I was picking Gemma (Fiance) up from the airport. She had been in London for 2 weeks. But that's reletivly late dude!! Normally Gemma has me up at 4:45 o go to the Gym. It opens at 5:30 and we are there just after that! The things we do for love!

I was on about 6:10, talking about premium fuel. Hughesy says he's just put normal in his Monaro and there was no difference, but I rang up and they put me on and I said that it certainly did. Anywhoo, this guy comes on next and says "Nah mate, his car is a 2.5 ltr straight six with a turbo, so they drop the compression and so it doesn't matter what fuel you put in" Farktard! the R34 GTT runs higher compression stock than his piece of crap V8 anyway! BASS OUT bloody yobbos

Yes, you can fit the R34/VG30DET turbine housing to the R33 Turbo, but you wont really pick up that much. You have run out of compressor flow well before changing the exhaust housing will have any effect. However, should you change to the R34/VG30DET housing AND get it all high flowed, then you can pick up some serious gains. Do a search on "Hybrid Turbo" and you'll find that a guy fitted the VG30DET housing to his R33 turbo which has been high flowed and he picked up masses of power. 25 kw top end and about 50k through the guts. Ladies and Gentlemen, As you well may know, DECA 2.0 is coming up, and there's some pretty interesting skid pan tracks. I'm looking for a set of stockies and some crappy tyres to have a bit of fun on the skid pan. I'm out to put on a smoke and drift show, and in no way am trying to win the event! So, if anybody was a set of 16" or 17" wheels and old tyres that are just lying around, begging to be all burnt up, let me know and I can certainly help with the burning part! The would go on the back of my R34 GTT of course. BASS OUT

Not likely I wouldn't think on a single turbo. When you blow the wheel off, the are normally at WOT and by the time the thing blows and the you realise, the thing is already embedded in your cat!!

What size are they?

Leewah is going to bring the purple GTR and we are going to see whether we can get it on boost accross the skid pan!

there's another factor to consider. 14 psi on a stock computer ain't as much as a problem as 14 psi on a PFC running timing and 12.0 AFR. Lots of timing and lean ratios, = HOT gas. The ceramic turbine gets too hot which makes it delaminate from the shaft. Hence, cooler exhaust gas, less chance of blowing turbo.

SK You need to paint the writing on your wheels white. That would look super cool!

Yeah, my compressor wheel still spins with the air going through it, but it's rubbing on the housing, and it squeels like a banshee! Still drives though. Just doesn't do it in any sort of hurry!

I'm happy to have in car and out of car footage of my car all day. You can stick whatever you like to it!
