  1. Hey ppls. I downloaded this Excel Dyno thing ages ago, and haven't really had a chance to check it out. Has anybody used it or something similar to play with shift points etc? Has anybody entered the gearbox ratios and things for an R34 GTT or R33 GTS-T, considering the ratios are the same anyway...... anyone? and in case you want to download it... http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/exceldyno/files/
  2. Yep I do I've got a feeling some 'bending' of the voltage curve was done, but my car is quite happy with the stock AFM. I thought I'd have to buy a Z32, but lo and behold, it's all good.
  3. I just made 250 rwkw with my GCG R34 GTT turbo.

You'll also find that the V8 SC guys have ignition cut on their clutches which, obviously, cuts ignition for the splilt second it takes them to jam the gears, hence they keep their foot flat on the throttle. They also have a soft limiter which will keep revs pegged at 7500 between gears, such is the beauty of Motec. I used to flat shift 1st to 1nd in my VN V6 5 speed commodore all the time, but couldn't do 2nd to 3rd. Mind you, it took we about 0.1 do rip it from 1st to 2nd!! I ran a 15.2 in that car. It rocked!
  6. Hey guys. I'm about to have the samples cut for the R33 GTR and GTS-T. Hopefully a lot of the detail will carry over across the R33 range. Once I have them, I'll get a Melbournite Stagea to test them on an make any alterations. Please bear with me. This is silly season at work!
  7. I wouldn't think so. I'd say that there were either engineering computations that said the nylon compressor wouldn't suit the slightly raised torque, or they didn't want to do another build of the turbos because they were running the model out.
  8. I have a feeling that this particular turbo have steel inlet wheel. Same ceramic exhaust wheel. I would say that the boost and power levels would be close enough to the same. I think on the series II R34, there was a 20nm hike in torque, but saem 206kw power rating. BASS OUT

  12. The Exh Cam gear on the Neo Engine did absolutely nothing. Cost me $600 worth of fitting and dyno time, and did nothing. On the non Neo, apparently it can give 5rwkw through the midrange and a little bit up top too, but it's probably not worth the effort. The cost and effort required to pick up 5rwkw isn't really justifiable. IMHO BASS OUT

  17. Nah, RacePace is one of the best in the country. He doesn't play with the numbers because most of the people going there aren't worried about numbers. Just getting the best from their cars. Ash's R31/RB25DET ran 20rwkw higher in Shootout mode on the same dyno, and it's known to be conservative.
  18. Isn't there a Daughterboard you can buy through a group buy here that allows you to modify the stock rom form your laptop...... Was quite cheap too I beleive. Dr Drift can tune them.

  20. Stock injectors are about done at 200. I saw 92% at Winton with 200 rwkw My new Nismo 480cc are at about 80% with 250
  21. Even if it looks only half as good as it felt, its still awesome! When I'm only in a few years, I want to look back and say "I was cool once" That footage is the key!
  22. I was wondering how long it wopould take for SK to see this. Any further thoughts on my 250rwkw ceiling SK? 14psi, very conservative timing......
  23. yep. Cooler, exhaust etc. I went from 165 to 200 with the PFC
