  1. Look at these two blokes bonding over their overheated RB's...
  2. Well gotta narrow down if all these cars getting stolen have an alarm or not, at the very least people stumble across topics like this and think "Damn, I really need to install some security devices in my car" instead of just assuming she'll be right.
  3. We'll be doing back to back runs, similar to the most recent motorkhana, which seems to move through the list of cars pretty quickly. This means more runs per car for the entire day. Definitely won't be having a full line of cars queued at once, we'll most likely be calling groups of 10 at a time. HH is a good spectator track, so sitting in a queued car all day isn't the best outcome for anyone.
  4. Sucks to hear... Did it have an Alarm / Immobiliser? You actually left a Skyline at a train station car park overnight?
  5. and the time(s) it has previously been hit in the rear and poorly repaired... Thankfully, this rear ender got repaired it properly so everything is now schmicko again. No more boot rust, reo rust, wonky bumper, etc.
  6. An Evo is not a Commodore, you cannot trade it for fishtank supplies.
  7. Swap for evo? Cash my way, I've got a nice shiny rear end that looks quite nice.
  8. As long as you car doesn't end up on this list, like most drift cars I've seen, you'll be right. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_grenade_launchers
  9. Not that accurate... I got tuned at 230kw (Safe tune due to an issue with the wastegate), then goes to RTR and makes 203kw on its first run 2 weeks later (same boost curve, cooler day) At the end of the day, I learnt to ignore the numbers. If its making 300kw and doesn't have anything in the midrange, you'd be better off with 260kw of usable power.
  10. Birds, GTR's are a 2.6 Litre Twin Turbo.... They come with 5 stud hubs and big brakes. I recommend the manual conversion and the BM Shifter Kit. You won't look back.
  11. Lots of them cover stolen tools / equipment in the pits as well... That said, I've been to many a track day and never heard of someone stealing anything from trackside. Everyone there is there for the same reason, stealing isn't one of them. Maybe its a bit different at a VN Commodore Club skid day though...
  12. Clearly you haven't read any of the OP posts in the modifications area, or been anywhere near the facebook group.
  13. Seems that everything is going to crap in IT today. Our rock solid EFM internet is down for the first time ever... Of course it went down while I was making some configuration changes on the core router, altering a QoS policy... and then internet goes down for everyone. I freak out, revert my unrelated command (hell it wasn't even on that interface) and it doesn't come back up. Few connectivity checks, check out the Service Status page for the service in question... down for most of Melbourne... Thank god for SLA's and backup internet connections. 5 minutes of downtime for the site. Primary connection is still down 3.5 hours later, getting updates every 15 minutes from the provider...
  14. Rotorua Canopy Tours, its a bit of a nature walk and a whole lot of ziplining with some very cute guides. Waitomo Glowworm Caves, Abseiling etc http://www.waitomo.com/black-water-rafting/Pages/black-abyss.aspx Quad Biking Tour near Wellington http://www.wellingtonadventures.co.nz/ We did the half day tour, spent the whole time wishing we did the full day tour. Also if you're going with a bunch of mates, we did a White Water rafting thing somewhere near Lake Taupo which was a lot of fun.
  15. Mohsen would probably be the best to give you this guidance... First he'll need some background information though, are you a pitcher or a catcher?
  16. The problem is, offering a reasonable premium often goes hand in hand with being stingy during the claim/repairs/payout process
  17. FYP Actually a word... learn something new every day. Also, quit my job today... Yay.
  18. On Saturday morning a 4wd behind me at a set of lights smashed his foot on the accelerator as soon as the lights went green, without realising that the first car (and thus me as the second car) hadn't started moving forwards yet. Didn't seem like a hard hit, but once I got home and opened the boot, everything was way off from where it should be. Grrrrr.
  19. Because I didn't trust the other guy at all, kept trying to avoid insurance... and I had to push to get the name of his insurance company... which turned out to be a broker. I don't have the time or knowledge to do it all myself. So letting Shannons deal with it, then charge everything to the broker of the other guy.
  20. That... is not right... not with Shannons, since it's not stolen I don't get a hire car. Booo. Do get a coupon code for reduced rates with Hertz, but thats about it
  21. Happy Tuesday everyone... What a nice day out there
  22. It's going to be a great bang for buck day for sure! Grand Final day means reduced hire rates which we can pass on to you guys. There will be a dedicated group for the Sandown Rookies.
