  1. http://www.dotars.gov.au/transreg/vsb/vsb_...ersonal_Imports Shows all the required information for a Personal Import (note that extra requirements if the car is coming from Japan). Vijay
  2. S has a 37mm diameter, RS has a 40mm diameter, and R has a 47mm diameter recommended for vehicles over 300hp (stiff spring for 375hp) Greddy RS is the newer design over the Type R and Type S. If you're not running anything crazy on your 180 I'd go the RS. /edit: even though the type s is smaller it has the advantage of being able to be straight plumbacked no adapter... apparently greddy is making an adapter for the rs which isnt out yet but i honestly have no idea when this is going to be
  3. Nah you have to wait til it's 15 years by the month before you can apply. Otherwise they'll send just your application back and tell you to wait until the month. Nah AQIS inspect the cars as they come off the ship, or pretty soon after. If it passes, you can pick it up with the paperwork. If it fails, off to Hobbs Bros and usually they clean it and AQIS will inspect it the following day. Getting all the compliance work done costs approx $1200. Vijay
  4. Leaving the docks and going to Quarantine? AQIS usually inspect vehicles while they are still in the docks. Only would need to do an overnighter in Hobbs if it has failed the initial inspection. I don't understand your second question? Under the current scheme, you can only apply for import approval (to bring your car over) in the month it turns 15 years old. Once it is approved and clears customs, you can get the compliance work done immediately. Has your car been brought over before it turned 15?
  5. Neil, Blitz, BU5TER are all mods of the For Sale forums - but you can send it to any mod (like me) and I'll pass it on. Vijay
  6. Checking on the prices of both the adaptor flanges and the plumbback kit (1421-FIT001) - it doesn't include vacuum hose. But you can easily get a flange from Autobarn or other car parts store. If you do still want one, let me know. /edit: I recommend the Greddy Type R though. Comes ready to plumbback without an additional adaptor.
  7. /edit: BOVs that have arrived are now: SSQV: $310 each Greddy Type R: $330 each
  8. Yeah, what they all said. Let us know what he says, what paperwork he is waiting on. It shouldn't take that long if the paperwork was in order. I did it myself with no prior experience and cleared my car two days after it had landed in Australia.
  9. You actually do, as per the rules.
  10. I think I can fix it Shell - want me to give it a try?
  11. Nah the Nemesis can be installed on virtually any car.. but Subaru has chosen them as their alarm of choice - that's what I was saying. When it comes down to it, any alarm is as good as the person who installed it. Just remember that.
  12. Well the nemesis is installed OEM on most WRXs now so that should give you an indication of how well someone like Subaru appreciates it. Have a chat to Allen Jong from Maxi Security - he's the master installer for Brant and also carries some other alarms. 0419 988 679
  13. Marty does it again - is there anything the man can't do?
  14. hahaha funnily enough even after that a day later it happened again bought some contact cleaner from jaycar and cleaned afm it was covered in oil from air filter and its workin so it looks like it was a combination but ive got a new afm (thanks cubes) and am getting a new air filter etc.. .non oiled
  15. Yeah don't you hate that? I haven't been looking at the Yahoo Auctions much because when I do, I get part envy.
  16. Lucien - Zac @ Slidewize Imports arranges a container regularly to Australia. His webpage also has some preset searches for the Yahoo Auctions which may help those who aren't up to scratch with their 日本語 (http://www.slidewizeimports.com/products/yahoo.html) Vijay
  17. Mate you already started a thread about this in FI and it was locked. Do you listen / learn?
  18. My brother has the same kit (and his looks better ) but has a GTR front bar. Also scored a Bride drivers seat too..haha Nice purchase though. What colour is it exactly? Your car is really clean on the inside though. I'm sure you're going to love it.
  19. they are similar sizes but give off different voltages from what i believe... ie the z32s have better resolution than say the rb20det afms but are of the same physical size
  20. Does anyone count South Pac as a club apart from me? (ex-ressie for six years in Canberra)
  21. Mine looks pretty much the same on the drivers side but I haven't had any problems either.
  22. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=46719 The Z32 AFM, and R32 and R33 non-GTR AFMs are all the same diameter (80mm). Only difference between these are the plugs. The R32 (and R33 S1?) are different to an R33 S2, which is again different to a Z32. The only larger AFMs are the 90mm which is from the Inifiniti Q45.
  23. Err, they're actually series 1 seats.
