  1. East (Glen Waverley area). Not too fussed, but obviously a 'while you wait' and/or 'do it while at work' scenario is ideal if I got super picky
  2. So, who's the go for tinting nowdays? My car has only got the back windows tinted. Was curious about getting the fronts to match it. Dunno if even possible as everyone seems to do entire car and/or remove all tint and start again. Is there matching issues if you only tint two, etc, or some boss tinter do it without any drama and fuss Doesn't need to be super daaarrrk vip stylesssss but would be nicer if it matched (IMO)
  3. Having lived in 'Murica, they sure do have cheap cars. Also, seeing things like the challenger make me say 'MURRICCAAAAA but not jokingly. They kind of build the things that HSV/FPV should have been building for many, many years.
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if they are rebranded GM sensors - Their external MAP sensors (4-5 bar) which I have are "GM" ones or "Haltech" ones depending on who you ask. I have the haltech one, and happily paid the extra to make sure it worked. I wanted to peel the sticker off to look more 'factory' but never did it. Maybe I'll do it and see if the PN under the sticker is there/the same.
  5. I also hate the whiny bitching. But, if you read it, its pretty well thought out, and also it isn't that whiny. But ultimately, what's a forum admin going to do? This guy clearly has enough wits about him to re-register after being banned. What would it accomplish anyway? Clearly mr copthis has done a fair amount of detective work, and the admins of SAU can't do anything more than he has.
  6. I also know nothing about plumbing, so I can't say whether age and deafness are going to cause a serious concern to being able to get the job done. I wouldn't have thought so, but I have no idea on what plumbers must go though on a daily basis.
  7. People are f**king with you for lols dude. Do not modify a N/A skyline. Nothing you do will do much. Having driven a stock turbo one recently, my mind exploded with how non amazing it is. A non turbo would ostensibly be worse. If it takes 20K in mods to get to the point of a standard turbo car I am joining the bandwagon with "don't mod it unless those mods WILL go onto the turbo car you buy later on"
  8. +1 to you seem to be angry and resentful and bitter in this complainy post. Then you seem to say "People don't like me" as though it's "People's" fault. Rarely I have found in the real world for this to be the case. Especially in the working world. Attitude matters. People can see it. If you came to me with an attitude similar to these posts (I'm not saying you're like this all the time, I've never met you, I don't know you, I wouldn't hold it against you if I meet you at Scotty's backyard one day), but if you came to me with an attitude like this I'd feel the same way. I visualized, and I may be wrong someone who is almost forced to attend an interview, to obtain experience, to blablabla, in short, someone who is forced to do something they don't want to. People see this shit instantly man. Its the first thing you notice in a millionth of a second. Attitude and a willingness to learn is the most important personality trait I have ever seen in any field, professional, personal, or otherwise. Edit: Stuck cause you can't get what you want? What do you want? Why can't you get it? Solve the problems logically, obtain what you want. Most of the time, it breaks down that way.
  9. Attitude with my car is no problem, I reckon I'm more determined and enthusiastic about an unsatisfying bucket of s*** than most lol. And it puts your kids through school! (also I need a cheque to clear to pick up my new victim of molestation) I can't give any solid advice to Mr Grant cause I don't know his exact situation. But in all honesty you have to find something you find interesting and do it based on that alone. Money has to be a secondary aspect of what you want to spend a large majority of your life (8hrs a day+) doing. I would say its far 'better' to do what you want in work, and cater your 'off work' lifestyle to suit the amount of money that brings in. If you want to surf all day then yeah man you're not going to be driving Bentleys unless you're REALLY good at surfing.
