Agreed a car shouldn't be on the limit of deto. However if a fuel pump was dieing and you were getting low fuel pressure or you dropped off a waste gate line and you were free boosting. lost of different things can cause knock and can happen while your driving it as well
pfc doesn't have a knock map
so if for some reason your car is detonating you blow your engine.

Actually the std one stops the number 6 cylinder running lean.
the air is pushed down hard at the back of the runner causing the number 6 to run lean and the first few to run rich.
Thats the reason that the stock chamber looks strange in the way it delivers air to the number 6 runner.
Alot of tuners will set the mixtures of the back oxygen sensor knowing that if the back is fine then the front will be slightly rich and so safe.
if your doing a cordia get the 4g4 engine , its a 2.4 and it comes out in fwd configuration.
will certainly help wake up the cordia, actually it will more than likely tear out the front of the car with the weakened cordia from all the rust they were famous for

The gtst will kick the gtr in corner entry and mid cornet. its only when you are on corner exit are you going to have an advantage.
If you were building a serious track car you would be suing traction control as well so it would bring the difference in corner entry alot closer.
If you were to use alot of the lite weight gtr parts on an gtst you would end up with a very light and compeitive car.
I have gone the other way and Im putting an rb30det under the bonnet to add extra weight. but oh so cool when you stand on the noise peddle
The gtr was awesome in its day and is a great car I would love one as I think they will be worth heaps in the future.
Spend more and get less. the aftermarket ones seem to be an all loss mod.
I would go for an rb26 system if I was you. just make an adaptor plate to make it work
