  1. Yeah man it is under pressure.... a friend at VAGarage has one he uses regularly to test and fix all the Audi/vw turbo cars he works on
  2. Also forgot to mention Matty put a sensor in the o2 plug on the dump and measured 4psi of back pressure at 20psi boost.... I'm installing a flanged allflow non cat and having smoke machine boost leak test done by a friend in the next few weeks and then back to Matty at pits for a re tune and to tune the throttles as well so well see how all that goes lol
  3. It's a set up drift car it has adjustable and solid everything (bushes/arms) and a fair bit of body bracing/rollcage/heavy as swaybars and yes it runs a fair bit of camber can't remember exactly how much but I run shitty rotas 18x10 and 18x12...... Don't forget it's 400whp rb25 s13 mostly stripped out for weight reduction it had no problems spinning the semis befor e85
  4. It's mostly a street car but fully equipped for drift...it's feels noticeably faster actually driving it on the street now (e85) then before on bp98.. I am now having even more trouble getting any good amount of power to the road without wheel spin (rsr semies) It had year old good tyres on when was on the dyno....one did internally delaminate towards the end tho haha....
  5. Just converted my rb25 s13 to e85. the car feels a lot faster but should it be making full boost sooner??? also puzzled at how boost and power comes on later than the bp98 ..... Has the following mods: Standard rebuilt rb25 acl bearings arp bolts throughout tomei poncams hks ex cam gear +8 i think hks gtrs turbo kit on standard manifold, custom japan made r32 gtr 6 throttle plenum retains standard side feeds high flowed 740cc greddy cooler apexi induction kit and pod turbosmart plumb back bov 3inch turbo back exhaust 100cell cat straight through to twin cannons power fc walbro 460 tomei fpr koyo rad and greddy oil cooler blitz spec r boost controll excedy light flywheel nismo 2way lsd etc...etc.. the bottom red line in dyno 1&2 is the bp98 18psi the middle pink line in dyno 1&2 is E85 on the same boost the top orange line in dyno 1&2 is E85 20psi and some tweaking dyno 3 is just differant boost settings after it was tuned obviously....
  6. May be of some help..... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/191089200535?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  7. done a little research and found that the turbos are - Make=IHI, Model=RHB52, Compressor trim=VF10 these turbos came off two differant subaru liberty/legacy 1989-1994 models.
  8. yeah thats what i thought ay. so will the rb26 one still run okay a rb25/30 engine?
  9. i was looking at a D-Jetor POWER FC +Hand Set for about 1250
  10. so because i already have all the parts mentioned above, if i kept this set up and still went with this style of build, would i uase a RB26 or RB25 ecu??
  11. I have an IHI twin turbo set off two different WRX engines for an rb25/30 build im doing for my drift car. I was told by the guy who was running it he was making just shy of 300rwkw on an rb25 with fairly good response. He also told me they would in theory be even more responsive on an rb25/30 because of the 3L bottom end and because I’m using a 6 throttle RB26 inlet manifold. The manifolds that came with the head and turbos are way too high and so I asked 6boost to make me some new ones. He then told me - Do you want to do this to be different?? Or to make power, or think it'll spool earlier?? As my best advise would be to sell it and go single, GT35 will make more power and out spool it, look neater and be less hassle, however if you must have twin manifolds, they would be $1400inc and take 1 week to build for you. And I said - hi mate, I was told these came off a built rb25 and made just shy of 300rwkw. I was also told, because I’m putting them on a RB25/30 they will spool faster then on the RB25. I’m only after a solid 300rwkw. I’ve always liked the idea of twins, (not trying to be different) but it was always too much hassle and money to go that way. I was going to go the GT35 and then I found the head on eBay for real cheap. The turbo's are in immaculate condition (almost new). I’m also putting a 6-throttle RB26 inlet manifold on the NEO head to improve response. Do you think these ideas and info sound plausible? And he said - The twins will definitely spool slower than a single GT35. Even on an RB26, a GT35 with .82 spool FASTER than the STOCK twins, and makes more power than the biggest bolt on style turbo's the HKS 25/40's, which it out spools these by 1500rpm. The old myth that twins spool earlier is from 10 years ago when single turbo technology was in the 70's still, yet smaller style T28 stuff had been vastly improved. If you’re after response, IMO, the worst thing you could do it fit twins. Same goes for the 6 throttle intake manifold. They lose about 500rpm of spool; Zoom back to back tested it years ago and found they lost massive midrange. I have found the same thing comparing a GReddy style RB25 intake to a stock intake with top half style plenum. The short runners of either a GReddy or RB26 manifold is what kills the bottom end torque and hence spool. The best possible spool combination you could possibly fit to this engine is the stock lower runners, a Plazmaman top half plenum, and a GT35 with .82 rear. With the VCT connected, you should have 20psi by 3400rpm, and make 300rwkw on 16-18psi, if the engine is built with rods and pistons, you'll make 350-380rwkw on 20-22psi pump fuel no stress at all. So can some one pleas clarify this for me?? And please tell me what is true. [atta chment=237597:5.jpg]
  12. will my R33 tomeii pon cams work in my rb25de neo head if i put a r33 cam angle sensor on it? and can i put my turbo set up off my r33 head onto the neo head? - are the ports and bolt patterns the same on the heads??
  13. Hi all. I have a turbo set up and tomeii pon cams off a r33 rb25det and i want to put them on a rb25de neo head. can someone please tell me, are all the bolt holes the same on the exhaust side?? and will the cams go in the neo head and work prperly?? I als want to put rb26 plenum and throttle bodies on the neo head. I have the adaptor plate for this. will the plate bolt up to the neo head the same as it would the r33 head?? any info is very much appreciated.
