  1. Looks like it should be a decent day and hopefully a good weekend. I'll pop out and buy a 2 day pass I think, I really can't afford it but I've got nothing else planned for today so should be good I'm sure I will see you guys out there!
  2. Me too, I'm sure you'll be spotted in no time Matt
  3. please tell me you are kidding? do you want to drive a boat?
  4. You should have synchro mode and snow mode (both on the same switch). Synchro = 50 / 50 power distribution except for when you are idle Snow = is similiar but it reduces your rev's up to 40km/h or something so you don't bog down. Do a search, there is a lot of information on these two modes in the forums already. Congratulations on your purchase.
  5. Serious, seen every other colour imaginable but not the red! It may have been StageIan, whoever it was I think they drove up to Lynwood Public or in that general direction. I'm sure there are not heaps of reds one's about.
  6. Spotted a red C34 in Blacktown about 30 minutes ago, first time I have seen a red one in the flesh, very nice! We honked and went on our way.
  7. If they are for the V35 Skyline I highly doubt compatibility. That is not to say you can't get a kit that would work with the S2, just not this particular one.
  8. you towing the skyliner with the stag?
  9. When I picked my car up for the first time it didn't have a great deal of fuel in it. That didn't worry me but like others when I got to the servo I get out and as you do I lock the doors don't I lol So I'm pushing on the fuel door no go, so then I open the car and going looking for a pull lever or switch.... no go... I then get the manual out of the glovebox (just a small english job from the compliance mob, extremely unhelpful in most instances)... no go... I'm getting a little frustrated by this point and try to push on the fuel door with the car open, hey presto.. what a relieve Oh, and the doors need to be unlocked to lock the fuel door or it won't close.
  10. As per subject, anyone know who typically makes the OEM wheels? I know Ray's Engineering typically make the Nismo edition, but who makes the stockers? I thought it had something to do with the JWL stamped on the rims but I have now discovered that is an "approval" stamp for use put on in Japan
  11. No worries, just double checking. thank you for clarifying that.
  12. If you buy tickets from the gate on the day does a sau membership card yield any discount? Just checking, not sure if I can make it yet but might come out for a quick look.
  13. I just wanted to state that i was unaware that 2 of the shots above were of the car that crashed in qld. if i had been aware of this i wouldn't have uploaded them. Hopefully jpave is recovering, must have been quite an impact.
  14. I had a very similar plug that was to do with the nismo sound control exhaust (muffler), there was a switch next to the headlight tilt that I reconnected it to and presto. Had a similar looking loom to that. Not sure if that's the right answer, but that was what my one was.
  15. your just jealous you missed out!
  16. Spotted Andy & Iain at a trendy cafe near Eastwood today
  17. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/M3...-s-t320696.html might give you the answers you need.
  18. I'm having a few beers and getting a bit bored so I thought I best revive an old thread So i'm scouring google and come up with some different angled shots or new cars altogether to share!
  19. All M35's run rich, just nissan being over cautious (or doing a shit tune) or both lol My main aim first reflash around is to improve on efficiency, once the turbo, dump, possibly intercooler and exhaust are done it could be a different story. The option I'm opting for at the moment for the reflash will be a duel switchable system, i.e. a conserative tune for fuel efficiency and mild performance (the kind of setting you would put it on when it goes to a mechanic or your parents drive it etc.) and a optimised performance tune for when you don't care about how much fuel is evaporating lol. At this point in time they are unsure if a switchable system can be achieved, I'm hoping it will work out but only time will tell.
  20. or go a high-flow rebuild... one of these days I will get a gcg high-flow, at the moment my turbo (touch wood) seems to be fine, i'm close to the mystical 100,000km's though so anything can happen i spose. when it goes, it needs to be replaced, so i don't know if that would be a good or a bad thing.... wait for it, probably will happen now lol
  21. Dude, go back to page 1 of this thread and you will find a series of photo's I took inside the switch and cable area of my car. There is a "spare" brown plug grouped together with another brown plug (that is actually plugged in to something), it's got 4 or 5 female pins. The other spare cable i noticed is a two row job in white on the right hand side that goes nowhere, is it either of these? If so let's get some switches working and hook this feature up, especially coming in to winter. I plan to do a road trip to canberra in a month or so. Cheers
  22. Ahh that will explain why the cable inside the back of the car didn't appear to retract, only to gather up. Are you still 100% sure the issue isn't in the motor area of the unit, if it's not pushing the cable through the cable can't retract, i can't see how the cable can get stuck, see if you can push the cable from inside the back of the car. something still didn't look right at that end. It makes heaps of difference especially late at night and early in the morning. unlike you i was locked in silent mode for a year, i'm really enjoying the sports mode now
  23. From memory dude, the SAS ballpark figure was around $1200 - $1500 but that includes the ecu chipwork and a set of dyno runs to achieve desired outcome, any subsequent tunes that are required (due to further mod's etc) will be at a cheaper run but will obviously require dyno time etc. Big bonus is it won't void any insurance contracts etc as the mods are fairly much invisible, unless they open the ECU up and know what they are looking for. I'm glad you double-hecked on the Haltech, would have sucked to have gone to all the trouble and find out that they had picked the wrong hardware. Lucky you asked eh?! When it comes to the M35 it is best of not assuming that any workshop (unless they are familiar with the M35) know what they are talking about. Some make general assumptions only to find out that the set-up is very rare and not the same as V35's etc.
  24. ... while on the topic of engines. does anyone know out of interest, how much modding would be required to a nissan maxima vq25de to go into the stagea with the added turbo? just wondering if that is a cheaper option, obviously providing you don't have to replace or upgrade half the motors internals.
  25. you best get used to the sarcasm on this forum, most of us are quiet sarcastic it's all in good spirit though, so don't take it personally. you may have actually got better feedback if you had posted up a few shots from different angles of your actual engine bay instead of something else from the net. the guys might spot something none standard and be able to give you a better idea what has been modded on your ride.
