Speaking on behalf of the committee, we want to see the club continue to provide an avenue for like minded social events and motorsport. 2014 has been a real challenge, our primary motorsport venue became unavailable to us, our partners for track (time attack/sprint) events made a decision to align to Porches Vic as a result attendance at the events was less then desirable. In light of these hurdles, club member attendance at circuit events was almost at a club all time high. We have to thank Squires Loft - Nunawading for providing excellent food during the track season, providing a great social avenue at the events. The club offered members a 3 track gokart challenge this year, from the feedback from members who attended the days were great value and good fun. We'd like to see more members getting involved in the gokart challenge for 2015! Going on a drive down the coast of through the hills doesn't seem to appeal to many members these days, we did however run a few events that offered a nice drive, followed by a social lunch. We need more feedback on what you want to see from that club in this respect moving forward. For 2015 we have many thoughts for events and activities. They include: Wilby short course track days Winton track days (in conjunction with another smaller club eg 86 Club Vic, MelbS15, EvoOz) Broadford track days (in conjunction with another smaller club eg 86 Club Vic, MelbS15, EvoOz), Matt at AASA is investigating insurance for 2015 We will be looking carefully at which track days to include for the 2015 championship GoKart challenge Show n Shine Social meet and grets

If you would like to be involved on the Committee, please nominate yourself. If you think someone else would be great in a Committee role - please nominate them. For a nomination to be valid it must be seconded by a current Club Member and the person must accept the nomination. Don't be scared - this is a great way to get more involved with your club. The Committee is currently structured as such: Executive Committee roles: President Vice President Secretary Treasurer General Committee roles: Social Events Motorsport Events Again, this is a great way to be a part of your club. All current financial members are eligible. All committee members have to stand down and be re-nominated and re-elected - so everyone has the ability to be involved. Please post any queries or nominations in this thread. Role Descriptions Executive Committee roles: President This is the clubs leader. The secretary should also track our various club affiliation agreements (insurance etc) and ensure all of the club information is up to date and correct. The secretary should also handle all memberships’ add/changes/deletes Treasurer The treasurer is responsible for the clubs trading funds and bankroll. It is their responsibility to ensure funds for events, purchases, stock, merchandise, deposits etc is handled correctly. All money transfers, transactions, purchases need to be logged and recorded for our regular balance checks and yearly reviews. I've used these on the track on this configuration. They are a good compromised between smooth daily driving and track work. -
In Vic, City. Happy to post. $800 8kg front spring 6kg progressive rear spring comes with original greddy c spanners Fantastic for daily driving, good on the track

It must be just at the right frequency to trip the camera out. Play with the aero a bit, more power maybe. Not sure yet. Still running a standard rear end, none of the arms are after-market. Might look at those.

lol, it's turned off. The arm on the camera mount is doing that (I think).

Wild lap, cool. -
It was great having the ability to adjust the rebound. Having only put them in for the event we are still learning how they react. Don't have a bad thing to say about them.

my boost bleeds down to 15-16 by 8k. im sure if youre pushing 20psi the valves will start to float. im on the stock springs. tao runs tomei springs in his 33. im shifting around 7800 most of the time. it runs the limiter at wakefield and winton a couple of times a lap. it blows a little into the catch can, 20ml maybe.

2014 World Time Attack Discussion

Team USA had wiring issues (i heard) and kept breaking ecu units. I had a pretty good weekend, didn't get the mid 40 I wanted. Thats ok, something to aim for next year. Good to put some faces to names. -
There is, the 'tabs' are the same size as the ksport. The rotor is tough as nails though! Was going to be bit of a risk getting them drilled. So I hunted around and hopefully when I get home tonight the 8mm rotors are there waiting for me! No baffling. Oil cooler plus long lines and 5L of oil. No restrictor, long lines run from the cam covers to the catch can, then to atmosphere. The can ends up with 20-30ml after a day on the track. Rev limit is set just over 8k, though the shift light is set at 7k. I only hold to 8k if it means less gear changes. I'm not sure what the total width is, 1610mm maybe? It fits flush with the body, so isn't extremely wide. I bought it second hand on the forums. I think it's a PSI parts knock of the BEE*R R#3 GTR wing.

Well how else are you going to fit in that tight seat you have lol It should actually be an ok day our there.

Post WTAC. I'll be eating bread and water for a few weeks.

Lol, come by for sure. We fitted BC ER's to the car yesterday. The attkd rotors I bought have 6mm holes, while the ksport hats have 8mm holes. I had thought it was the other way around. So we have a little issue. I'm hoping my tyres will be here on time...

http://www.circuitthreads.com/driver-john-richardsons-r33-skyline-gts-t/ Bought a set of BC ER's in custom rates. Hoping to get to Winton and test befofe WTAC.

2014 World Time Attack Discussion

Open class is for the oe looking body, pro class should be all out. In saying that, I don't agree with the ability for pro/am to be able to alter the suspension arm design. So many cutting in double a arm or versions of. That's getting too close to sports sedan for me. Yeh new arms are all good, but when you start chopping the chasiss and altering the points that the arm mounts to... -
The Championship has been sporadic this year due to the affiliated clubs running the Motorsport days. There has been much discussion in the background around which days we should do to maximise track time and ensure a good experience for SAU VIC members attending. There was discussion if we should include PI (the last one) in the championship a couple of weeks before the event. But the MS committee chose not to confuse people, so didn't include that in the calendar. However 90% of regular members turned out to that event, so it has been included. Due to the sporadic nature of the season it was suggested that we drop 2 rounds rather than the normal 1 round. As some of the rounds have had little notice compared to previous years. Calder was a catch up round suggested for the People who could not attended either the Sandown or the Winton rounds. However there appears to be little interest in attending the event. If that's the case then there is no reason for the majority to drop this as 1 of their 2 rounds.

That is what we discussed over pizza wasn't it? Edit: You weren't at that meeting.....that would be why.
