  1. Were you bored on this one Nick?
  2. yeah like: (a) powa steering (b) powa mirrors © powa windscreen wipers
  3. I have said it once, I'll say it again!! get fooked You and your silver stagea can just blend into the background with all the other boring cars!
  4. The ECU arrived from Prestige Motorsport today, looks fine. I've opened the casing and inspected the internals and had a good look at the pins on the plug outside and everything is 100%. Hopefully get a chance over the next 2 weeks to hook the new unit up to the m35 and ensure it's 100% operational in my vehicle. Then it's off to Silverwater Automotive Service (SAS) for the beginning of the Testing & Development of the tuned remap. This thread will be where I put all the information and stats etc from SAS. Here are some pics of the new ECU, they are pretty crap but they'll have to do for now!
  5. Another one bites the dust And another one gone, and another one gone Another one bites the dust
  6. If memory serves me right (which it doesn't often do in my old age!) Jet had his high-flow performed at Precision Turbochargers @ Wetherill Park. Whether or not that is the mob he got to quote originally I'm not sure, but I think it's the mob he's had a lot of work done with. From memory though the final job he had done was more then $1200, then he had to upgrade oil and water lines etc due to the larger Garrett BB core. Perhaps the $1200 was based on a bush bearing high-flow, which is really a step backwards as the M35 standard garrett has a ball bearing core. I've posted a price up in another thread for the GCG Garrett Highflow which maintains the standard ball bearing core, they just add GCG ball bearings and the rest of the new internals are Garrett, this one comes to $2k tho. This one is my preferred option as it leaves the turbo at it's original measurements, where was Jet's is a few mm shorter now.s
  7. GAS ETA, i like it! But atleast I've posted up some stats, will be interesting to see my stats after the remap in it's current configuration. It should be putting out more power and using less fuel, can't go wrong!! Once we know the remapping works and is beneficial it will be time to get a turbo to GCG for a high-flow rebuild and supply the new turbo with the dump pipe to Envy Imports for change over. I'm excited, I've also asked Envy Imports for a quotation to supply and fit a FMIC with 3" plumbing. The ECU should arrive from Brisbane about Tuesday, I should have paid the extra and had it sent from Japan early last week lol
  8. I thought I would revive an old thread I done my regular commute from Blacktown to Tuggerah today and reset all the major efficiency and timing devices on the screen. Here are the stats for my trip:
  9. Danny, Have you been able to confirm that your damaged turbo hasn't done any internal damage to the casing? I'll probably end up using your one for a GCG Highflow in the next month or two. It's good having this turbo exchange happening. Let me know the status of the inside of the casing etc.
  10. Leave it the way it is, move house to somewhere with a flatter driveway Looks awesome! Huge improvement height wise.
  11. Hahaha a laff a minute in this 'ere thread So can we assume she has a hot arse? Ok... I'm not touching this one either! Hahhahaha not even to thaw them out on a super duper cold morning?
  12. Driving to work is a bonus, it is costing me an arm and a leg but I love it lol I notice the bike cops have been doing good trade the last 2 days, must be some form of blitz thing happening. Luckily I havn't got any flyby's yet lol they nearly got me near Ourimbah on the F3 today but I had eased up before I got to them, buggers. Also lucky they were not out there on Monday when I done a 1 hour trip from Blacktown to Tuggerah in the fog whilst toying with a black Subaru Liberty Outback all the way on the F3, we were averaging 140km all the way. I was a bit hypo when I got to work hahah
  13. Welcome to the lowered suspension / factory aero kit combo Be prepared to scrap often ... why not.... i do
  14. OOoooohhh.. your current profession..... sex worker... not paying the bills eh? What new job are you going for? What's the goss, I miss out on it all because I'm too busy working the streets now-a-days
  15. Welcome fellow povo pack owner
  16. .... ahem... I bet you were waiting for one of us to spot this pearler!!!
  17. Iain, even if you had have won the Nismo ECU and then found out you needed it remapped you'd be looking at $500 + around $1400.. Wait until I've done the initial testing and development and then put yours on the dyno at SAS You can borrow the spare ECU if you need it for your tune.
  18. *cue's the excitement* can't wait!
  19. You'd think because Nissan mapped them to begin with they *should* be remappable I sent SAS the link to your pics the other day, so he can have a squiz at the internals pic. I'll see how things go when the spare ECU arrives from Brisbane, the ECU's *must* be remappable especially when you have products like the Nismo ECU on the scene, that's probably just a remapped stock M35 ECU.
  20. I'm hoping to have the ECU in a week or two so I can start arranging everything with SAS. I'll give the ECU a test run before I take it in just incase anything isn't quiet right. Is there any way (like via the display screen) to check the revision date etc. of the firmware on the ecu? I'll looking forward to this remap, should be awesome! Hopefully I can squeeze a bit more out of it than you EManage Ultimate boys
  21. Just let it dangle eh? Won't do any damage if I floor it with the new ECU swinging on the wire? I'm still waiting to confirm with SAS but at this point in time I have paid for the ECU, they were going to reimburse me BUT I've asked if they need the ECU past the initial trial and development stage i.e. my tune. If they don't, like Andy has with the turbo, I will hold the ECU in my possession incase anyone needs one urgently to replace there's, the original cost plus a little extra will be required but I can tell you all that these ECU's are not easy to find!!!!! Even Iain will confirm that we have only sighted one on Yahoo Japan Auction (IM) since we have been looking and I've tried all around australian wrecker's with M35's and those that did have a VQ25DET and ECU would not seperate them. Anyway, I'll post a message announcing that I will have an ECU on hand incase one of you EManage Ultimate guys fry your ecu
  22. It's a December 2001, I would like to know it works before I start making arrangements for the remap with SAS. I may even try it in mine, is it easy to remove the glovebox to get to the ECU? I've asked Ken if he can get any indication of what the D# is before he departs Japan.
  23. Looks like I'm in luck with the ECU, there is only one thing I'm not sure about! The markings on the ECU read A56 R12 JA Nissan A56-R12 L18 1Z07 UNISIA JECS CORPORATION JAPAN Which should be fine assuming the L18 1Z07 is the serial number, i.e. Iain's is L18 1Y03. The part I'm not sure about is that Iain's is stamped with a little circle and a D7, the one coming back from Japan with my name on it has D8. Could this be a firmware thing? Can anyone get any gossip, maybe it's just the quality control person's number or something? I've included some piccies, I want to start getting excited that it's right but I'm not 100% sure!
  24. hahahah as per previous post the f*ckwits have a VQ25DD M35 Not much use in Australia unfortunately as they are not imported
  25. I'm up for pinkslip this weekend and I just know they are going to tell me to replace all my windscreen wipers! Does anyone know what width the front and back one's are? I'll pick up and fit some Saturday morning
