hmm got it welded on the way home, i called and asked what type of weld he wanted, he sed any along as it becomes "part" of the exhaust, got a rough mig weg the whole way round. My noise DB reading came in at 89.7

Bloods Fu@#ing boiling right now, Passed the noise inspection and this clown at Granville wants the silencer in he tip of exhaust fully welded on, Now another $ 60.50 for a 5 min inspection.

Inspection in 1 hour at Granville. let see how i go aye.

hhmm might do them both. He check the heat temps on the cat, It has not been punched out. I thought he drilled a few to man holes in the metal flange piece, but its better, might whack one behind the muffler like you say. Booked in For granville next week.

Just got the metal piece behind the cat put in, holes drilled and steel wool stuffed in, cost me $50 but its much quieter. Just got off the phone to the "approved" list of mechanics. Granville. $60. what a joke that i need to pay for this aswell. My mechanic sed my exhaust is 3" going to 3 1/4 back to 3". HAHA i always thought it was a 2 1/2 " who in there right mind would put bigger on a NA.

Thats my best bet at the moment, going in the the local exhaust shop for a noise test. $30. Will have a chat to him about the making up the metal piece behind the flange. Cheers. il let you all know how i go.

They have an "Anti Tempering" section to pass by the looks of it, A baffle in the joint sounds a bit dicey. care to explain?

Car is NA and the only mod is the Exhaust. its got a Cat, and a new muffler, still quite loud tho. Not testing for emissions, Just has to be under 90DB at 4800 RPM. Yes i have a listed place their approved workshops. il gets some pics of the form up asap.

Got a letter today for a vehicle inspection notice, says its for noise control. Any idea to find out how i was seen in the first place ect. The car is loud, says it has to be under 90db at 4800 revs. any way i can check at my own mechanic first at all? Would be best bet to just switch over to stock exhaust for inspection? is there much involved, Im using the one it came from japan with.

Deck is a Clarion CZ100a and the Amp is a Clarion APX 4241 Only running front splits, and yes they are running of the Amp Turning the volume up and down does nothing to the siren sound, The sound will stay on with the unit off, and for a second or two after i take the face off. (which is the only way ive been able to stop it) Jump back in the car once it cooled down, did the same thing but i took the face off and put it back in. went back to normal. Since the install after having to return a faulty head unit i added a Antenna cord to the back on the unit and got the antenna wired back up. ( done by the installer)

Car was left outside today and i have just had an amp and new speakers and head unit installed. jumped in the car now and the speakers were making very loud siren sounds like a warning siren. The car was very hot. The car Audio has been fine apart from this time, the only time the car was stinking hot. my fault.

ive got my new head unit and front splits in, completely forgot about the Adapter for the Radio, also im getting quite a bit of Alternator whine. anyone had this problem after an install before?

i bought my line from edwards, they wanted 15k and i walked away with it for 10k, apart from that i wouldn't go back. tried to tell me they had good rubber on the wheels, i have a look and it had jap snow tyres. I think they change back to the crap after it's complied. it worth a look tho, i didn't take it to a mechanic or have any real idea what i was after. was lucky i guess, Tho i do know quite a few people who bought there cars from there with no problems at all.

After hubs, rotors and calipers. whole set up it you have.
