  1. I would source Jap parts as first choice....as they have been tried and tested and also in most cases are made specifically to your make and model and best part is the bolt on mods are just tht..."straight bolt on" no messing around.
  2. Check out JVCs range of headunits....best bang for buck. Post a pic of your current HU...may be interested...

  8. Apparently they are: In a specialized process perfected by Alumax, a leading aluminum manufacturer, uniquely structured alloy billets are heated to a semi-solid state (the consistency of soft butter) and molded in a specifically engineered forging press. The positive aspects of this process found applications in the aircraft and automotive sectors. Through an exclusive contract with Alumax, SSR conducted additional research and development and built their wheel manufacturing plant in Japan to produce alloy wheels using Semi-Solid Forging (SSF) technology. They further developed SSF technology, were granted a patent, and are the first and only SSF wheel manufacturer in the world today producing Semi-Solid Forged alloy wheels. This ultra high tech forging technology creates a very strong and lightweight wheel ideal for street or track.
  9. hellaflush!
  10. SSR wheels are comparable to the likes of Works and Rays wheels in Japan. They have been famous for wheels like the SSR type C, Professors and even VIP wheels. They went bust a while ago in Japan but have since been bought over by Tanabe so alls good! I've got the SSR proffessors in Black and they are an awesome lightweight 3 piece construction. See here for more details: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/ssr/ssr.jsp

  13. sorry but those ain't GTCs
  14. +2 Tell him to buy a skyline and stick 185 tyres all round, then post pics up on here so we can all have a good laugh and tell him what a dick he is.
  15. Ah ok, if the standard water temp gauge starts moving up then u may have an issue. Mines never gone past the normal spot just below middle.
  16. I'm with ssshonky...if the standard gauges read normal then you should be fine? IF you didn't have the Greedy infometer you wouldn't have a clue and think tht everything is ok? Unless you had the infometer prior and it was reading lower? If you get what I mean?
  17. r33s and 34s run very similar offsets. you should try 235/40 fronts and 255 or 265 rears.
  18. there are quite a few 34s I know who have 19s or 20s with no issues..although I don't see the practicality and you will definately sacrifice ride comfort and handling. First things first, the "springs" u used, how low have you gone? (measure from center of wheel to guard) secondly, What offsets are the wheels that are scrubbing? Thirdly, what profile/width tyre are you running? Personally I'd pick option 3. If you click my signature you will see all the 18" wheels I've had so far, their different widths and offsets. Currently running 18x8.5 +35; 18x9.5 +35. Only minimal rubbing on the front inner guards when going up my driveway on full lock. Oh also running 235/40 and 265/35 tyres front and rear respectively. IF your 19s are rubbing on the outer guard, consider running thinner width tyres front and rear. Suspension choice also affects ride comfort. lowered springs with stock suspension is not advisable. There is a Bilstein GB that everyone highly recommends...I have chosen a set of Tein Super Streets which is a nice compromise between street and track use, whilst maintaining ride comfort. Recommended ride height is around 340-350mm from center of wheel to guard..any lower will look hot but handle crap.
  19. Miss Niz = 73ENA, the other white ones mine
  20. spacers are illegal.
  21. there have been 3 sets of GTCs for sale on this forum alone in the last couple of months..2 have been sold ..do a search in the classifieds.. Otherwise, as Wink said, try the ns.com or sau traders who bring in containers of 2nd hand wheels...
  22. Congrats to Chris & Natalie on their wedding day! Thanks for letting us be a part of it, we had a blast and the weather was great! Pics below Go 4drs!!
  23. Brand new from Japan in 18s will cost you close to 4k landed. 2nd hand sets will set you back between 2 - 2.5k depending on widths and condition.
  24. +40 is factory offset for most skylines. If you are getting new wheels aim for lower offsets eg: +30, +35 on an 8"/9" wide rim.
  25. Tht is what 7.5" widths and +40 offset look like