  10. Success in life, in any job, in any relationship, in anything at all you can think of, is 90% attitude.
  11. Um, I think you haven't talked to many IT people who are doing support, if you're reckoning they will prefer Mac over Win based machines for clients. It's still the exclusive choice of hipstery web designer guys who think their right to do what they do best ("creative things") is throttled by the tyrany of using a Windows machine. These are the same guys who ride skateboards in the office because it helps them get put into a 'creative space'. Now, if you have a small business with ~50 people total, and everyone uses a mac - Sure, you can get away with it which is what I imagine Odium is talking about, if everyone knows how to use a mac. If you have 7000 clients, with 200 mac users, you're gonna have irritating times ahead when the people who are expecting everything to "just work" find out it just doesn't quite work that way.
  12. I have gone from the standard shift kit to pretty much everything you can do to a R34, and the difference is beyond night and day. Absolutely absurd. I drove a stock one and almost laughed myself off the road. You have two options 1) Stick with and upgrade the auto (no one really does this long term other than stupid me) 2) Go manual I entirely understand why people driving stock Skylines pretty much go LOLZ AUTO LOLOLOLOLOLOOLO.
  13. I have the SK ones and man, I don't think I'd do anything else. I went for the bees knees, and spent 4k+ and immediately after putting them on, realised they're the best upgrade for the car you can get. Way better than any engine mod for driving pleasure
  14. I've made just over 400RWKW with a GTX3076R on E85, off the stock manifold with a WG welded to the turbine housing. I actually made 377kw, but it was through an auto which had 8% slip. Some crazy mofos have made up to 455rwkw on one, but uh, at 45PSI. I don't think that is really going to work too well in a stock engine setup, especially if you don't have a GTX and have a GT3076 instead. Also +1 for getting injectors well, well, well above 555's. You never know when you will need them and the cost difference is almost zero.
  15. Working in IT, being around IT people, I am yet to see 1 IT person go from Mac to Android and then go back to Mac, ever.
  16. In comparison, my R34 GTT was insured for Just cars for 21K, $1000 excess, their choice of repairer, and I had to provide documentation of every mod (which I didnt mind doing). Premium: $1725 For shannons, same car, got 27k agreed value, my choice of repairer, $500 excess, and it cost $1100 for the year's coverage, and didn't need to see it, but I had that option to increase my agreed value. Not even remotely close, lol. Which is great for obvious reasons. I for one hope scotty's evo is really boring so he can do something really exciting like swap my entire car over while I'm at work. Thats waaaay more fun than a stroked evo, yep.
  17. In my experience, with a HG turbo I've gone from bad results, to better results every time I went back to the dyno - My car was dynode a good 4-5 times at Chequered after some random bit was fixed, or part altered, or setup changed, etc. Every time I made changes they reflect. I would NOT be surprised if people are rocking up with HG turbos because THEY ARE CHEAP and not really paying much attention to the rest of the setup, and get a sub-optimal result. People gotta remember Stao's turbos were designed on Stao's engine with Stao's setup where he has a vested interest in making it as efficient as possible. Remember what happened when he put one of his RB SS turbos onto his SR? Even he was surprised certain things didn't apply and the result was pretty bad. I wouldn't be surprised if these turbos are going on different cars of questionable setup and having varying results. son of rajab knows I got 3-4 different results on the same turbo every time I went back changing things.
  18. Ok. So. I am going to take my car to a non chequered dyno, just to answer this one. Once it's on the road again. Stay tuned between now and some time in the next 17 years.
  19. Sorry mate, I don't have the original parts, original cams, pistons, crank etc, was living in an apartment with no garage when the engine got built, so I didn't keep those for storage reasons.
  20. Drive it down a winding, fast dirt road in the middle of winter, and never clean it. Look at it, go LOL its ugly as fark then just drive it hard, daily and on the track, giving little f**ks about what you cannot see when actually behind the wheel
  21. Apparently 45psi, someone has done it on a SR20. That said, was in a magazine. I was sceptical, but given I got 405 on 28ish psi, I see no reason that 15 extra psi wouldn't result in 50kw...
  22. Buy my entire setup.
  23. I'd like to regret selling my wreck............
