  1. not mine but in my eyes, one of the best combos for a 32
  2. ok feel pretty silly as i found it pretty quick, moderators this can be deleted, or left up for others to enjoy, thanks http://jstyle2.wordpress.com/2008/07/16/garage-saurus-884r-sudo-r/
  3. just wondering if anyone has info or more pics of this r32, im in love with the thing cheers
  4. who supplies these wheels in australia?
  5. ^thats right^ a freinds clutch plate dropped out of his semi automatic 2000 alfa romeo, 3500 grand later, he sold the car, another funny story, a mate wanted to spend the 90000 profit he made on a house to buy a porsche, the thing was raping him with even the smallest little thing costing a fortune, it wasnt till his rear badge got stolen, and he rang porsche, $600 for the badge was the last straw... sold unless you can really afford it, stay away from anything european, but iv given up after reading everything and and its the same old story, when your that age, nothing matters, not even your parents telling you to stay in school in some cases, i think its time to learn the hard way buddy, but it all comes down to the funds, if your family has money, there will be nothing hard about it, and most importantly, nothing learnt. but nobody else knows but you, you literally busted your ass to save 30.000 to get your car, or you worked hard on the weekends and for being such a good hard worker your getting a little help. but it seems that from what im reading, the expenses of a european car dont bother you because youll just get a little more help. but if i am wrong and you will be funding everything with a medium income, dont spend anywhere near your maximum budget, youl crucify yourself. so ill give you my opinion one last time, i dont beleive it is a good idea to buy a 30000 bmw, but if your family can afford it. get whatever you want...
  6. get the bmw, and keep it till your off your p´s, you will get pulled over and you will get fined on your p´s unless you get some ultra rare exemption to drive an r34 gtr, drive around with no p´s and get double fines and 3 points each time, you would have lost your lisence within a couple of months and wont be able to drive the car anyway, take the 1 point option and you will possibly lose it for 6 months, dont forget about insurance premiums rising if youve lost your licence... not only that but when i was under 25, my insurance premium on my skyline was $4000 on a $25000 car, (never lost my licence or had an accident but they didnt care ) id love to see what it would been for an r34 gtr... but if youve got your parents funding the majority of your product, go for it, they dont care, so why should you.
  7. what abour the corvette zr1, 2005 - 2011 70-100.000 in the states, theres one bloke that converts them and complies them in melbourne, but for 300,000 aud registered, hmmm i think ill just grab a mercielago and a volvo for the missus
  8. didnt read the 10 pages and im not sure what there worth in perth, but i had a gtir for a while and i tell you what, that was one of the most enjoyable cars i have owned, bit of boost, fuel reg, exhaust and a tune, the thing boogied, heaps of fun, wouldnt say it was the strongest car ive owned as you need to baby them a little bit, but these can be had for 5000 if you have the cash easily and would be my choice if i was after a fun car with a $5000 budget
  9. yeah i realise 40 is more then most would be willing to pay, but maybe you could negotiate with him, your obviously looking at spending around high 20's to low 30's if your looking for a prestine example and interested in vpec 1's and vspec 2's so offer him cash, you never know, he might say yes also, anyone know if the guy selling the burgandy 32 with gdzlaa plates in vic a while back is still for sale, that thing was mickey
  10. what about import a manual half cut, found this on the net, so someone has imported them http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125246 anyone know how much one would go for in japan?
  11. this seems to be a very nice example also http://www.carsales....mode%20matchany and what i mean by how much do you want to spend, personally i absolutly love r32, but i would still be hard pressed paying 40000 for one, i think the one below is worth the money but in this day and age not many people would be willing to pay it, but i would say i would pay up to 32000 for it, check below, beautiful condition http://www.carsales....mode%20matchany ok maybe a little more
  12. depending where you are but this isnt black, i have a look at whats out there every now and again and if i was in the hunt for a 32, id have a look at this one. from what it sounds like, it sounds pretty good http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?trecs=21&tsrc=allcarhome&__Ntk=CarAll&PriceFrom=395&__Ntt=gtr&R=11021062&seot=1&silo=1011&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&keywords=gtr&__D=gtr&__sid=1329596A98FC&Cr=7&__N=1216%201282%204294963846%204294963593%20395%20904&__Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&__Qpb=1&__Nne=15&__Dx=mode%20matchany
  13. i love it when i hear these stories, i really do, but you didnt beat the system, you beat a so called cheater of the system, the system if full of them and justice has provailed here, wich is mighty rare in the car scene so good on you. i on the other hand, have beat the system, and i only done it as justice didnt provail for me, my mother was driving my car in a side street with a limit of 50km and got done doing 55km so i got done for 3km i think it was , so i sent their infringement back with her details and they sent it back 3 times saying i didnt fill it out properly 3 times and i got another letter saying they do not except my form and i will be receiving the point, with that point i had a choice of either losing my license for 3 months or 1 point in 12 months, well i took the one point as i needed to work. a month later on the way to the country for work, where talking about 3 hours into the trip of 110km, i cross a side highway