The aft well deck on the B is enclosed to make a stateroom. nice big one too and so the rear deck sits on top of that for drunken sunning and napping. This site shows the B http://www.bruceroberts.com.au/power/wr38.htm And this one as well http://www.bruceroberts.com/public/HTML/de...description.htm I'm just looking at keeping on a mooring at Rudi Marrs' as some of the other places are pretty expensive. They have a storage area for tenders and it's really just somewhere to park it until you use it. If I was going to spend time living aboard I'd put it somewhere nicer though.

+1 The salon is just a boating term for lounge really, just like the head, which comes from the ancient practice of going to the head of the boat and hanging the freckle/tackle overboard to take a dump/slash (someone might get the hidden joke there)......

Wow - New Respect For The Gtr!
GTRgeoff replied to Got Boost?'s topic in General Automotive Discussion
Hey Ben, good to see you enjoying the car, just the wrong place for it. Why not come along Tuesday to QR and watch a bit of racing, and maybe sign up for a track day in the future? Much better than the possibility of a writeoff or losing the car under hoon laws. -
Sounds like the pads moving a little as well. I'll need to know exactly what sound it makes though. Does it clunk once? Click rapidly? Heavy or light application make a difference? Does it pull to either side through the wheel? There is no evidence anywhere that using old pads on a freshly machined or brand new disc is any concern unless the pads are crumbling badly. In fact, the best bed in of a new rotor or surface is done with old pads. You can use new but it takes longer and can be unsuccessful. Did you do a bed in properly yet as well? Also, I don't use shims in my brakes at all, and rarely ever get squealing. Did you do any other work? Like replacing the caster rods? If they aren't very tight they will slide a little and clunk under brakes.

Rivieras are way cool, but a bit like a hotel you don't want a wild party in because everything is so expensively finished. Mine is a custom Bruce Roberts Waverunner 38B made 40ft long with rear pods. The styling is a little dated compared to the Rivieras but I can live with the massive amount of space it has instead. It was mostly finished by a professional builder who got sick and couldn't work, sold to a guy that did a bit but found it was taking too much time and money and I got it for a third of what has been spent so far. Still needs motor, steering and rudder but should be pretty easy. Full cedar interior, 2 staterooms, salon, kitchen, head, 3 decks for lounging on plus I'll setup a marlinboard/swimdeck and dive bottle/gear storage and compressor for fills.

200sx S15 Bilstein, Whiteline, Eibach & Noltec Suspension
GTRgeoff replied to Sydneykid's topic in Group Buys
Oh look. Another idiot depriving a village somewhere. So have you actually done any engineering on these sets? Or maybe just another backyard salesman pretending he has a massive advantage by being..... ooh wait, another scumbag salesman trying to make a buck without actually being of any benefit to our forums!!!! Who does the road testing on every set of Whiteline products???? NFI??? Think initials SK. Maybe try first to be a positive contributor, get a trader rating and stop big-noting yourself mate. Maybe even post prices delivered to show you are serious. Or are you just another back shed dealer with no cred, no insurance, no floorspace, no warranty, and a cheap place to buy handbrake covers and crap wheels with shitty narrow rubber on them. Pi55 off back to NS and Boost loosing fool. -
Best of luck to him. I know how a 200 gets my full glass 18ft half cab out so that little boat is just crazy. Nice hole shot pics though. I just hope he knows to ease the throttles off or he will likely bury the nose deep with that type of hull dynamics. As for chine walk....maybe if he had some of the chine in the water

Willans 4 Point 3 Inch Harness
GTRgeoff replied to jake32's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Steve, I'll take these if still available. Happy to pick up after Easter and I still owe you a slab of coldies for the GTR IC pipes you sent me in Melbourne a while back. Name the brew. Tues is busy at QR, Weds should be ok but later in the week will be a bit tight for time. -
Real Estate in Ippy has made me more than $130K in the last 10 months. But everywhere is what you make of it and the lifestyle suits me. Besides, I can always go and splash the boat in anytime, as well as the new 40footer is arriving next week so that will always be in the water.

Talkin Brisbane and north Tezza. We all know what the GC is :sAfrican American:
-
Funkeh, anywhere up here is better than Melb. I even have a coffee shop in Ippy that serves better coffee than I have ever had in Melbourne. And as someone always in demand for executive coffee meetings and lunches I sampled a hell of a lot there in some well regarded places. The Shame Melbourne, you pack of faker wannabes.

Rb26 Inlet Manifold And Adaptation To Rb25 Heads .
GTRgeoff replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That's a head setup worth grabbing. 1800 with freight say. A little skim and lap the valves and bingo, bolt right on. Covers and all. Might just grab it myself. -
If it's only going to cost time let them sort it out. Best of luck with the new one Al.
-
I once got rejected by Nissan Spares in ACT (Belconnen) for a head gasket for an RB26 because I couldn't give them a chassis number for a Nissan Oz supplied car. Because it was for a grey import they thought we were just criminals destroying the prestige of the GTR.
-
Al, seriously mate, talk to Rob at Creatd to get the number for his machinist. I had nothing but joy. Price was great too. And massive commiserations mate.
-
You're welcome Ian. Unfortunately I just got bored waiting for the next call so just grabbed a 40ft motor cruiser to entertain me. Not quite as good handling as the taxi though
-
Not good mate., what's the score now? Kel given up or still shooting for the title?
-
Ahhhh, Nissan Aus. So many non-value added, navel gazing incompetent swinging dicks in their management that there is literally no hope for them. The only idiots in the world that could think a Maxima could carry them as a flagship model. Just wish I was in the market for an R35 so I could get on the list, then cancel to say I was going to buy off a fringe dweller......... So how much is a fringe dweller going to charge for one and when is compliance available?

Rb26 Inlet Manifold And Adaptation To Rb25 Heads .
GTRgeoff replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Smaller ports and smaller capacity. Do some quick volumetric flow rates on how much air alone goes through and the differences will be massive. -

GTRgeoff replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That's right, not enough airflow for it to make decent response and stumbling on throttle openings. The velocities of the air are what is important. But for the cost, just setup a custom 6tb intake. Call Wayne at Meridian Motorsport in Melbourne. He can either organise the setup or put you in touch with someone who can. -

"V-TEC just kicked in....YO!!" Basically you get the cam and mapping responding to whatever computer you use to change the inlet timing relative to the engine RPM. So on my race car, with no VCT but using GTS25t PFC I have the VCT set to over 10,000 RPM, so nothing changes at all. I haven't looked hard enough to know about the welding. -
Nathan, tough luck mate, would have been nice to meet a new face in the Qld crowd. Come on folks, this is an SAUQld open event and we'd like to catch up and have a few laughs with as many people as possible. All financial members, this is an opportunity to start to get involved with the club again if you haven't been active. For those undecided, come and say hello and see who we are at a social gathering. All events we conduct are based upon being social, but we also often do it with cars involved too Cheers Geoff

You'll have a weight penalty next time I catch up Ginger Meggs. Gervase, nice to see it has proper wheels and not Nismo rubbish. TE37s!!! Conversation closed!

Josh, this is a GTR mate.... not a lame old Porka Actually the 911 (997) Carrera S Cabriolet is the nicest of the P1 cars I have driven. The closest in all around competence to the GTR but a tad underpowered and not enough rear seat room. Looking forward to seeing this beast Gervase. I'm only running 320rwkw @14psi atm but soon to get off my ass, install the fuel system and Autospeed EBC and shoot for over 400rwkw. I find it just doesn't respond enough.

Nice Adz. That explains the response. I just instantly thought it would be a 20.
