I bought one of these fireball challanges at a market in great nock for $10 because it had the blue calsonic r32 GTR and a 300zx in AFX paint scheme.

Its heartbreaking stuff to see how cheap good R32's are becoming! Great car don't budge on price!

Whats IACV? Is that the AAC/Idle Control Valve?

Nope motor hasn't been touched for at least 5 years. Driven rarely so minimal maintenance has been required, just new injectors 2 years ago. This is my first nigly problem (touch wood).

My car used to allways idle around 1200 and now just hunts for idle all the time. engine temp doesn't make difference. Think I will do the AAC valve first as people seem to have good results. How do I check the Idle switch on the TPS? Thanks for any assistance.

So the AAC valve is completeley seperate to the idle control valve? How would I go about tracking down a vacum leak? Just checking all the hoses?

Hello, My R32 GTR has an idle problem as it constantly swings between around 1300-1900 RPM. No other issues when driving though just when engine is meant to be idleing. I have seen the DIY Tutorial for AAC valve for RB25. Is anyone aware if it is the same process on RB26? Also can anyone suggest what other problems could cause this idle issue? Regards, Rohin

Yep fun day, have not been to one in a while. R32 GTR, 550cc injectors, power fc, 1 bar boost and exhaust = 222 awkw (running a bit rich though 11.5:1) Great to meet both Terry and Matt! (I will email you soon Terry regarding photos & video) I seem to have annoying constant idle fluctuation between 1300-2000 Anyone have any ideas?

You sure it wasn't a gtr with an s-tune engine? Because you can buy a crate engine in s, r tune can't you? Those pics of s-tune cars look awesome!!!

I have an old cooler Serck oil cooler which looks in great condition (just dirty), this was given to me so I have never used it. I want to ensure it is safe to use. Does anyone know who could clean it out and flow test it around Sydney Hills area?

Your usually allowed to drive to the closest inpection point in your area so I don't think you would be able to drive to sydney. You have to ensure you have made a booking so if you are pulled over along the way the officer (if they reaaly want to) can ring up the place and confirm your booking, and that your not just driving around. Even if you are doing this though your greenslip and insurance are not valid. I dunno how you will go driving from central coast to sydney though.

I bought a Dlink wireless router/modem, its OK but I think I should have gone for a netgear or Belkin like Nismoid says.

I've had a lada, not a bad car, defineatley not a good car somewhere inbetween.lol. Sold it to a freind and he had trouble galore. The family car is now a 62 series landcruiser and is much much better as an off road and reliable vehicle, and they are relativeley cheap these days. I've got two of these as well.lol.

I think this motor would be great in an esky, they usually have a fair amount of room (at least the mk 1 did)!
