My recommendation is of the reviews and response from many of the boys on here. Haven't heard a bad word yet. Id also say that the Tien and Gredy, Ie Jap spec are not really suited to our roads as such. most get a 6/8 ( correct me if wrong) Spring rate in the BC's and say its good for daily driving and all round good set up. Ill report back on my Cusco coil overs soon - Though i have a feeling the spring rates are something stupid like 18..... See how we go but

it's your car. whos gives a stuff what we think. Your driving/paying for it. But Black or Bronze....

R33 Gts-4 Parts Enquiry
sydking replied to Ben26's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hey mate, good to see another 33 gts4 owner. Search my posts/threads as ive started quite a few about the GTS4 and the forever ongoing headaches of what parts we can use. So hard to find solid info on them, though one of the boys on here works for Nissan and helped me out matching part numbers ect ect. il locate the name for you if you don't come across him first. From my experience all the parts you need you could take of a 33 GTS/gtst - Essentially that's what car they are, though using a GTR drive-line and ATTESSA Awd. Suspension wise you - i used a set of GTST coil-overs. Fit no dramas - Lots of people will tell you about the eye and fork mounts and you need front GTR and rear GTST. but that's not the case. ( i think the 32 GTS4 uses GTR all round/mix) For a hub conversion though, You will need GTR Front hubs. By the sounds you are still using the 4 stud? if so im confident is saying you will be able to use GTST/GTS parts from a 33 I think i still have a set of lower control arms you can take. Were you located? -
unless your saving $500+ i wouldn't bother with used ones, Though if you can take them somewhere to get a solid check over then by all means. As above, the BC BR are very popular.

Makes you wonder huh.....
-
your not wrong..... i never felt as bad paying for food in Sydney until i came back from Thailand, $1.20 avg for a fresh Thai curry and rice topped with a fried egg, Pad Thai ect ect Fried chicken on the side of the road for about 30c a piece - I'd go back to Chiang Mai just to get chicken from that local guy. Hair cut and a cut throat shave for $2 dammit.... i need to go back...
-
Now this is what i want..... Sick of paying for overpriced breakfast. Ive seen similar meals for around $20-$30...... Dreaming!!
-
Dont know about stress free..... I think is 3 GPS's ive tossed out the car window now...
-
Agreed mate, The GPS can be the worst enemy, a turn off not clear and being to worried about going the way of the GPS you can end up in alot of trouble not paying attention to the actual road. I hate being so dependant on my GPS..... they are great for the odd occasion, But i found my self going somewere once a week, for ages and still knot knowing the route because i solely rely on the GPS
-
People who swerve in and out of there lane is my biggest HATE! especially when they nearly run you off the road, Then when i beep the horn they give me the finger, wind the window down all the usual crap. The couple times ive stuffed up on the road, I always pull up next to them if possible to apologises. I always thank people who let me in ect etc. Its just common curtsey and makes the roads nicer for all. the outside lane is always empty on particular roads..... But its such a risk with people swerving into it its not worth it any more.... people just cant stick in there lane. around a bend or straight. Seriously need to beep just to wake half of these idiots up

Not yet, Il hook it up tonight. its on my bros account, Think its Pames93 Add me haha

Bumping this! After a bit of reading and getting my new set up all done, I thought it might be a good to look into corner weight balancing, As coil-overs are getting installed. Ive been quoted $500-600 from a couple reputable shops now. I was pretty gob smacked! The same place will be doing my 4WD wheel alignment, Rubber fitting, Coil over set up Is corner balancing essential for a street car?
-
This is true, But me personally would still feel at square one with no car..... and you'd probably look into buying one down the track anyway
-
How did you pour 34k into a car without noticing any of the issues before hand......if they were as bad as you say they were. Most things can always be fixed/Restored if you have the time and funds to do so. In your situation maybe best to cut your losses instead of chasing that 34k back. As above i'd pick up a shell a transplant it all. if you poured your money into engine, and other bolt ons. Then just call a 3k shell and expensive lesson.
-
Show that part list to a few other reputable shops and compare. I'd say look into pre built motors off the shelf aswell.

Always a catch huh - Il call Monday morning and pick there brains

New Here! - Opinions On Catback For An R34 25Gt
sydking replied to Nickos12's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Welcome mate, 2.25" You don't want much bigger. Id say say your $$ and leave it stock. Head of the the NA section once you find your way around, Plenty of info. -
So full comp on another car? Family members count? or full comp on the same car then switched over to NRMA. The rest sounds good to me, My car is a 97 make so just on 15 years now.
-
Get full license on the 29th November - Im about a year behind in getting them as i got my P's late. That's another thing with our cars - Like you stated, They used OEM parts to fix the repairs on your ole boys claims. That's more then fine when its a local car with plenty of new cheap parts. But trying sourcing new parts from Nissan or Japan for fix a wrecked Skyline, you'd seriously be up for thousands for a front bar and a few other bits a pieces let alone a big accident. Hence more often then not its a write off. Then they stuff you around with the salvage of parts if your not careful. Also agreed, Nothing better then a Civil conversation when opinions are flowing.
-
Hmmm looks like you onto something there Ben, I might have to give NRMA a call - What about salvage rights. Mods, garage, ect ect Your age would play a big part, Im 21 so il be paying accordingly. Still always good to compare and hear other people sides - Couple of the boys have had some bad experiences with NRMA come claims time....
-
haha - I would actually like to see a comparison - Just to settle the score.
-
Me and the missus - Though im sure ill be pinching some of her plate after ive smashed mine as always.

Tonight's adventures will be 15 Hour Brined and butterfly'd Chicken, Plenty of osmosis happening with that amount of time. taken out and pat dried this morning, Sitting on a rack in the fridge to dry up ( makes the skin real crispy) Will cook indirectly, over coals for 1 1/2 hours.
