  1. Spotted a silver R34 GTR this morning at the Canberra Hospital carpark.
  2. Spotted Bayside Blue R34 GTR in Hyperdome carpark today at around 1230.
  3. Can happen at anytime really, whether hot, cold or in between. Nothing ever happens to the lights, except the 4WD light sometimes comes on as a result and stays on until I turn the car off and back on. It never stalls and always starts fine. Its like the engine keeps running but there is no accelerator response (if that makes any ense?). So the engine does not stall or shut off etc. It is like even though I have my foot on the gas it just goes to idol.
  4. I have not swapped the AFM's and quite likely they are still the originals. How much are AFM's?
  5. I know when I had it on the dyno they said that the fuel pump is old and was struggling. I don't think voltage is dipping. Would any of the AFM or possible fuel pump issues make the 4WD light come on though? I guess this is making me lean towards an electrical issue.
  6. Not sure, will have to look at it when it happens next. Normally when it starts I am focused on not hitting the car in front of me when it surges or the car behind me running into me!
  7. I had this happen last spring a couple of times and then it just stopped; it has now started again. Basically as I am driving (whether just starting in 1st or 2nd or cruising in 4th or 5th) the car starts to stop, then surge, stop, surge etc. It feels like there is a complete loss of power to the engine, but there isn't because it is still running. I.e. if I pull over it is idling fine. Occasionally the 4WD light comes on when this happens, but not all the time. When this happened last year I thought maybe dirty AFM's or dirty fuel. I initially thought AFM's as there was a heap of pollen around the first time it started happening. But this wouldn't account for the 4WD light I don't think. Maybe an electrical issue with the ATTESSA? It's odd though because I can still have my foot in the same position on the accelerator and power cuts, then surges back on. Any thoughts?

  9. Spotted a gun metal R32 GTR tonight at about 1750 on Athllon Dr. Tuggeranong. Mutual waves.

  12. I went out and had a look. Was with the family so didn't really get to introduce myself. I was the one standing off to the side with my wife and two kids. Was fund to watch. next time hopefully I can have a go!

  14. Just spotted Trozzle in the orange beast coming off Athlon Dr onto Barr-Smith. Also parked a couple spots away from a nice Bayside Blue R34 GTR in the parking lot across from from KFC in Tuggeranong. I was just a little jealous!
  15. Hi all, Just wondering if the following turbo specs would suit an R33 GTR. I was looking at GT2530's. Model : GT2871-1 Comp H/W(ind) : A/R.60— Ф54.13 Turbine H/W(exd) : A/R.64— Ф46.2 Cooled : Water Thrust bearing : 360° Actuator : Internal Flange : 5 Bolt What would be the differences between the two models? I am not really up to spead on turbo's. I am looking for responsiveness and to stick with the low mount twins. Cheers.

  18. Yeah not likely to get any rust down here, unless its from salt during snow season! LOL The CV boot cover and CV joint in my XT went during a drive from Sydney to Airlie Beach in Qld when we moved up there. The car started to shake at Mackay so nursed it all they way to Airlie Beach. I actually think it happended on one of the caine rail crossings as we were fully loaded down and hitting them at about 120-130km's.
  19. Yeah not sure why. I had the same thing happen on my XT Forester as well as a front drive shaft. Maybe its an all wheel drive thing!

  21. I live just up the road and use your street as shortcut to avoid that top round about. The organge isn't so bad I guess....Paint some black GT stripes on it and your good for 10% more power! LOL Your R33 looked good to me mate.
  22. Spotted Trozzle's purple R33 in his driveway (I assume) next to the oragne work van?
  23. Spotted a gunmetal R32 coming onto the Parkway at Woden this morning. Both gave a wave.