to get on another, i made sure i was on 110 as i wanted to drive perfect knowing about the 1 point, anyway, car goes past, turns around, lights on, in the middle of god damn nowhere, nothing i mean a 50km stretch of nothing and i get pulled over, yes officer whats the problem i know i wasnt speeding, yes you were he says. the limit here is 100. i said what where is the sign, he says in between the 3 and 4km peg, we where at the17km peg... i said youv got to be kidding me, so you obviously book people here on a regular basis because there is only 1 measily sign which you can miss if you scratch your balls. he was one of those country coppers that was wrapped to give me a ticket, just a cocky person who loved to book blokes. anyway told him i was taking it to court and he said youll lose and took off with a smile on his face. i knew id lose but i had to because if they processed this new fine... bang, i would have lost my lisence for six months. planning my attack the rest of the drive, the whole week and on the way home, i got back home and got straight on the phone with civic compliance, after speaking to 12 different departments and writing numerouse letters ect ectr they finally put the 5km over fine under investigation, finally after 2 weeks they revoked the 5km fine, i got some points back and they took me off the 1 point in 12 months as the fine that got me there in the first place was revoked as it wasnt even me. anyway, i did end up going to court for the 10km over fine on the highway and lost, i told them that it was unfair as the sign is hardly visible and i was driving with caution as i was under the one point in 12 months option , the judge then proceded to say that then with this matter of speeding you have lost your licence for 6 months, what a witch she was, till i showed her the certificate of my fine being revoked and my points going back to normal, there was a pause, the gaurd grabbed my letter, the judge read... haha, then i said what about the sign, she said take it up with vicroads, $220, 1 point, court egerned :):):: , coped the fine, kept my licence, and after being screwed over by the system a thousand times, im overseas, sippin a scotch and coke, racking my points back up.
  14. well i agree with you there, i have always liked the way a honda drives, just dont like the look of any of their post 2002 cars, the euro isnt too bad
  15. hehe yeah its been my nickname for years, im not looking at this moment but i have sent my car to ben before, it was on my last car and has been over 5 years now but i would definatly go there again, it was more out of interest as it has always been a dream of mine to do what the beer baron has done. one day... but if something does go wrong, your %100 right
  16. not mine but heres one
  17. that honda definatly looks like a whales mouth, wouldnt touch a vw as servicing and parts are a joke, dont even think about an astra vxr, never seen a car with so many problems in my life, the mazda is cool, but my vote goes out to the xr5 with leather, nice quick little cars out of the box, nice big 5 cyl engine and an all round cool car, black with black leather

  19. i went for a drive in a 400+kw r34 gtr with a hks 2.8ltr and gtrs (big track car build from japan, big brakes ect ) on it and i absolutly couldnt wait to get in it, id been in and driven a few cars including a track prepped 2.6ltr with 2530s but never such a wild build like this, altough the r34 pulled like a train once past around 5000rpm, in all honesty it wasnt really exciting at all, nowhere near as exciting as the track r33 with 360kw, i mean the r34 had to back off at about 180( on a private road of course) as he was running out of road but i guess it all depends on what your after, im sure on the track this 34 may have been a different story all together, but i personaly think that the gtrs turbos he was running were way to big for his application(2.8ltr and street car), let alone a 2.6ltr, i mean im not sure what your after but by the time the power is unleashed its going twice the speed limit, im sure there would be proven setups on the gtrs on 2.6s out there, but im just goin by my own experiences , but if its a drag car or set up for big tracks then by all means, i cant remember if twoogle was a 2.6 or stroked, but that pulled a 9 so depends on your application i guess
  20. thanks for that, 8-900 on shiping isnt too bad considering as you said the workshops up there can throw one together fairly quickly and save some cash on labor, to source parts seems like it would be much easier too, cheaper parts and quite exciting at the same time. all i need is the time to spend over there, the money and a ticket hehe, maybe sometime down the track, untill then, might have to keep it local... i cant wait to see what this 2.8 with gtss goes like, how is it coming along blitz
  21. just a quick question about this kit, would this 2.8 step zero kit run 2530s with a power output of say 380 - 400 rwkw retain the same sort of response of say a built 2.6 running gtsss with 330 - 350 rwkw?, (same supporting mods) im just guessing but it should acheive 380 - 400rwkw with 2530s right? but are 2530s with that amount of power useless with the rev limiter set at 7500-7800 for reliability sake as hks have recomended? just interested to know if a 2.8ltr with 2530s can be built to out perform a 2.6 with gtsss in any and all areas . (mainly response) also beer baron, what are the prices involved in sending a whole built motor to australia from japan if you dont mind me asking. thanks
  22. thanks for that, was asking for a friend
  23. fair enough, i guess you put the term unbreakable to rest hehe, nice thread, all the best with it
  24. so by rights you could make your own trd3000gt today if the parts are still available, i also read that the gaurds were wider aswell, not sure about the quater panels but if so, what, did they sell trd 1/4 panels also? how about a supra with all these parts fitted from factory? have you seen any on your journeys? thanks for the reply
