan and they drive fine and god knows how old the fuel is by time the car reaches Aus.
  11. Your better of just buying new ones, know one is gonna stitch it up its super dodgey, I feel sorry for the person who buys your car next, but you obviously dont care about that.
  12. Ok cool, I will inspect the vg30 when I take it off and just get it high flowed if its still ok. If not then yea I guess a rb25 turbo will be the go.
  13. After installing my vg30 last weekend I might have to put the standard turbo back on due to the vg30 being a little noisy after some dyno time, I was just thinking that maybe i could high flow the standard turbo but would it be worth it? Or should i just take the vg30 of and high flow that? I'm not after huge power either, around the 170-180 rwkw mark so i could prob get that from a standard rb25 turbo at around 12psi? The vg30 only made 147.5 at 12psi so yea I think its a little tired.
  14. I used to use this stuff all the time at my old work on the subaru's, it gets rid of and carbon build up around the valves and generally just cleans any gunk from the motor. Just don't inhale the exhaust fumes, insanely bad for you. Its also really good for rusted or seized bolts and stuff, i used some when i did my turbo and made all the nuts/bolts easy to get of.
  15. Theres no way a stock n/a supra would do that, I have driven a stock one before and there dead slow, my old ae86 with the 1.6 twincam was quicker lol.
  16. HR31 Mods: Turbo back 3 inch exhuast VG30 turbo Mines ecu Walbro intank fuel pump Boost tee running 12psi (spikes at 14psi) 147.5 rwkw Was running over the top rich due to the ecu map, getting as low as 9:1. Also still running the standard intercooler, so once my new cooler is installed and nistune installed I will hopefully get around 170rwkw. I'm also thinking of cam gears so possibility of 180rwkw plus hopefully.
  17. Theres nothing wrong with the walbros. It depends on what sort of power your after. I just installed mine last week and im after 160 to 190 rwkw, anything above 200 and the bosch would prob be better.
  18. The fun of a turbo car in the wet
  19. Thats happened to me before, i cant go full throttle in even in my not so powerfull hr31 in the wet without losing traction and getting sideways. Depending on how good your tyres are will determine how much control you'll lose/have. A mate at work stacked his r33 in a similar fashion, he was cruising on the freeway and floored it at around 80kmh and when he hit boost he lost control, spun out and went up the embankment, missed a tree by like 2 metres, no surprise when I asked him what tyres he had on he mentioned some ling lang chinese brand shitty tyres.
  20. Sold pending payment.
  21. It'll be your coil packs more then likely. I had a similar issue on my hr31 (rb20). I would check you plug gap first though, it makes a big difference if you have to big a plug gap. I bought some new plugs that were a 0.8mm gap and I also used high temp silocone around the coilpacks to seal any cracks and the problem went completely.
  22. Car is back on the market, sale fell through. Someone please buy this , you'd be hard pressed to find a decent stock example for around 19k yet alone one like this that atleast has some decent mods done and has been treated well by all its owners. I'm willing to accept 19k for it till reg expires next month, after that I'll porb end up keeping it so if anyone is considering mine now is the time to buy it. Cheers.
