  1. i still have std cam gears. i had it so both in & ex would open at the same time. next time i will read a workshop manual, instead of just jumping into it.
  2. found out what it was when i removed the cam cover's....... i had the inlet 180 degrees out i had taken the inlet cam vct stuff apart and not re-aligned it properly. all fixed now
  3. i wish it was a 26, solid lifters FTW. i haven't checked them yet, it will be the 1st thing i do when i get the car home.
  4. i did the cams myself when the motor was out. i made sure i didn't move anything after i set no.1 @ TDC. mechanic only just took the timing cover off to check the timing. when i get the car back home i will pull the cam covers off & see whats happened. i don't think its a broken cam as everything rotates smoothly. hope it hasn't bent valve(s). i have a reco'd head & headgasket if it has though. if anyone has any other ideas what it might be post it up. cheers rob
  5. i have put a set of poncams in my rb25 and sent the car away to get it wired up. when my mechanic went to turn it over it just kept winding over. after a quick compression check No.1 cyclinder has no compression. we have checked the timing, its all good. what would cause this? its a s2 rb25det with tomei "series 2" cams (late r33 with r34 CAS). my mechanic thinks i have the wrong cams but i checked them and they are the right cams. any help would be appreciated.
  6. Hi all, got some parts that are not needed any more. First up i have a custom Y pipe made up to suit a GT3582R on an R33 GTR This will come with two mushroom style filters and rb26 afm's. This pipe was made as a replica of a GREDDY pipe and looks the business.   13. thanks for the info. aleks- how thick is the spal 14inch fan. the current one i have is like 80mm. if its under 65mm it will fit. i would cut the rad support but i just spent alot of $$ smoothing the engine bay. aircon is a must in nthqld
  14. i have 2 setups that i have and was wondering what peoples opinions were on the 2 1- r32 gtr radiator reco'd with 2x spal 10inch thermo's, pull through setup or 2- cooling pro 40mm alloy rad with 14inch "generic" thermo fan, push setup on front of air con condenser car is my daily that i sometimes take to the drags and do a few hill runs with. which setup should i use? or do i invest in a slimer spal 14inch thermo fan & mount it in pull setup with 40mm rad? cheers rob

  18. i just finished installing a set of poncams in my rb25, went to put the CAS on and i noticed that the lug on the cam & CAS are totally different. the cam has a slot in it & the CAS has a "star" pattern. how can i fix this? do i get a different CAS or do i need different cam? the cam part no. is for a s2. i presumed that my motor was a s2 as it had no ignitor module. motor is in an s13. any help would be great cheers rob

  23. around 230kw, thats where mine maxed out. s15 injectors are the way to go, have a look on nissansilvia.com there are normally a few sets floating around on there.
