  1. Depends where you live though, if its a main road then scabs will take it for sure... I'm in a street that just loops onto itself in a decent suburb, so the only people that drive past aren't interested in nature strip waste The number of dandenong scabs that cruise through the street in utes and vans when we have rubbish collections is scary
  2. Put it on the curb in the hood... It'll get snatched up fast
  3. A 1 kg fire extinguisher is not going to stop your car from burning. It is going to help to stop flames from burning you if you are trapped, giving other people more time to get to you and get you out of the car. General rule I like to use is, if in an accident and your seatbelt locks (or you're stuck in a harness). Can you reach and retrieve the fire extinguisher from where it is mounted. I've got short arms and can't reach it if it was under the front lip of my passenger seat, so I've mounted mine on the passenger side of the tunnel, behind the passenger seat, where I can reach with one hand even if my hips are pinned in seat. That Ferarri was caused by the driver losing it sideways over the dirt and rolling it on its side, then a small car fire (as Ferarri's do) / hot exhaust fire started which sparked a big dry grass fire and the rest is history. Though, most likely whatever event that was at didn't require extinguishers, hell... probably didn't even need helmets.
  4. Oh lol, just looked it up... the Triathlon is on Sunday and starts early. Sunday 13 November 2016 Transition Access (no bike check-in): 5:10am – 5:45am Pre-race briefing: 5:50am at swim start Start Time: 6:00am I feel so sorry for those people staying at our motel
  5. It's all in the facebook event description. https://www.facebook.com/events/697794630372309/ There's a bit triathlon on in Shep that weekend, so lots of places are booked out. Go Go Go!
  6. With a car of your power, DECA is perfect to show it off. You staying? There's a single room left at our hotel if you're quick!
  7. I don't consider SAU and CAMS Memberships to be an expense, as having them both gets me a larger discount on my car insurance than if I didn't have them
  8. Doesn't have a pull string to Disconnect the door from the chain so you can manually lift the door? Most do...
  9. Only reason I can see is that you won't be stuck standing in the isle for 15 minutes waiting, trying to make your way down towards your seat and stow baggage. Get on last, and good luck finding space for your 5 pairs of loafers in the overhead... You'll have to put them 5 seats down, and you just know that bogan bloke is going to scuff your sh%t up when he removes his boogie board bag.
  10. Was probably running a bit late, so they oversold his seat
  11. I got to Melbourne Airport and arrived at the Check In desk 15 minutes before Check In closed for a flight to Brisbane, they told me that I may not have a seat on that flight and started calling over managers and stuff to get it sorted out. This was for a Full Fee Business Class flight (~$800) because I had to use up a bunch of flight cancellation credit that month. Blew my mind that they'd overbook Business Class seats. FYI, Business Class on a Domestic flight is a bloody joke
  12. I accept the nomination for the Vice President role for 2017
  13. Need to upgrade to the new DOCSIS standard that allow for higher upload speeds... Looking at modem stats and seeing 6 unused upload channels and only getting 2mbps sucks.
  14. Congestion just means they don't have enough backhaul to provide the service... Modem means there's a fault and they can't provide the promised service. Either way, you're not getting what you paid for, but it's Telstra... They used to have the monopoly on comms infrastructure... but with NBN ramping up thats going to change soon. So good luck getting them to spend money to maintain their soon to be unprofitable network.
  15. Steam displays speeds in MBps... 2.9Mbps x 8 = 23.2Mbps = edging closer towards your 35'ish maximum. Try http://speedof.me/ and see what result that spits out... I find its a bit more accurate, and doesn't require flash either. Also when testing, make sure nothing else on your network is download anything... and don't be on wireless if you want an accurate result.
  16. This image is showing 13Mbps, not 13MBps... 8 Megabit = 1 MegaByte The plan you are on is a 30Mbps plan and you're achieving 13Mbps. Either there is a problem with your connection or there's congestion in your area at the time of testing... Try again later and see if it hits the full speed. This is what a 30Mbps plan should look like: 100Mbps plan should cap out at about 115... Either way you're not likely to see the difference in the two speeds unless you download a lot of big files (not talking about torrents), or need additional upload speed (the 100Mbps plan caps out at ~2.4Mbps up instead of ~1.2)
  17. Yep, already booked, Do it fgt... and bring some burner tyres this time so you don't have to drive home on ribbons
  18. Considering that for all of the morning my car (currently on about 265rwkw (super smooth and responsive, with a few degrees of timing pulled out across the whole rev range for track safety)) was losing traction at 140+ in coming onto boost in 4th... The issue was the track surface being covered in h2o... In the afternoon though, if you were losing traction on the straight, then you you need to do something about your car.... Because grip in the arvo was quite nice... Perhaps ease into the power until it's being put down properly (converted into forward motion)
  19. I've got 2 sets... 17x9 w/ 255 all round on the evo 17x8 w/ 235 crapped out skid tyres in the garage. If the answer to your question is "Mohsen", then lets talk.
  20. Yeah we parted on reasonably amicable terms... Somehow they weren't able to hire a replacement in my 4 week notice period, so who knows if they're miffed that there was no knowledge transfer period... A few things that were said made me get the feeling he thought that I was betraying them by leaving (being a long term employee leaving a 'family' company). But as Kermit says... "That's none of my business..." Edit: Good thing I generalised the final figure and actual timespan of incorrect accruals, hey?
  21. Going to casually mention it to them if I do happen get called in over the next few weeks to help fixing their phone system which is currently broken... If I bring it up myself, I doubt I'll get called in if they think I'm just money grabbing
