  1. doridori32 have you got anything to show that the GReddy coolers or the SAFC are 'crap?' There's a lot of people on the forums who are using these with no problems.. (That being said, I'm using a PFC ) I also can't see how you could say that the cooler would definitively have a no better results against a cheaper intercooler, or vice-versa. doridori32's right about just hi-flowing the R33 turbo. One of the easier ways to improve your power.
  2. Hey all, I've got an R34 GT-T cooler on my R33, and it's running well, pushing 200kw. However, considering perhaps moving to a bigger cooler. I'd like to avoid a front mount, just because I like to be difficult Has anyone had any experiences with the aftermarket stock mount coolers - like the ARC or the GReddy R-SPL? How do you find them? Cheers. Vijay
  3. With regards to inconsistencies of the dates - unlikely it would make a difference if appealed against.
  4. I'm closing this thread as there are plenty about Prestige already on the forums, and lots of these other questions have been answered before. Cheers Vijay
  5. spotted black gtst bout 6pm comin down greatwestern in glenbrook and r33 white looked niceee had red writing on white plates mighta been outta state or sumthin
  6. i think people should do what they want... no point going to uni if you dont want to and no point getting into a trade if you dont want to .... but becuase yoru still young good idea to stay in school (maybe tyr and get some experience on the side) and the get in2 it fulltime after school... least then you always got a fallback plan if you dont like it or you can get in2 it properly... and 2 years is nothing in the scheme of things .. got the rest of you life to work enjoy school n party on

  8. Hey ppl, Currently looking for a shift light for my 33. I've had a look around and a lot of them (like the Pivot ones) hook up via the cigarette lighter. I've got a PowerFC and wondering if there are any that will connect to that. Also, what's the smallest one out there? I'm looking for something that's as small as possible.. Anyone got any recommendations? Thanks
  9. Have you spoken to the compliance workshop yet? What have they said?
  10. Mu's Secret in Sydney can get them in. Last time I was there they had a set in black, looked sweet! If you buy HPI they usually have an ad on the inside back cover (or the web address www.musesecret.com.au)
  11. Last few days: BEG45X Silver S2 R33 GTST at Panthers Thursday night Purple R34 GTR with CF wing on King Georges yesterday CMY4SS white R33 GTST in Brighton last night.. Great plates huh?
  12. Friend of mine had a similar problem, stuttering under acceleration. He fixed it by having his injectors cleaned.
  13. i bought my 32 through yahoo auctions used prestige motorsports... everything went through fine ... id say try normal jap auctions first though
  14. You probably mean Denso (or Nippon Denso). Make a lot of OEM parts for manufacturers.
  15. I know this is supposed to be Rez's thread, but can I just say that Marcus, your car looks so clean! My bro's 32 came with a GTR fibreglass copy, and thanks to Tein suspension and some car parks, now sports extra custom air holes. Gotta love the drift setup cars - his mesh consisted of chicken wire cable tied to the bar. I think that's why your car caught my eye!
  16. Yes it does apply. Makes a difference, but it can easily by offset by the shifting exchange rates.
  17. Insert standard grab here about supporting local industry It's definitely cheaper buying it off EBay but can be a hassle if you need to have it repaired as local repairers normally won't honour an overseas product unless you bought it from an approved outlet. My friend has bought heaps of stuff from that guy you've mentioned JimX in the past. No problems.
  18. Yeah my tacho and speedo are out compared to my PFC reading, but not by that much. More concerned about the tacho not working properly.
  19. Hey all, After having my EL dials in for nearly six months, I've only just realised that my tachometer needle is sticking up around the 5000rpm mark. I've taken it in to where I got them installed, and they played around with it, but it's still happening. So while we're trying to figure out why it is, has anyone experienced similar problems? On acceleration, once it hits about 5k or so it will just stick, past that sometimes it will jerk to the higher revs, and then stick back on the way down. Getting annoying... Cheers.
  20. From what previous posts have said it may be hard to claim for easily removable items like gauges, stereos, etc. I think it's mainly there to cover things like loss of car (eg ship sinking, container getting destroyed etc). Best bet is to hide the accessories if you're worried, or have them removed from the car and mailed to you.
  21. So it's like a incar computer / media player? I always wanted to put one in my 33 but never got around to it. Looks pretty neat though.
  22. Just need the dereg papers, purchase invoices, and anything else that will prove the car is over 15 years old. Check in the sticky for the link to the DOTARS website.
  23. Maybe a HICAS remover box thing (great technical explanation there). Tomei (amongst others) has a HICAS lock kit that included an interface to the HICAS box that you wired in.
