ahh good, thanks for letting me know that. ive never taken mine off, i should because i get the 4WD light sometimes (must be fluid, only happens on inclines) the book lists the g-force sensor as a potential fault, fluid, make sure the 'S' light appears next to the 4WD light on the dash if you move the switch. also check the plugs to the attesa ecu which is next to the fluid bottle

check the attesa fluid in the boot, its behind the hidey-hole on the drivers side. i bet you the fluid is low.

spotted a dark coloured M35 AXIS this afternoon around 6.30-6.45 at homebush where ryde road meets concord road. damn nice looking car, that chrome grill looks awesome. older looking guy driving, so im guessing not a member here

ohh and i have the full factory service manuals now covering the entire lineup, there is plenty to work off in them too!

i got it from the yahoo auctions. cost a bit, but was reasonable IMO im going to (eventually) scan it and sell PDF copies (to cover MY costs) for a reasonable price. its a fold out book so might take me a while........ but it covers all M35 models except VQ35DE (i think)

i read somewhere that automatic subarus (the current ones) arent AWD till the fronts start slipping. manuals are constant AWD. not sure how much truth there is to this however.........

rofl!!! i had a nap in the back of mine, wasnt too bad! if i had a mattress or something soft i would have been fine. ahh yes, no bose option for RS. the weight might be wrong, but give or take about 500000kg for the correct range

not to mention putting the rear seats down and two people can sleep comfortably in the back! just to define models slightly further, RS being the base, but had pretty much all the options available to it. RX and ARX are almost identical, ARX got hicas, rear LSD and crappy ride height with the ugly beard AXIS is an RS/RX with a kit, but had nicer leather (ok ok, it had REAL leather) and the interior was prettied up a bit also, RS/RX models had nismo options, from looking at the brochures, nismo options were not available for ARX. ARX also weighs in about 4365763242123454kg heavier due to it being an overweight cop

id like to see an aftermarket ECU before 'fixing' the throttle lag. i think its designed to come on smoothly for passenger comfort and saving driveline wear/problems with the sudden surge of torque. because they do have a LOT anyway, after a shift kit i think the ecu that controls the auto box needs a remap too

you have the factory reverse camera too cam??

there was no RS four s in M35s so one would assume a C34 anyway, looks like its all sorted! RB engine = timing belt VQ engine = timing chain

yeah my factory camera turns on as soon as reverse is engaged. +1 on the sway bars, will be a worthy upgrade thats for sure!!
