  1. All good man wasn't having a dig at you or anything just wanted to point that out. Found it really interesting to know that items were shared between Subaru and Nissan. Now days i wouldn't be surprised in Toyota and Subaru share a fair few parts especially since they are making that new FT-86 together.
  2. I always use the r34 GTR wheels as a reference when i am looking for wheels. The r34 rims are 18x9+30 fronts and rears. These seem to sit pretty flush on the GTT's so if you had only 8inch wide rims you would want a lower offset say +20-25 if they are wider you may want to get a little higher. There are plenty of pics of GTT's with the GTR wheels so you can get a feel for what they look like and how you want your car to look.
  3. Ah yea I see people having to upgrade manifolds and going external gate the cost of a new turbo definitely starts to climb quickly when they are taken into consideration. Since i have the r34 turbo with the bigger rear housing high flowing is probably a good option. Gonna see if i can find someone reliable locally that could do the job for me as i can't go without a car for long periods of time unfortunately. Thanks for the help
  4. When you get a fuel pump is a FPR needed? I'm a little unsure when your actually meant to get a FPR when you get bigger injectors?
  5. For the criteria he wants nothing is gonna be good on insurance. The N/A cars might be a bit better but it's still seen as a sports coupe the most hated evil car ever made according to insurance companies. The subie may be a little better on insurance as it's sedan.
  6. Just wondering as to why people generally go for hi flow turbos rather than a brand new turbo? From the prices i have seen the high flow option really isn't all that much cheaper and if you end up going for BB high flow it cost about the same or more than aftermarket garret turbos. Any information is appreciated as I am looking at one of the 2 options. Was thinking of high flowing but the price seems more than i expected and may as well just go new it seems.

  9. What have you got as my car is generally gonna be daily driven 235 was pretty much the tyre width i want
  10. bump it up very interesting to see what people are fitting. Always thought 9inch wide with +30 i.e. GTR wheels was about the limit seems you can get much more aggressive offset. Would be interested to see what people needed to do to get them fitted i.e. rolled/flared guards with camber

  13. Ah ok i get ya. Didn't realise the gear's actually got smaller as you moved up in gearchanges heard you saying that 4th was 1:1 and what not but still was unsure. Thanks for the explanation

  15. Just a question. Using your mountain bike theory say you are in the highest gear and yes it is hard to gain speed but to keep that speed its generally not hard at all. Soon as you try gain a bit of speed it's a helluva lot easier to drop down a few gears obviously. Thought this would be similar with the car if it's basically only rolling or have the smallest bit of throttle to keep it going their shouldn't be high stresses on anything in the vehicle? Also due to the fact that there is next to no engine braking at these speeds the drive train doesn't get that more sudden jolt if you happen to take your foot off the accelerator quickly (albeit this seems like a very minor unless your in real low gears)
  16. I get squealing when braking really lightly and only for the first 5 mins of driving if i do any heavier braking than just the bare minimum doesn't usually make a noise. I'm just gonna accept it since it seems common
  17. If i can get a rough guideline on the cost say within 200 (+ -) of whatever amount that's all i need. If it's within budget and i believe it to be better than anything within that cost range I'd be very interested. Anyone know of any/many members in Brisbane with these kits? Would love to have a quick ride in a car to see how it is comfort wise

  19. I don't see changing the oil having any real effect on the smoke produced from over-fueling. Sure it wasn't just a placebo effect or is your car burning oil as well?
  20. Nistune utilises the factory cold start function so if it is something strange the ECU has learned over time reset may be good although i have no idea what the go is with resetting it when you have Nistune already installed and what not should be the same but don't take my word for it
  21. Or not water temp gets up in about 2-3 mins in my car but oil temperature isn't up to 70 degrees (lowest value on my stock oil temp gauge r34) until closer to 10 minutes of driving

It's available now and you can get a free copy of portal which i took for sure I loved playing assault when having a good CT team as all the people who quickly choose T are all smug usually thinking there's no way they can lose but with a good ct team hitting them from multiple directions at the same time it ends up being a rollover. I might have to download CSS again this thread reminds me of all the mad stuff you could do such as surfing, breakfloor maps, zombie mod and then just the regular playing oh and gungame im sure theres more mods out now too gotta check it out
