  1. Maybe a dodgy c.a.s ? Swap it with a know working one Could be a fuel pump/pressure issue also check what the pressure is doing on cold starts .
  2. Yeah mate it suck working with low life's :-(.... I have a mig and ac dc tig at home blake slowly starting to get my tools together ... didnt even think of using my oven :-) gotta start thinking out side the box a bit more I think I will go round to some machineing shops Friday after work seen as I can't get on the mill at work ;-) Thanks heaps for all the help mate

  4. Nah bro I just haven't been able to due to some dramas at work ..... I cant take it in because someone has been stealing tools so they are not letting anyone do jobs on the side or loan out tools ATM and I don't have a way of preheating or drilling the hole :-( .... It suck us good ones get punished for stupid shot others do :-( Ps heat shield looks good red mate I'd leave it hahah

  7. Your drop saw?? That's not bad for a decent drop saw I got my self a hitachi drop saw I love it paid for itself a few times now hahahah what's next on the fabrication list mate ??

  11. Nah mate not plenums u need an Ac -HF( alternating current -high frequency) capable welder although a lil dc inverter will tig as long as it can it can run gas aswell U could go mild and stainless

  15. Yeah It takes practice and a lil coordination but if you get some one to show you the basics it helps alot
  16. Is it Ac also ayvon? I hit uni tig (Jasic ) Ac fc welder for 1400 through work good lil 200 amp jobbie

You could also try the "walking the cup " style of welding to help with consistency ;-) For stuf like intakes and cooler pipes I only do a nice hot fuse but try and roll the pipe so I get in one run ... It's only a fuse weld but is still a full weld and plenty strong enough for cooler pipes and intakes! As for going back over the welds I use to think it was cheating also lol but it's not that uncommon of a practice In the last year I have heard heaps of ppl say that's what they do hahaha Although if it was structual I would do a nice hot root run first make sure u have peno first then go over it if need be
