  1. Take the Doncaster Road turn-off on the Eastern Freeway and it's just there. It's where people who take the bus PARK their cars and RIDE the bus to the city. It's well lit and nice and open. I'm off now, so I'll see you there. CHEERS BASS OUT Looking forwards to meeting some people.
  2. Reset with the wheels straight, No more problem. All fixed. Thanks for help people... BASS OUT
  3. DONCASTER PARK AND RIDE CARPARK 8pm TONIGHT BE THERE BASS OUT (It's wet outside, maybe drifting........)
  4. Mitcham eh? I'm also in that area. You should come and meet tomorrow night at the Doncaster Park and Ride carpark and we can put names to faces! Go on, I can't be there all alone!!!!!! All you other people should come too! BASS OUT
  5. But doesn't anyone want to meet up anyway?? Just for an hour or so??? BASS OUT
  6. Well, it's interested that you said that, because I did actually reset the computer when the wheels were turned into my garage (whilst the car was in the drive) I will reset the computer again now, and gauge the effect when I drive down the freeway again tonight. Good Thought BASS OUT
  7. I did the full diags thing, steering wheel and brake pedal and then back and forwards for 5 meters or so. Then yeah, I sat there stopped whilst the rear wheels squirmed from side to side for a while. Should I have been moving? Cos if I was I would be rear wheels steering up the road..... BASS OOUT
  8. Does it straighten up at any particular speed?
  9. Doe's your's do it consistantly?
  10. Yeah I would but I don't think I'm going to be able to. Have to look at houses all weekend!
  11. How much is that clutch?? Does it bolt to the standard flywheel??
  12. Okay, so the first one was a terrible failure, simply because of the very very short time frame. Maybe Wednesday night we could hook-up same place (Doncaster Park and Ride Carpark, just off the eastern freeway) Is 8pm good?? SOOOOO….. is anyone up for it? Reply to this thread if you are keen, or call me. PM me for my number.... Hope some people can come BASS OUT (crosses fingers..... again)
  13. What does the clutch feel like? Is it grabby, or smooth. Could I drive customers around with it without embarrasing myself?? BASS OUT
  14. Follow-up. I just did a HICAS diagnostics, and it comes up 21, which is vehicle speed sensor not present. Where do I find it, and where the hell did it go? BASS OUT
  15. Hey ppls Well, because there was no interest in the meet last night I decided to reset my engine computer. I pulled the positive lead off the battery (whilst the alarm went insane) and pumped the brake, turned on the lights etc etc. Put the lead back on, let car sit for a while, then started it, let it idle and drove off to teach the thing a lesson or two! Anyway, warmed it up and drove onto the Eastern Freeway from Springvale road, and opened up third gear. Engine running fine, but when I reached 110, the steering wheel began to turn to the left, whilst the car stayed straight. going through to 130 odd, the wheel got further around until I backed off, and the wheel returned to straight by the time I reached 100 again. I tried this again a couple of times with the same result. This worried me somewhat! I was going along the freeway, obviously rear wheel steering. I gave it a couple of swerves and accelerated again to see if I could identify anything mechanically that was flopping about, but the same gradual turn of the wheel from about 100 to 130 (as fast as I wanted to considering). Has this happened to anybody else, and what was it? On the drive to work this morning (4 minutes) I couldn't really get the speed up to see if it was still happening. Please help...... BASS OUT
  16. Meet-up? What meet-up??
  17. This isn't looking at all positive is it?? BASS OUT echo echo echo
  18. Impromptu Skyline meet-up tonight maybe?? I don’t car where, I just haven’t met any of you guys yet and tonight is a good night for me. SOOOOO….. is anyone up for it? Say, Doncaster Park and ride car park, 8pm??? Reply to this thread if you are, or call me. PM me for my number.... Hope some people can come BASS OUT (crosses fingers)
  19. Hey there. I beleive the best way to run an engine in is high load, low revs. Load pushes the rings outwards, giving good bedding conditions. Revs is what ruins new engines, not load. BASS OUT
  20. So, What's happening with the project?? What stage are you and and what power or 1/4 times are you running?? BASS OUT
  21. Yep, I've already got lightweight P1 Buddy rims. Only 17" so they have less inertia than big arse wheels. BASS OUT
  22. Okay, Here’s my plan. I want to make my car quick in a semi-unconventional way. I don’t want to up the boost or do much work on the engine, I would prefer to make the engine more efficient to get the speed. Therefore keeping the look completely stock, the engine management completely stock and most probably stock boost. I plan to go about this by lightening the rotational mass of all the bits I can. Flywheel, clutch, cam gears, pulleys, etc. Has anybody taken this approach or had any results from these sorts of mods. I plan to lighten the following….. Flywheel and clutch combo Camgears Pulley sets on the front of the engine. Remove clutch fan and replace with thermo. Have I forgotten anything? Am I wasting my time and money? What sort of change would these mods make to a quarter mile?? Thanks in advance for any help… BASS OUT
  23. Hi There. Just bought my R34 GT-t, about 8 weeks ago, got my insurance, full comp, from Just Cars. They must have been (or are still) having a special on R-34s because I got mine for $1588. Including exhaust mods, stereo, wheels etc. I'm 25 and on Rating 2 Famous quoted me double that. BASS OUT
  24. hey http://www.apexi.com.au/ takes you to unique autosports. http://www.apexi.com takes you to the us site, with a link to Japan. You could start there I guess. Where did you get it tuned.... they should know. I've got a better idea though........ make a strip of oil on the road for one wheel, then accellerate over it and if it spins the whole way, then the A-LSD isn't working. If it takes off nicely, then its working.... BASS OUT
  25. Sorry, Lucky girl indeed. are there any cables hanging out of the A-LSD computer? BASS OUT
