Spotted same maroon R32 GTR on Athalon this morning.

Trozzle, I believe we spotted each other this morning coming out onto Barr Smith? Gave each other a wave.

I had my R33 GTR serviced yesterday and they found the following that needs replacing: 1. Engine fan housing cracked 2. Both inner CV boots split and left rack boot split 3. Both front struts leaking and left rear shock leaking Thye above was the suggested order I fix the items by the workshop. I know how much coil overs will be to fix number 3 but does anyone know around about how much the others should be? They also found the left cam cover leaking. Thanks in advance for any info. Thanks for the info, much appreciated. They found a couple little things during the service that I want to get sorted first, such as cracked CV boots etc.

Spotted same maroon R32 GTR on Athalon Dr. this evening at about 1800. Got a wave. It sounded nice. If your on here I was in the silver R33 GTR. You were behind me coming up through Bonython.

Plans are: Replace stock turbo's turbo's back exhaust system Cams and cam gears Fcon Pro Will do turbos and exhaust first and at the same time, then get the other stuff done. Unless I win that $50 million lotto draw! Not looking for extreme power. Something super responsive.

Was probably me. Just picked the car up from Ultimate Tunes and was on the way home around then.

Spotted a nice maroon R32 on Athalon heading out of Tuggeranong this morning at about 0800.

Sinista32, Cheers. Had it tuned at Ultimate Tunes in Phillip. Sure seems to like the cold! TiTAN, Yes stock, so I think they spin the CAS? It doesn't feel quite as torquy down low but has more in the top end now by the feel of things.

Well I finally had my R33 GTR put on a dyno and slightly tuned. It is stock except for boost restrictor removed and slight timing adjustment. I bought it when I was living in Perth about a year ago, which is where I had the initial tune done. Before tune and boost restrictor removed it made 230hp at all four wheels. After they removed the restrictor it made 288.2hp (214.99kw) at all fours. Having moved to Canberra, different elevation and temp etc. I thought I would have it re-tuned. Tonight it made 297.71hp (222kw) at all fours. Feels slightly different in the way boost comes on but very happy. Not big numbers I know....But one day maybe! ; )

Or maybe a 3 for 1? Hehe.

Spotted same blue R33 this morning in Kambah on Drakeford at about 0800.

Spotted blue R33 with black wheels I think. At about 5:30 on Drakeford Kambah. Reciprocal waves.

Spotted yesterday at around 5:30 in Kambah: White R32 (Not sure what model) turning right off Drakeford at the intersection near Kambah shops. Black R32 GTR parked at Kambah shops.

Hi all, Yesterday I installed an Apexi Power Intake into my R33 GTR. They replaced the dodgy wire mesh type fake alloy pods that were in it when I bought it. I have noticed though that now the responsiveness has been diminished somewhat. I am assuming that this is because the airflow is more restricted with the Apexi (proper) pod filters rather than just wire mesh. My car was slightly tuned when we lived in Perth, basically adjusted the timing slightly and removed the boost restrictor. I am thinking I need to have it stuck on a dyno and the timing re-adjusted to suit the new intake system. Can anyone give me an idea of the cost in Canberra to have someone do this? And any suggestions on where to take it would be appreciated. I am aware of Ultimate Tunes, which is 10 minutes up the road from me. Cheers.

That is what I thought. The turbos in the above links look like they have steel wheels though. so maybe they are stock R34GTR turbos?

Hi Nismoid, I was not sure as they look like steel wheel turbos. Did later model R33 GTR's upgrade from ceramic turbine wheels to steel?
