  1. http://www.racechrono.com/news/?p=92 Yeh qstarz au seems to be down atm.... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/QSTARZ-BT-Q818XT-Bluetooth-GPS-Receiver-Logger-LOG-10Hz-/130451888537?pt=AU_Electronics_GPS&hash=item1e5f89d999
  2. e63, cheaper version of the 71. Any S60 mobile (most nokia's from the last 3-4 years will work). http://www.racechrono.com/download/?lang=en It is only $200 atm. http://www.hioctanedirect.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=30_162&products_id=1833 You can get the Bluetooth receiver for the phone here. http://www.qstarz.com.au/index_files/Page889.htm
  3. Good point, Clive who are you going to email? Some of the clubs are hit and miss with emails...but eventually end up in the right place. Camera is a gopro hd, data comes from a nokia mobile and qstarz gps. But if you don't want the data on the day (you can see split time data, max speed etc etc through the phone) you can get a qstarz logger with no display now. I saw someone use one in the tarmac rally thread. Easy to use and cost nothing. Phone does not need a sim card. Cut the two videos together with whatever video program you like. Data is bang on natsoft.
  4. Yep come along and have a look. Security on the gate may ask who is holding the day, FFCC.
  5. auto
  6. Didn't say I was going to run them at WRX day's Though earning points in two classes would be nice.
  7. I have never had a problem and I don't have the flags license. L2S will be fine. The flag guff is there from when no-one was turning up to be a flaggy for their days I imagine. What they do know is either employee flaggies for the day or organise licensed flagies to assist and 'train' other AROCA club members to be flaggies.
  8. I'm no math nut, but aren't Div and Multi ranked the same? They are however used from left to right?
  9. Yeh well I've got some AO50's to drop on the car later in the year. I can tell you RSR are a good street spec tire and more consistent the KU36. But they are still a good 2-4 seconds slower than AO50/RE55. Depending on the track.
  10. Brilliant ride. I find that lethal weapon is the most 'unnerving' ride out of all the parks. Hanging buy your ass as you climb up to the first drop.
  11. 3 point turn here.
  12. Haven't tried semi's (r-comp) yet. 595RSR 235 Front 255 Rear A1RM pads 324mm front rotors 215rwkw swaybars + greddy type s camber bush 1.5 way KAAZ I've done a 1.24.x there in October (?) last year. The only difference from the above with that time was PMu HC+ pads. The setup now has cusco upper arm, 255 tires up front, 330mm ksport brakes and blue/yellow stuff pads. With an unknown diff (nismo/cusco 1.5). So i would expect at least another 24 with the current setup. The aim would be consistent 24's.
  13. Here is some action from last years FFCC at Sandown.
  14. would be nice. last time at sandown it was a 997 GT3
  15. http://www.alfaclubvic.org.au/content/view/195/79/ They run a pace car that exists the track with the next group behind it as the last car from the previous group crosses the finish line and does their cool down lap.
  16. ow nice. I'm going th AROCA on the 5th (helping at DECA only), here comes 7-8 session with the assistance of the pace car
  17. That is the maximum, doubt they will run groups with that many. Bit of a car park. Last time I did an FFCC day there were quite a few super 8's that were doing low 20's.
  18. Yep it's a standard sprint day. Grouped according to estimated lap time (0 time if you are new). I would suggest putting your lap time on the form under modifications, if you are new to sandown put that down. 5-7 12minute session
  19. There is going to be 4-5 of us at this stage I think. Should be a good little day.
  20. As mentioned last night at the meeting there is a Sandown track day being held by FFCC (Ford Four Car Club) in-between now and the next WRX event in July. Sandown is great as it is close to Melbourne and generally within 30mins of everyone. Yes the walls are close to the track, just keep that in mind when you press your right foot down. Date Sunday 8th May 2011 Price $170 Requirements CAMS L2S CAMS club membership with current sticker (SAU VIC Membership) Fire Extinguisher Two bonnet latching mechs (the standard double latch is ok, but for older cars with the single latch no good you need a second with a tie down strap) Blue battery triangle 150mm x 150mm x 150mm (get yourself some blue contact from the news agency and cut one up!) Entry Form http://www.ffcc.asn....0May%202011.pdf Fill the entry in and post it off or email it to [email protected] I printed it, filled the form out then took a picture with iphone and emailed it to them. I've signed up and will be there
  21. It was super wet on the way there...
