Did you have the air flow meter tested. They are very expensive brand new.. I would suggest if you need a new one you call someone like justjap (www.justjap.com) and see what they can do as far as getting you a replacement. To display a pic you need to upload it to a web server and then put the URL in brackets like this.. http:///blah or if you go post reply you can attach them I think.. not sure if prank has this enabled tho.

If the cops did that to me I would have just gone with the flow, been polite and friendly. Then would take photos of my car, maybe even go to a honda dealer and ask them to verify that it does not have fog lights (for a laugh) and then send in a letter of appeal. if that fails take it to court.

I dont think a mobile mechanic would be qualified to work on a import. They are good at doing oil changes on your fleet holden or ford. Do you have a skyline and is this what you need it for?

When I got my skyline I was paranoid about parts being hard to get.. This is not an issue. Like tosh suggested, all you need is your Chassis number. (not the import vin number on your rego slip). With that nissan can find any part you need.. (pritty much anyway)

I have never heard of these Project Mu HC Titan Kai Pads.. Probably because it sounds like a Anime Movie not a brake pad.. lol I am keen to try ferodo's higher end pads in my car one day. What material are those Project Mu pads?

yeah.. but the faster you slow down the faster you can speed up again. otherwise you end up in the dirt! hahaha.. and I have done that before.

Read what I posted Aplex. I didn't bite his head off.. I was helping him utilise this forum better, and then gave him a suggestion on where to look for infomation. If I was biting his head off I would have told him to f-off.

Bendix are a street pad, they hold up to wakefield park "okay" but you need to give them a rest every few laps. however they chew the rotors ALOT more than most other pads. So yeah you save on pads but your rotors wont last as long.. meh I used race brakes RB74 and they where fantastic, the sbs are better again. You get what you pay for, i was racing on $150 pads on the weekend and will change to the sbs pads ASAP! With the rb74's my car was on the track at wakefield for a full hour (first me driving 20 minutes, then someone else then me again.)

at least you got something funky! it took me about a month to fully get used to the heavy steering in my 89 aw11 mr2.. getting into the skyline was weird.. powersteering is my friend.

I had a ball.. Was a little frustrated about the brakes being spungy and a bit meh but the car was running better than it ever has! Was weird to be back out on the track, its been a while. I will swap out the pads for sbs ceramic pads, flush the fluid again (did it on saturday) and then throw on some decent tyres and aim to better my 1:16.. which should not be too hard.

My best time is 1:16. Went out yesterday but only managed a 1:20 (consistant tho).. My brake pads where cheap and nasty (aka.. fadeeee so I was braking very early)... plus my tyres can't put the power to the road or grip well under brakes.. all in all not too bad at all! merli is right, its easier to drive a slower car fast! My accerator pedal was like a handbrake!

Was an awesome day!! I had traction issues under acceleration which was interesting and fun, and also my brake setup was not that impressive.. but these are all things easily fixed. I was 4 seconds off my best time but impressed since the car is vastly different now and has not seen the track for 13 months! Thanks john and co.. Also thanks to john webb who took some time to give me some pointers on the track. Shall be back in action soon with new brakes and tyres. John.. whats the deal with the DVD? Would love some footage of the car on the track.

I live on the northern beaches Horrible busses.. takes about 1 - 1:30hr to get to work in the morning by bus (i work in the rocks.. get off at wynard).. Getting home at night sucks. Im moving to the lower north shore.. Trains > Busses
