no i didn't change the fork pivot, wasn't aware of having to change it at all. are u sure about a longer shaft on the clutch slave cylinder??........cos i asked one of my mates today and he said somthin about shortening it........though he could be wrong. and btw is the fork pivot located near the clutch pedal or where? i don't konw too much about them, but thanks for the help is there any possiblity that just adjusting the pedal will elimate the problem..or only to a certain degree???? and will the clutch get screwed up if i drive with it like this for a few day, not saying i will but just incase its not fixed immediatly and i need to drive somewhere? noise isn't greatly loud but can just hear it slightly if ya listen for it.

alrighty, thanks steve for that, i think i'll be back putting it back on today, already served its purpose of being off - so i could adjust the actuator rod.
-
yup it was part of the kit

wots the pros and cons of removing this? i thought it would cool the turbo more by removing it, but then again by removing it would let excess heat cause the motor and rest of the motor to heat up more. wots ur opinions? and does it make it defectable in VIC?
-
nah just a single plate Heavy Duty

well i've got a HD daiken clutch put in the other day with a help of a mate of mine, it was all aligned right, bleed, and otherwise adjusted so the grab point is nice.- although seems though the grab point is just off the ground. although i'm still getting a slight "brrrrrrrr" noise like its still engaged when i'm not on the clutch and even more noticeable when its jsut sitting there in neutral. Someone told me i gotta shorten the rod going into the master clutch cylinder. is this right or wot? what should i do so adjust it correctly so its not constantly rubbing and wearing out?? thanks ben

need help with installing gearbox!!!!!!!
BenA31 replied to Mr GTS4's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
my mate did a conversion from a auto non turbo r32 to a turbo manual just a week or 2 ago, and yeah from wot i remember he had a similar problem, i think he needed a custom mount thing (the standard manual gearbox mount wouldn't fit to the chassis of the previous auto area) cos the bell housing was a different shape of that for the auto. i'm probally wrong in this, but from wot i'm aware, might b ur problem......... -
pm me too!!

i need a stock wastegate actuator for a R32 for a gtst.........asap will swap for one that i got that runs on min 13psi
-
if anyone has a stock wastegate actuator for a R32 gtst they want to sell or swap, please let me know, one that i have now runs min at about 13 psi. Or if anyone knows where i can get one please also let me know, thanks heaps!! i need it ASAP!
-
so where would be a good place to get a new actuator from?? i'm getting the car dyno tuned on monday so would need one b4 then.
-
well say the min boost at the momment is 13 - 15 psi, wouldn't this mean that somthin has been modifyed in the wastegate. cos the stock boost on a r32 wouldn't be more then like 7-8psi. its just not adding up to me. so i want to get the car back to stockish boost and then with the boost controller be able to increase it a bit to wher ei want maybe to like 10-11 psi. 13 or more pounds of boost is just a bit too much for my car i think, wit the mods i got, don't have a front mount yet either.....

i have a r32 gtst and have put a manual turbosmart boost controller to lower the boost that was on my car (at like 13psi with just hose from turbo to wastegate, maybe bit more now with controller on), although i can't seem to get any adjustments from it. I've also got a wolf3d so no need for fuel cut defender. Also got new smaller braided hoses put on so more restriction. I've got a feeling its somthin wit the wastegate acuator.....like a shortened rod or upgraded spring??? anyone got any idea wot could be the matter or how to check if its the actuator?? i'm in glen wav if anyone wants to help me out. also some form of restrictor plug maybe help??? cheers ben
