  1. Yeah man I bought them from Nissan Arizona US cost over $800 for 18 of them and I managed to get 6 from a guy in Aus for $8.80 each... Spewing he didn't have a few hundred of them at that price haha
  2. Hey lads Just bought a new set of lifers. As these are new they are rock solid hard and can not be compressed at all! My local cylinder head shop has told me to open all the lifers and pull them apart as if you were rebuilding them and blow the oem test oil out of them, then put them back together. He said they should be compressed easily by hand/fingers so when they are installed to the head they won't jam a valve open on the initial run but will be very noisy for a bit until they pump up.. Now all rebuild DIY's and tutorials I have read and watched suggests to 'bleed down' the lifter body and remove all air so that they are rock hard prior to reinstallation..... Bit of conflicting info here can someone please let me know if the head shop is full of $h!7 The car already has type A poncams and is getting a set of performance springs/retainers installed as well as the new lifers
  3. Cheers bruh!! Haha I was pretty freakin stoked with the end result considering all the dramas I had then when it was all finally done no one said "nice effort" or anything at all lol sad panda I personally haven't seen anyone else achieve this with a HKS gtrs so I thought someone woulda had some praise lol
  4. Anyone else getting this result on a similar set up?
  5. Thanks man good power for that boost huh! I've seen a fair few dyno read outs for the .68 rear but none for the .87
  6. Do you have a dyno for your .87 rear?
  7. Managed to track a hks one down by chance.. And yes it was not a kit but a stand alone turbo.
  8. Yeah I didn't actually realise there was an .87 option until now haha
  9. I've found a lad selling one but he's in Russia lol Thanks for the help dudes (:
  10. The HKS 3037 pro has a bigger turbine wheel than the 2835 but also comes in the .68 or .87 a/r same as 2835...... So would there still be the 500-750 rpm difference ? Might be less? Would love to see a dyno comparison of the two turbo housings
  11. Sweet thanks heaps for your reply man... Now for another question and I know I could find it on here but I'll try you first lol... Do you know how much different the larger .87 a/r is in regards to lag/spool response and power than the smaller .68 housing ??
  12. Have searched for hours in here and Google and a few other forums relentlessly dude and I can't actually find another one missing the gt2835-56T numbers on the CHRA plate (like mine) hence the reason I made this thread
  13. Does this mean it's an .87 AR ????
  14. Just bought this 'new' turbo and noticed it doesn't have gt2835-56T stamped on the CHRA plate like all other genuine HKS items seem to have.... Has anyone else seen this on theres ???
  15. Hey man I made nearly same power with a HKS GT-RS (: S1 rb25 Ross forged Pistons Standard rods with ARP bolts Rebuilt head Tomei pon cams Metal head gasket Nismo 740cc injectors Hpi turbo manifold Hks GT-RS turbo Custom Rb26 itb's (six throttle set up) Walbro 460lh pump Tomie fpr Turbosmart eboost2 Greddy fmic E85 20psi @ 3500rpm / 396rwhp @ 7000rpm
  16. Cheers guys unfortunately I still have not heard back yet but everyone keep your fingers crossed yeh!!!
  17. Also, If anyone knows someone who might be keen on one, spread the word
  18. yeah i also agree that 2k would be a fair price....ill post updates as soon as i hear back. they are slow at replying to my emails tho haha
  19. Hi guys i'm new here so i hope i'm doing this the rite way. I contacted Gibson Motorsport a few month back about potentially reproducing their rb20 low mount manifold for mine and my brothers rb powered cars and got this response - Thanks for your interest in the low mount manifold on the RB 20, we have not had any calling to reproduce this spec manifold recently, as you may know they were custom made for the race application back in the late 80’s and the talented guy who made these units was a specialist in manifold production and has been retired now for many years, having recently spoken to several people who could produce a similar manifold I would suggest that it could be done but may get quite expensive for a very low volume production run, would you be interested in just a single unit? Before I send samples for some formal quotes can you also give me an indication of what you think “for the rite price” might be as there are many low quality items for that application on eBay that I will have trouble competing with and I need you to understand the price I quote would be for supplying a high quality custom made race spec unit. I look forward to hearing from you. So the question now is, who would be interested in potentially owning one of these pieces of motoring art?? And what would you guys consider a fair price??
  20. So finally got my car back.... Blue line is the old E85 tune...
  21. Finally after a mountain of random happenings, my s13 goes back onto the dyno (again) today .... Wish me luck haha
  22. I don't know if it's hybrid or what is is really but I guy had it for sale for 150 do I bought it just to have a look at it honestly .... But after seeing the quality I have decided to use it lol
  23. It's definitely not an eBay manifold I've seen a few of them (they are puss) and the quality of this one is that of a professional. Not to mention I can't find any other manifolds bar one in japan that have the runner configuration of this particular one.... (three at back of motor)
