rb25 in s chasis is fun. the low down torque is great even with a standard motor.
i haven't got any problems with how my car handles.
i got 230kw from my standard injectors & had no problems.
the only problem i had for a while is that the water temp would go to 90-95 on a hot day up here. i put in a nismo thermostat and that fixed the problem.
if u want i have a rb20 box & g/box x-member & tailshaft left over from when i upgraded. the rb20 box was good and i had 230kw & a shagged clutch
i also have a 32 gtr radiator thats been reco'd if your interested.
if i had the time and there was a dedicated track up here. i would put a rb in my other 180 as well, since i pretty much have everything needed
hey everyone,
i am looking to organise a combined cruise of SAU & NS members.
will be early January sometime. meet up around riverway & up to paluma for lunch then out to frosty mango then out to pallaranda.
let me know if anyone is interested
cheers
Rob
the gtr is going again.
i went and finished the wiring and fuel pump setup on monday night. its a bit neater than how it was oringinally done
started first turn of the key, it now runs alot smoother with the Vipec compared to the power FC.
sorry for hijacking your thread marty
drags satday night..... i can wire in my wideband for a quick road tune
will definately turn some heads on thursday
i put this on the other week and it worked fine for 2 weeks and has stopped working. has anyone else had this issue?
i had it wired up as an earth switch, is this the way its meant to be done?
want 33- go 25, you already have everything to bolt onto it.
most ppl go the 26 for the wank factor and remember there 2 turbo's = twice the problem
the only thing the 26 is good for is the solid lifters and thats only if you are going to run big cams
i have a 25 setup in my sil80 and i wouldn't swap it for a 26.
i know where your coming from but how deep are your pockets and all for "you have a gtr motor in there? get farked!"
you can always put 26 covers on your 20
goodfella's- use r33 x-member with 2 tabs welded onto it that will line up with factory bolt holes
this thing is looking better its back together.
the fuel pump wiring & ecu setup is about to be finished this arvo, should have it running by tonight
i will get Luke over sometime this week to get some hi res pics
there will be a cruise on thursday night, meet up @ toyworld on woolcock st @7pm, cruise starts @ 8pm.
this is turning into a regular event, will post up any changes.
yeah definately stay away from workshops up here, there are plenty of people with skills that do some awesome work in their shed.
come along tonight and meet some of them
"and you need to swap the two triger wires around in the plug.. ie green/yellow green/red i think. the black ones earth the black/white is power"
found this after a heap of searching.
both CAS's aren't working.
thought it also might make it a bit easier if i had a similiar tune so i didn't have to do much when it does eventually start. i'll have a bit more of a look tomorrow.
thanks for the info aleks
